Yeah, Iowa winters are bad. I travel to Des Moines frequently for business, so I know. As far as the mid-life crisis thing, I definitely think that you should go back to school. Also, have you been to Asia? Spending a month backpacking through Asia is a great way to get a new perspective on life, now as you enter your forties. Maybe you could take a hiatus from work, or some type of sabbatical. Just a thought.
