@Dan47702 Aside from the fact that cyclists don't have to move over for cars to pass (most do if its is safe and reasonable given traffic and obstacles), when driving at speeds of below 15-20 mph there is little or no point overtaking a cyclist. Many drivers are simply impatient and do not want to wait to overtake safely, this is what cyclists have an issue with, and rightly so because they are the ones that get killed if the driver fucks up. Why are these people in such a hurry?

If you want people to find videos of them on youtube, then maybe you should print up some business type cards to hand out. Instead of trying to get them to understand they should google your handle, or their rego or whatever, just hand them a card. Faster, and for when there's a chance like there was here gets it done with no confusion.

Holland is a real cycling country ,but our codes state the cyclist should always stay ,in our case to the right ,and in your case to the left,and you are not allowed to overtake vehicles that can produce a higher speed than you.And everybody is pleased with that.

@MrTR500 I have the same problem with drivers here. Even if I'm doing 30mph in a 20(Norway has absurdly low speed limits) people still put the pedal to the floor and go right past, just to stop at the next light only 100 meters ahead.

@MrTR500 I have the same problem with drivers here. Even if I'm doing 30mph in a 20(Norway has absurdly low speed limits) people still put the pedal to the floor and go right past, just to stop at the next light only 100 meters ahead.

IQ and common sense are two different things.
This lady is probably a charming lovely person, but doesn't have an awareness of the needs of cyclists.
If the driving lessons included not just the 'practical' teaching of roadcraft, but also included classroom lessons, that would be better.
Imagine a class with a 'cycllists perspective of the road (eg: how/why cyclists stay out of the door zone) that would be superb!

Ahahahhahaha! Stupid cow indeed. I think she might need to take her test again, since she doesn't know very much about driving, much less cycling. And just for clarity, Magnatom was cycling perfectly well there. No excuse for tailgating and trying to push past a cyclist doing the speed limit.

Up to the lights at the cross (where I stop) is downhill. After that it undulates slightly. The road is in good nick so it is good to get up a bit of speed. I did put in a bit extra effort on this occasion! :-)
