You have not lived long enough to have any well informed opinions. Read some of the medical literature for real numbers on abortion because the predominantly religious pro-life movement, like their cousins the creationist movement, have no problems breaking the 9th commandment to suit their cause. Numbers from reliable data tell the story, whether it is welcomed or not.
@suey4040 Yes you are! You havent had access to the experiences that can change your perspective on the world. You barely sniffed the cork so to speak. Every teenager says that, wants to be treated like an adult, and than around 25 or so they look back and realize how little they really know. The only way you are old enough is if you live in and have since birth lived in a sheletred community, in which case youve peaked over the fence but you still dont know what youre seeing.
@suey4040 people younger and older than you think meat is murder, like when you bite into a sandwich with cold-cuts, or eat a chicken salad. theyre members of peta. they say they know what murder is too. sadly, what we think or think we know is of very little importance. so many people have opinions.
@TheCaptainLulz This is ridiculous. There is no certain age that, when reached, suddenly gives you the right to have an opinion. We constantly switch our opinions, or alter them, throughout our entire lives. This doesn't just apply to our teenage years. Because information is always increasing, we learn more each day and our philosophies adapt accordingly. If we held back our opinions because we feared we might change our minds later, we'd never say a word.
@TheCaptainLulz Well for someone who is older, you choose to act foolish while this young lady uses common sense to tell others the truth that abortion is murder! Since your hung up on age, I'm 39 soon to be 40 and trust me I've seen much much in the world. Guess what..? Abortion is MURDER of a human being, end of story. Read some facts before you spout off nonsense.
@suey4040 I know what you are trying to do and I respect that you are mature enough to engage in the big conversations. But you havent had time to feel crushed by the weight of the world yet, And that is something you have to do before you know why people like me are rabidly (or perhaps jadedly) pro-abortion. I can tell you that I never want to bring kids into this world in thye first place, personally speaking.
@TheCaptainLulz Sorry, but I have to say something. CaptainLulz, age is not a reason to discredit someone. I'm sixteen years old, too, and I'm strongly pro-choice. I've read all the arguments, I've debated countless people, and I've read dozens of articles and literature on the subject. My age doesn't make me any less knowledgeable on the subject. Please argue using facts, not a person's age.
@TheCaptainLulz Well informed? I was unaware it took the entirety of one's teenage years to read some books. Were you a very slow reader as a teen? Youth does not equal ignorance, these days it might mean just the opposite.
@TheCaptainLulz you have lived too long, have become desensitized by your culture and have become rigid and arrogant in your beliefs. I debated with someone similar, who, though still young, dismissed my cold, hard, facts because they were "sensationalist" and "propaganda".
In the end, certain people are unwilling to examine their life and beliefs because they are comfortable, cowardly, inflexible, and unwilling to entertain the possibility that they are not right.
@Aiurasensei Desensitised...yes. I prefer jaded. But I hold no religious dogma in wy mesage. I left the life you are talking about after, religious teaching , scripture, all of it is fantasy, its make believe. Im not going to try to convict you at all, If you are happy doing what you are doing dont stop, please. I hope greatly that you dont become as jaded as I am. Regards.
...talk about the great ironies of my entire life. I've been sitting here in stunned silence for 10 minutes. To think that Christianity promotes willful ignorance never even occurred to me. I always thought people sought to become better people...Christianity must actively seek to keep its laity ignorant to hold on to them. It makes perfect sense.
Sweet Mother of Jesus....the irony it burns. From here on out you can consider me an atheist. I renounce any Christianity I once had. Permanently.
I finally figured it out: pro-life is an anti-black organization created by white women who are afraid that if black women start enjoying a healthy sex life then they won't be able to enjoy sex either. The pro-life movement is basically the KKK.
What tipped me off is how the pro-life movement twists Margaret Sanger's writings. I guess only ignorant and gullible Catholics who are illiterate will champion the cause while the smarter adults who run it know to keep their faces hidden :-)
@suey4040 You know on my high school football team most of my team is black. It's not a big thing for me to go to their house and eat dinner and my mom just last week cooked dinner for 2 members (one of which was black). You see I couldn't even figure out why pro-life was so racist because I'm not used to it myself.
I bet it feels soo good having the same feeling about Obama as you do the majority of people who don't have the money for health care. :-)
@Water4Jeremiah You know one of my best friends is black? Yeah. Definitely not a racist. I'm excusing myself from this conversation now. Have a nice day.
@suey4040 From video #16: "I turned to her because she is...you know...African American and I said that uh, did you know that Planned Parenthood's founder was a racist?"
Why did you have to mention her race? A friend is someone you invite to your house and break bread with. I seriously doubt you've ever even considered the notion of inviting her over.
If you're not so self-righteous, why not try listening to Margaret Sanger's words in context instead of quote-mined? video: qI96JroxO1I
@suey4040 Didn't you know? White people are forbidden to speak about issues relating to blacks. The punishment for forsaking this holy commandment is to be labeled a racist.
So, yes, you're a racist. . .
And you know what else? I bet you own slaves.
. . .and kill babies. . .oh wait. . .anyway, the slave thing is probably true. ;)
@TheSurrealTruth If Christians thought for themselves, I guess they wouldn't be Christians ;) In the end you are either knowingly misleading this girl, or you are mistaken yourself. I think it is the former since there's a level of facetiousness in your tone.
After reading Sanger, it's quite humorous how her quotes are taken out of context when she was basically seeking to prevent black people from birthing themselves into povert...oh...I get it now. Less ignorant people = less Christians. Wow.
@Water4Jeremiah Oh. . .I get it now. You're a troll! Well, either that or you're crazy. Either way it makes responding to you seem kind of pointless. And as fun as trolling a troll might seem, I'd rather not spam Mary's comments.
Again, that's true, but a baby is a separate person, not part of the woman's own body. No one has the right to do whatever they want to ANOTHER person's body, even if the person isn't out of the womb yet. The only difference between abortion and murder is location.

And do you realize that the only abortions paid for by the government involve rape, incest, or threat to the health of the mother? 97% of Planned Parenthood's services are not abortion, and just like any other clinic, they get grants and reimbursements for birth control, pap smears, and STD testing. In fact they do it more cheaply than many other providers, so they save the government a lot of money.
BTW, for something fun, look up the Youtube video "Jesus Camp Extract Praise Bush".
If you think a webcam consultation by the doctor is impersonal, you should be happy Nebraska allows them. In Nebraska, a woman must receive state-directed counseling that includes information designed to discourage her from having an abortion and then wait 24 hours before the procedure is provided. So, a real live pro-life propagandist vs an abortion provider via video, who do you think will have an impact?
Next time you should talk about the man in Ohio who pleaded guilty to "fetal homicide" for forcing his pregnant girlfriend to have an abortion (the article is on Reuters). I just think it's such a poignant example of the double-standard there is in pro-choice "feminism:" If the mother wanted the child, it's "fetal homicide;" if she didn't want it, she's praised for making an independent choice. Makes total sense... :P
Read in Matthew 4, where even satan himself is so familiar with the Word of God where he quotes to Jesus, "it is written". The devil weaves in so much truth into what he say's that to catch his lies is basically impossible. He even nowaday's adds certain types of music in the background for the emotional effect, (some american chruches do this) True worship has to do with the mind, emotions, and will of the person. The way to catch a fake is to know the real thing. Study the Word of daily.

I am proud to say that I'm a pro-lifer AND an anti-animal cruelty advocate as well. I don't understand why someone would be against hurting animals but yet be okay with killing unborn children... almost doesn't make sense when you think about it.

@ArbuckleBailey Isn't it?? I just can't believe what's been happening to our country and the resemblance it is getting to Stalinistic Russia and Germany when it was under Hitler's control. It scares me.

There are so many issues here I can not comment on them. I applaud your standing up and for Pro Life. It is good to see that younger people do have good values. Good Luck.
