What an eclectic group of people and heady stuff. A bit elitist at $6000 a year membership dues to attend the conference :) Do you need someone to carry your luggage next time perhaps? :) Great stuff Tom
Thank you for the links. What an amazing collection of brilliance and innovative ideas. I find myself now with 4 paqges open and too many ways to go! Great vid
Pretty Incredible~ we'll be checking this all out, particularly the Science and Archeology themes. Thank you for this inspiring synopsis. My son might even join the website and aspires to be invited some day.
Hey Tom! Just saw 4 minutes of your video (going to work now, i watch the rest when i get home). Thanks for letting me know about Chris Jordan, quite amazing art work, brilliant! I will send an email so maybe i can use some of those photos as a background or make a video about them, that would be cool! Thanks again! Hug!
Back from work! Matt Groening draw? That's a real treasure! You're lucky!
I would love to visit TED. Did you ever heard about Maharaji's? I believe you did. I would love to watch on of his speeches even though i heard some bad stuff about him!
I guess the only time i saw Robin Williams out of a movie was at Daily Show and i loved it! Brilliant man!
Thanks for sharing! Can't wait for a new video about TED!
OMG you got a drawing from Matt Groening... *mouth drops open* I am without speech. I can't believe another TED has already come around. Where does the time go.

It was surreal watching your first hand account of things I've been reading about on Wired. :)
Not to mention it is surreal to think you talked to Matt Groening, Robin Williams, Larry Page all in the same day..

According to Wikipedia, TED has "an annual membership fee of $6,000 which includes attendance of the conference." Yikes!

How and why - That about explains it all.
The Matt Groening drawing is great, "And that's just session one..." LMAO!
More about the five great extinctions would be very interesting.
Steven Hawking! And you wait till minute 11 to mention it? Incredible.
"Carl Bernstein is a bit of a windbag" - Yeah, I needed to watch a 16 minute video to learn that?

Hah! He looks a lot more like the first-season Homer than anything else, so that's pretty awesome! Congrats!
Wow, I have nothing useful to say at ALL! ^_^

Nice recap, Tom. I met Robin Williams and his family when I worked for MGM/UA. He was very congenial. Congrats on the "Homer"!
