I'm a figure skater, like on the ice, and this is the first time I've ever even seen anything like this. xD Sooo amazing.

My ice rink is closing down so I won't be able to skate much anymore though....

It's always been my dream to become a pro ice skater but.. bleh.

I was gonna get hockey skates for fun but since I found out the rink is closin i may get some rollerblades. :) I wish there were roller rinks around. I'll have to use the streets.. lol

what kind of skates do they use? just any kind of 4inline wheels without a brake? what size wheels and what is a good brand?

@yliang2 I think freeskates have a pretty hard shell and use 72-80mm wheels. Rollerblade, Powerslide and K2 are usually pretty good.

@k3igu A lot. When we played some silly game within a square of about 15m² and i been on my 100mm wheels i simply gave up because i was way too fast and always went outside the playfield. Others with those tiny wheels didnt have that problem much. But then again when it comes to speed they sweat their asses off to keep up :> And i still manage curves likes those on the street just as good whereas what they do in this video is pretty much impossible. Also it's a weird feeling standing so high.

@k3igu Exactly. I wouldnt use smaller than 84mm. Thats pretty much what everyone starts with. 90mm could work too but if you go higher than that you might have some trouble. And 90mm is already considered as almost-speed-skate so it's really just for running the streets. 84mm are some kinda all purpose wheels.

Expensive French built skates like Seba help. They are for slaloming although you can learn still with aggressive, fitness or recreational skates. Just strap the boot as tight as it will go so there is no motion in the boot.

If you have a skating background like me, I learned at like 11, watch the video then go practice. Simple. You can learn a reasonable amount of about 2-3 hard tricks a day. More if you have slalom skates and the psychological voltage.
