We had our Theatre Final yesterday--our assignment was to preform our favorite monologue (from any movie, play, show, whatever). So of course I picked this one. XD.
People please follow the mythos The Doctor is different everytime he regenerates he becomes a new person same doctor. He is still the Doctor but he's different, He's "rude and not ginger" "I love apples... apples are disgusting" he has to rediscover himself. same core new person. every doctor who is different, but every doctor who is amazing they all bring a new spin to the same character in remarkable ways, as a new whovian I prefer Matt Smith but I like ALL the doctors for their differences
The greatest moment of Matt Smith's Doctor, probably ever. It amazes me every time the way that they all fear and respect The Doctor as their enemy that nobody in that entire mosh pit of ships opens fire on him, exposed in the open like that.

god i love the eleveth doctor! the tenth never really scard me when he was angry becuase he was always angry. but i think because Matt being serious is quite uncommon, when he looses his temper it sends chills through you. love him!

Just remember that the 11th Doctor is exercising empty threats, talking as big as possible in hopes that they'll be scared off; a single missile would stop him, they all know that, but their doubt comes from their previous encounters. What the aliens failed to realize is that he kept winning because he skulked about as an underdog, carefully tricking them, which was the 10th Doctor's specialty. Smith is riding on Tennant's success.

Sure, personalities were different, but in the end, the Doctor, no matter the regeneration person, is the same guy. Any one able to tell an army of space ships, he's out numberd and out gunned and then gets them to back away is a bad ass. also I loved the looks on rory and his romans faces. wonderful scene.

:30-:34 is just soo powerful... that shows how powerful the Doctor is truly... The most feared aliens in the universe and he made them stop instantly... Great episode and just a great Doctor.. GO Matt Smith

Because the Doctor basically said it in the beginning: The Pandorica was built as a prison for the most feared being in the universe. And well...who has made so many aliens shit themselves by the mere mention of his name? Matt Smith isn´t even close to the same level as David Tennant was just as David Tennant wasn´t even close to the same level as Christopher Eccleston.
Each is on his own level each Doctor is unique in his own way as one reviewer pointed out Matt Smiths Doctor wouldn´t be nearly as epic in the same kind of adventures that david tennants Doctor had.
Matts Doctor works best when he is put in a situation much like the one he was in after he regenerated one where he is having fun despite the danger

I think the writing made the doctor mess up too many time i mean he didnt understand the enemy's purpose during the pandorica or demons run which is out of character because hes previously shown to have a half decent idea of the enemies goals, and i think the demons run "Ride higher" and "Fall lower" was extremely over exagerated hes gone far far higher and lower i mean he beat the enemy easily but they werent that large a threat it was only a few thousand humans and some monks

There have been many interpretations of the Doctor over the years depending on what director had the reigns over the series.
The last director, Russel T Davis, saw him as a lonely traveller who hides the pain of being the last of his kind with a sense of adventure and fun.
But I much prefer Steven Moffatt's interpretation. A man who has had such a profound influence on the universe and the people within it that his name alone is enough to shake empires and turn whole armies around. A legend.
This speech is Smith's "one day, I will come back" speech. whenever someone wants to show how great a Doctor Matt Smith is/was, they'll pull up this clip of the famous "He Who Takes The Pandorica" speech.
imagine what matt smith mustve felt like after shooting this scene......he prolly felt like one hell of a badass.....and the background music is amazing, series 5 and 6 have the best music by far!

How many times in life can we scream to the sky and have the heavens listen? God yes, anyone would feel fantastic even if it was just fiction.

I think that by far David tennant is the best doctor, in a close second is Tom baker, (Not trying to start any flame wars) but this is one of the best speeches in doctor who history
10 was more emotionaly when he gave a speech and that worked but with 11 there is something about the way he says words that gets the point across more clearly ...... also this Doctor is a little insane
Honestly, I think the Smith haters really haven't even been watching the show since Tennant left. I'm a huge Tenth Doctor fan, but I have to admit that he's doing a fantastic job. Actually, all in all I try to view the Doctor as one character rather than 11 individuals because technically that is the case.
You all realize is was a trap for the Doctor and *SPOILER* silence still blows up the TARDIS.

Matt Smith isn´t even close to the same level as David Tennant was just as David Tennant wasn´t even close to the same level as Christopher Eccleston.
Each is on his own level each Doctor is unique in his own way as one reviewer pointed out Matt Smiths Doctor wouldn´t be nearly as epic in the same kind of adventures that david tennants Doctor had.
Matts Doctor works best when he is put in a situation much like the one he was in after he regenerated one where he is having fun despite the danger

This.Is.AWESOME. How can I possibly have ever hated Matt Smith and said he would never beat David Tennant ???? Was I INSANE ??!! Don't get me wrong David was and always will be a fantastic doctor but the writing for Matt's episodes has been nothing short of incredible. This speech gives me shivers. Look at his hair.... God he's hot :) :)

I think the writing made the doctor mess up too many time i mean he didnt understand the enemy's purpose during the pandorica or demons run which is out of character because hes previously shown to have a half decent idea of the enemies goals, and i think the demons run "Ride higher" and "Fall lower" was extremely over exagerated hes gone far far higher and lower i mean he beat the enemy easily but they werent that large a threat it was only a few thousand humans and some monks

There have been many interpretations of the Doctor over the years depending on what director had the reigns over the series.
The last director, Russel T Davis, saw him as a lonely traveller who hides the pain of being the last of his kind with a sense of adventure and fun.
But I much prefer Steven Moffatt's interpretation. A man who has had such a profound influence on the universe and the people within it that his name alone is enough to shake empires and turn whole armies around. A legend.

How many times in life can we scream to the sky and have the heavens listen? How many times can we surround ourselves with close friends and people who don't even know us in order to change the world for the better against those who'd rip it apart? Then I saw this, and those doubts just went POOF.
(To be fair, I did miss his first episode...had I seen his warning to the Atraxi, I doubt I would've ever wondered about that.)

Honestly, I think the Smith haters really haven't even been watching the show since Tennant left. I'm a huge Tenth Doctor fan, but I have to admit that he's doing a fantastic job. Actually, all in all I try to view the Doctor as one character rather than 11 individuals because technically that is the case.
