I have been there twice. My brother was stationed there. The Hammer is awesome. I miss fine German cooking. Plus a pint of Weihenstephan.

I miss Vilseck, plus all the good things that go with a trip. I miss the crystal and traveling.

Rose Barracks is by far one of the nicest posts I have been on. The commisary is greatly missed.

I lived right across the street from the Vogelturm for about 8 years. I miss that place so much. What was that new store? Is the Kredler gone?

yeah its a bakery and across from the vodafone shop there is a big edeka (shopping center thing)

Unless you liked Country music, Vilseck was a boring ass town in the middle of Nowhere. You had to take the train to get out of that desolate marshland. 91/93. Nürnberg was the place to go. amberg I had a club called the " happy rock" stupid name. the germans liked copenhagen ( Dip ) from the PX. I used to make a decent profit selling that to them, for free passes to the underground rave scene there. FTX Grafenwohr and the wild boar hogs,outdated MRE's, gaurd duty at saha, naha.
