this is a good product and the idea of the polishing barrel is genius. i wud agree her hair becomes very straight but it doesnt get close to the roots.

thats what my hair looks like after i wash it. i use a flat iron on my hair and it makes the ends really dry and crunching so thats why i got this instead.
