I had a lot of fun putting this mix together.....Steinski is a legend and way way way ahead of his time.....inspired a generation of DJ's and this was my tribute to him.....some of these samples are the holy grail of crate digging and have been sourced over many decades!!!
2:44-2:53 was taken from an outake reagan did on daily sunday radio address. haha. he didnt know they were taping at the time. he caught alot of flak for saynj that.
holy shit..this is insane..and i knew that intro in grand master flash wheels of steel was from the movie `flash gordon`...1:40-1:45..thats don pardo sayin flash...gordon..fuck wiki..i couldnt find it anywhere..but i knew..and once again, this shit is nice...
Ist ja mal was anderes. Das Baby von Grandmaster Flash am Mikrofon, Paul Hardcastle stand am Drehtisch und Tarzan war auch zu hören, als er einen Stromschlag beim einstecken der Lianen-Anschlusskabel zum Mischpult bekommen hat. Der Rest von den anderen Musikern hat sich wohl heimlich reingemixt. Und am Ende haben dann die Space Brothers mit Echo-Effekt alle in's All befördert.
Da musste sogar der Zombie von Michael Jackson's Thriller zwischendurch drüber lachen.
