  • Beautiful, especially "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" I love it. ^-^

  • wonderful! i love it!!! <3

  • pretty damn good but you probably need more people of percussion for it to be truly spectacular!

  • 6:10 can you feel the love tonight.......!! xD

  • Love this so much!!

  • nice work! keep uploading record like this please!

  • just WOW!!!!!

  • I stood up and applauded :')

  • 11 people clearly have no taste in good music.

  • Surpreendente!!!

  • Just great!

  • What other selections were on this program?

  • Someone could say that arrangement is this?

    That author and publisher?

    very good interpretation

  • Clarinets rock!!!!! every instrument makes the music sound soooooooo delightful. clarinets sound like violines of the band. They rock!!!!!

  • I am struggling to be the only one playing the mallet percussion part in this piece

  • AWESOME!

  • yeah, you guys rock !

  • We are currently playing this in band and you guys sound really good

  • what is the song that begins around 3:50 ?

  • @thevampgirl25 i think its be prepared sung by scar

  • im in junior high and in highschool band and we are thinking about playing this :)

  • Who's Arrangement is this? im playing Paul Lavender's Arrangement, which ends with The Circle of Life, which comes at the beginning of this arrangement =|

  • @Ptro001 Someone could say that arrangement is this?

    That author and publisher?

  • @umtorrent The publisher is Hal Leonard. The music was arranged by John Higgins. You can find the arrangement at JW Pepper music. It's catalog #2308245.

  • The French horns sound great!!! (as a former FH player myself)

  • i hate when the video is slightly off from the audio so the conductor and the band seem to be at different tempos.... great job though!

  • very well Conducted!

  • hakuna matata

  • Just amazing!

  • Bari sax FTW

  • i wish my advanced band bcould play it cuz i noe the whole song by heart 7^7

  • i love all the songs and i just love it

  • My school band played this last year... I wish we were this good, but we have almost no low brass, and the flutes are the only section that know what we're doing.... :(

    Fantastic song, tjhough!

  • i love the lion king *___* it's amazing <3

  • You guys have such nice low brass =]

  • ONG the circle if life. WOW xDDD

  • how old are these players? my grade 10 class ( 15 years old ) is learning this exact piece now, and we sound pretty good.

  • @imadethistocomment4 - We are a volunteer group from the Jacksonville, Florida area - from college students to retirees, and everything in between.

  • @vladtech I wish I can join xD

  • @imadethistocomment4 Same here :P

  • That was phenomenal and I want it on my iPod.

  • Wow this is so beautiful! I HAVE to give major props to the two women on the left. They were juggling 3-4 intruments each! :D the whole piece sounded professional and beautiful. Great job!

  • I really like this, is so beautiful Amazing!

  • Our band is doing this on Nov 9th :) I'm so excited I hope i don't burst into tears!

  • Yeah Clarinets! Rock the beat on Circle of Life!!

(Sorry, I'm a Clarinetist and we are often told you cannot hear us.)

  • @peanutbug529 I can hear them fine. :D

  • @peanutbug529 you are so right! it´s because trumpets are too loud -.-"

  • @TheClariKathy when the solo arrives, you need presence in the solo. So it is justified.

  • @peanutbug529 haha I'm a clarinetist too, we played this medley last year, but my favourite parts are Be Prepared and Can You Feel The Love Tonight :)

  • @peanutbug529 same with our band. there are so many other instruments in ours compared to our measley 4 clarinetists, so you can barely hear us. ANd it doesnt help that 2 of them cant even play the instrument. Whil as across from us, there are 31 flutes, behind us there are 15 alto saxes, to the left there are 14 trumpets, and the stage on our other side

  • @HUNGERGAMESLOVER15 Holy crap! you have 31 flutes in your band!?!? we have two...and i'm one of five clarinetists and six trumpets and i think two alto saxs....

  • @kairi99roxas damn thats small

  • @kairi99roxas In our band we have like...30 clarinets, 27 flutes, 32 Saxs, 4 Tubas, 11 Trombones, And Like 42 Trumpets, 1 Basson, 4 bass clarinets...and many more...and were in humboldt iowa...:/

  • @peanutbug529 Yo también,quien no nos oye es porque no escucha!!!!!!

  • wonderful, very good orchestra

  • Y the change in key at 0:31?

  • @SIAFSX - Because it was written that way?

  • @vladtech I mean the song 'Nants ingonyama' and the song 'Circle of life' have related keys. but here in this arrangement, the key change was quite obvious.

  • @vladtech can I ask what score you are using?

  • @SIAFSX ROFLL

  • Really nicely done!!! Congrats!!!

  • Very Nice!!

I Really Like The Lion King (pt 1)

  • I played this last year in high school and it inspired me to figure out how to play "A Whole New World" from Alladin on Euphonium by trial by error

    Thumbs up for Disney Songs!

  • I love this! That was awesome. When they started to play the 3 and 4th song, I didn't recognize them at first. When they got into the songs, I knew what songs they were.

  • Great rendition of a great arrangement!

  • I LOVE THIS! I'M SO JEALOUS!

  • I just relived the entire movie of my childhood in 8:44

  • Is there a MP3 version available somewhere?

  • @AdmiralWen give me your email address, i'll send it to you, if i can cross the GFW````

  • super umsetzung!!

  • richtig geilll

  • Awesome!!! :)

  • We're playing this at my school! And Phantom of the Opera! I like Lion King best :P

  • i like how it gets faster in the middle of the first part of hakuna mata. none of the other vis of this do that, and our band does..so i was starting to think we wre the only ones playing it like that. im glad i was wrong, it sounds so much better that way

  • this is the best version ive heard so far. besides our band of course,... :P jk, we suck so far, but its getting better :)

  • @fififluteplayer NO FIFI!!! ONLY SOME PEOPLE IN OUR BAND SUCK! WE ROCK

  • @SaxopwnJazzCombo woah holy crap who is this????

  • that is one of the best versions

  • @Ty6668 and I play 1st trumpet , in the same band ;D

  • Great Job!!! I play 1st clarinet for this xD

  • i can hear the drum kit, but where the hell is it?

  • @JacobNaylor i see it. if you put your mouse over the director's head and move it up until you reach the trombone player, you'll see the guy playing the drums right in front of him. It's kinda hard to tell at first

  • @bored8716 ahhh thanks, the mystery of the phantom drummer is now solved

  • @bored8716 ahhh thanks, the mystery of the phantom drummer is now solved

  • @JacobNaylor the drum set in in front of the trombones. :)

  • No way, the score is the same as the one we're playing in school!

Same order of songs and even same keys (which is pretty normal, I guess) and even same dynamic changes!

    Coincidence? :O

  • @JihoonJKim

Maybe you're playing the same arrangement? Our school is playing this too...

  • @VMFA115Starloric

    Hahaha, that I figured.

In any case, my favorite medley we have <3

(Even though there's Phantom of the Opera.... X_X)

  • so amazing :DD

  • Mozart and Bach would be appreciative!

  • You guys sound amazing! My band is playing this in a couple days for a "pops concert." We probably won't sound this good because we are just a high school band, not professional, but I think we'll do pretty good.

  • AHHHH I'm playing this in band, and I absolutely love it. you guys sounded greatttttt!

  • Nice! I'm playing it now with my orchest....

I'm also playing te oboe! Yeaaaah! :D

  • Nice! I'm playing it now with my orchest....

  • Ok sorry, I didn't read the info text :p

  • Is there a cd or something you can download/buy with the whole performance?

  • amaazinnggg

  • this is soo beautiful that i had goosebumps and got my eyes all teary =')

  • Only two of the song melodies work as an orchestral performance: Can you Feel the Love Tonight, and to a lesser extent Circle of Life. Elton John is a pop-song writer, and it shows. Listening to this, it makes sense why Hans Zimmer (the film's score composer) chose to ignore Elton's melodies for his score.

  • DA DA DA DEE DEE DAH....ugh, this is embarassing. Not the orchestra's fault, however; they're doing a fabulous job with the material they were given.

  • @webeffect what did you expect from a piece converted from lyrics?

  • @WIDOW68 Listen to the subtleties, layers, and complexities weaving in and out of those Aladdin compositions. At times, it seems like a single song melody can be split into two underlying melodies that could become THEIR OWN SONGS. In Be our Guest this is not easily heard at first, but listen to what is possible 45 seconds onwards. I picked Be Our Guest as the second example because it's actually a fairly simple song and yet it's still more complex and musical than anything Elton wrote here.
