Un especialista en modificaciones le está poniendo unos calces fabricados a la medida entre el amortiguador de orígen y la base superior donde van los tornillos arriba. lo fabricó específicamente ya que no hay nada igual en el mercado. The Grand Vitara is a great 4x4. The ONLY compact SUV with a built in ladder frame (on unibody). It was a real 4wd system, with locking low range. It's not a modified trail rig...You'd high center a stock Rubicon, FJ, Hummer on this...

Simple case of this guy picking a horrible line...He essentially "slammed" the GV into a snow bank...Hardly considered wheeling....

But if you read all of the comments here, the majority of people posting can clearly see that it's not the car, it's the guys driving it that are the problem. The large pole was a good idea, but used wrong. Pole should have been placed under the front of the vehicle and then lifted against the bumper to apply leverage backwards.

Regardless, without proper equipment (snow chains, winch, cables, shovels, traction devices, etc), this vehicle was simply not equipped for off-road use. That's the operator's, not the vehicle's, fault.

Finally, a CB radio might have garnished help from a nearby fellow off-roader when those cellphones failed.

Those are low budget factory tires designed for city and light duty use. If you are going to take a 4 wheel drive up into the mountains, get snow tires and bring a nice set of chains. Most suv's don't come with good off road tires because most people never leave the road. I installed good dunlop tires on my Grand Vitara and it would've dragged this Grand Vitara outta the snow bank on it's good tires alone.

I had a similar problem in snow with my Jeep Wrangler. I got out of it by using mini shovel and the 4L option. I guess this is not a problem of Suzuki GV. I am not sure these guys used 4L option or not.
