  • @SpogMosse that's four people that typed in coolness cuz I did that

  • this looks fake

  • You cannot grasp the true form of Giyga's Attack

  • it looks like my ex's vagina at 2:30

  • what the hell is this?!?!?! I just typed in coolness and this comes up!

  • @SogMosee Lol me too ;)

  • DO NOT PUT THE MIXTURE DIRECTLY INTO THE SPEAKER CONE. YOU COULD BE ELECTROCUTED!! Please remember to put the water-containing fluid in a non conductive container. Simply lining the speaker cone in plastic wrap should suffice. To generate a tone all you need is Audacity. It's a free wave editor program for windows and i believe it supports Mac and even Linux. This program can generate simple pure sine waves at any frequency. I found the best results are in the 10-200 Hz range.

  • It's nothing more than a 50/50 mixture of cornstarch and water. Flour can work as a substitute for cornstarch though not as well. A larger diameter speaker will produce more visible effects. Sine waves at high power can cause hearing damage because there is more energy being carried by the wave than if the wave were sawtooth or an audio track. However, for this experiment you need not exceed 70 dB, which is below the hearing damage threshold. It may be annoying, but it's safe below 90 db.

  • Damn. The last part is fuckin CREEPY.

  • Just try with songs that have low frequency sounds(bass guitars, bass drums, etc.)instead of a constant sine wave which will most probably make yours ears really weird(they tend to hurt and feel like there was a sudden change in pressure, kinda like diving too fast) before you get any results.

  • Could I do the growing finger thing with stuff i can find in my house hold, it would make a cool party trick.

  • now i have something better to do at my kitchen lol , great video

  • It's ALIVE :)

  • dude at the end were it looked like fingers looked impossible

  • It's easy to do if you have a sub-woofer, just put the container on the hole/speaker and mess around with some songs(techno and hip hop worked well for me), then stick your finger in while playing the music.

When I did it they didn't cover the whole surface but they did form on the part on top of the speaker.

  • Cornstarch

  • what??! i liked that video...i never knew cornstarch could do that :D

  • and water very important

  • que locura

  • incredible!

  • this is how energy becomes matter, notice how "cellular like" the pattern is when it vibrates? cool stuff

  • you no i did notice

  • IS ALIVEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

  • IT LIVES!!! :D

  • i like corn starch now XP

  • its a non newtonian liquid it looks like liquid but if you were to poke it very hard or hit it it would feel like a solid, also if you have enough of it you can run on it, but if you stop you will sink.

  • wow

  • wat did u do the last experiment. blow it with a straw?

  • fingers one was creepy.. looked like people were trying to come out of it o.o

  • Hint: ya'll r gay...this is cool to watch

    get over urselves

  • Hint: Ultrasonic standing waves

  • Hint: Its a dilutant meaning that if you add pressure it will act like a solid and that is what the vibrations are doing, they are adding a pressure (somewhat)

  • Hint: I already know this, you completely miss the point of my original hint.

  • IT's MUTATING !!!!!! RUUUUN !!! IT HAVE NO MERCY IT ALREADY ATE MY SISTER !!! HEEEEELP !!!!

  • thats bloddy weird

  • EEETS ALIIIIIIIVE!

  • remind me of T-2000

  • where do u get those shakers?!!?

  • Freaking crazy :D never seen that

  • but will it blend?

    I shudder at the possibilities!

  • hahaha

  • Chtulhu is here

  • alguem assistiu o filme "a bolha assassina" ?uahuiahuiahiuah!

  • dang, I was hoping a sea monster would come up out of the cornstarch at the end.

  • q carai eh isso?

  • Holy shit, that's messed up! xD

Way awesome. I would love to experiment with stuff like this sometime.

  • ITS ALIVE!!!

    *ahem*

    thats cool!

  • the end would make a great addition to a scifi series, close up ofcourse..

  • thats craazzy stuff

  • no way. Looks like a zombie movie at the end

  • This appears to have been slowed from real time. Do you know if this is fact?

  • the end is so sick but its SOO AWESOME!!!
