Those planes were A6 intruders. The predecessor to the F18.
Each plane can drop 18000 LBS of bombs. They were very intimidating to the Vietnamese.

Nope those are S-3 Vikings........Intruder has been out of service since the early 90's. Those are general electric engines TF-34 high bypass turbo fan engines. Cool little plane to bad it retired this year :(
