  • The American version most certainly did not include Evil Women ,most likley because ,unlike in England , the song didn't have much ,if any following ,,If your copy opened up to a splash page , it's not American ,the American (On the Warner label )Did not open up ,and only had the pic of the farm house on cover and back , l must have had at least three copy's , and l never heard Evil Woman untill i bought a used German copy , on the Vertigo label.... Beleve me ,your wrong on this one...

  • i love u ozzy :)

  • To fucking cool..............

  • Why is the song playing in slow motion? Sounds like a 33 LP playing at 25 rpm.

  • Black sabbath la cancion black sabbath de 1969 y esta fue antes de ser incluida en el album esta grabacion fue en 1968

  • 1 man thinks that this is the first song of black sabbath

  • in the beginning there was black...and then...there was black sabbath

  • there was only one song that I can think of that even came close to this style in the early 70's It was "I am the God of hell fire " By The Crazy World of Arthur Brown

Very much along the same lines

  • was written about the first time he encountered the devil, it changed there music foreever.

  • fucking badass

  • I heard this track in an Ozzy compilation, in an extra CD. Still I think that the sound ain't so clean.

  • I can still remember my my reaction to this ground breaking track the first time i heard it ,changed my life for sure,l'd purchased a german import of the album ,and later discovered, the American edition didn't include Evil Woman, for some reason it made me feel special,as if Ozzy was personaly talking to me ,telling me his personal ,Symphany De Fantasteke type ,horror rock dream(nightmare) . Lightyears ahead of anything at at the time, except maybe early Alice , and Berlioz, u had to be there...

  • @ledrotten the American version most definitely Includes Evil Woman,

  • This was the first song I ever heard of Black Sabbath. I was 7 years old then, haha ;p Gotta love it! Now, I'm a 15 years old girl, and I still love Ozzy and his band! whoop! :D

  • @Ragnanybakk this song is my altime fav. ROCK ON!! SABBATH RULES!!

  • Oh, didn't listen to demo version before... cool thingie

  • Edit: Without Sabbath Metal, Hardcore, and Screamo wouldn't exist. Fuck new Music

  • Without sabbath Metal, Hardcore, and even some "Screamo." Fuck new music

  • The first album was recorded in October 1969... Hard to believe the 60s yielded such noise... Fabulous music!

  • an thus it began

  • satan's sittin there, he's smiling

  • why is the logo of Warner Bros and no Vertigo?

  • @milizia67 i think the picture is from the cd, wich came out later

  • anyone who thinks they listen to metal but doesn't listen to black sabbath is a fucking moron and a disgrace

  • @Downfall8900 ...lol.thats so true.i love how u call them a disgrace,,so funny ,but true

  • This is not the First Recording, they first recorded Wicked World, and after that Black Sabbath.

  • i love this song and it seems to be hard to find. thank you for the upload.

  • 11 11 11

  • My favorite song for years n years ,still gives me chills ,I always thought of it as a precurser to" after forever" ,the song I mean ,both sides of the coin you know...the yin an the yang of it all ,ya know , from one extreme to the othe ,r in all they're macabre beauty , Sabbath Rules ,excelsior....

  • dont understand why elton john is being compared to ozzy but even tho i lik elton john i do prefer black sabbath even tho rush are my favorite

  • 337nocar. At least i have got a car, it's a vectra on a P plate so there, and for your information my mother died before i was born too so i have my own place and it's very cosy. Admittedly it could do with a lick of paint but most of my Elton John posters have been put up with cellotape and i don't want to disturb them. PS what is a douchebeg?

  • @zanado666 parden my curiosity but how did your mother die before you were born. if she did that means that you wouldn't have been born because she wasn't alive to give birth?

  • @zanado666 If your mother died before you were born you would be dead too, retard.

  • Did someone really compare Elton John to Ozzy? Really....

  • I like the vibrato bass at the end in the official recording.

Sounds like the world is ending.

  • God said cut off the fingertips of the chosen one, let he hath play guitar and Let There Be Metal!!!

  • If I had 1 album to listen for the rest of my life,,this is it..Black Sabbath has shown this planet that they will be around for eternity..I couldn't imagine life with Black Sabbath..

  • This riff still scares the shit out of me.

  • Eltons dad could have ossie osborns dad, and i reckon our robbies dad could too so there you poo poo wee wee faces. :-P

  • SERIOUSLY """FUCK"""" ELTON JOHN

  • Those 3 notes started metal.

  • A very good form to start the Metal

  • The first 6:66 of Metal!

  • Just wish Robbie Williams was around at the outset of Black Sabbbaths career as they could have learnt so much from him. I think Elton John was but obviously Black Sabbath thought they could do it alone. Shame!

  • @zanado666 You're a fairy. I doubt you'd wear boots though, douche.

  • Elton Johns hair is better too and robbie williams is a better dancer.

  • This song would sound so much better if someone like Elton John or Robbie Williams sang it instead of these silly people who can't play instruments and sing properly

  • @zanado666 Sure. Whatever you say.

  • Comment removed

  • @zanado666 Fuck Elton John! Ozzy had an awesome voice!

  • @zanado666 What a troll. You're just some douchebag who acts gay on Youtube just to piss people off. Do you think you're the 1st one to do that? Get some friends dude and leave your moms house for once.

  • i love the picture!! BLACK SABBATH 4ever

  • their always got the best riffs!

  • i cant get enough of the sabbath

  • Comment removed

  • too many kids commenting on music that was put out before their parents were even born. stick to korn or whatever, fuckin' jagoffs

  • @siriusjs you got that soo right !

  • Comment removed

  • go outside collect money for an lp player and buy Sabbath and Zeppelin, floyd and kiss, Lps and listen to the charm of these LPs and not for HD Quality .

    PERIOD.

  • This live on the John Peel Sunday show. this is not the first recording its live 1970 their set was Walpurgis this extended verison of Black Sabbath/ Fairies Wear Boots and behind the wall of sleep with a small jam at end. OK not and early demo just live

  • This live on the John Peel Sunday show. this is not the first recording its live 1970 their set was Walpurgis this extended verison of Black Sabbath/ Fairies Wear Boots and behind the wall of sleep with a small jam at end

  • This is easily THE most ground-breaking song ever recorded. This song is the Genesis of Metal:

In the beginning, Black Sabbath created metal.

  • @SonicThunderBYG I m with you

  • @SonicThunderBYG Yep. They took a step away from pure blues into a harmonic minor key and you have metal :). Certainly the first of its kind in rock.

  • @SonicThunderBYG it should be: In the beginning, Black Sabbath said "What is this, that stands before me? Figure in Black, that points at me."

  • @SonicThunderBYG and then created metal

  • I was not a Sabbath fan as it was about 10 years b4 my time (i was digging the 78, 79, 80 stuff) but to understand that these guys started the whole dark rock thing makes you appreciate how innovative they were THEN. That's the key to appreciating what they did. Sure, Hendrix used distortion and played loud. It wasn't dark. That was the main difference. Heavy, dark, massive, brooding, cultic, scary, etc. And as far as I know, Iomi's sound was the most bad ass (dbl coil vs single etc).

  • @TruthSurge Think of Hendrix... single coil. Page... ok, dbl coil but very thin and semi-distorted. Clapton, Beck, I mean, they all used single coils but Iomi used a Gibson SG I think. Fat.

  • @TruthSurge Page used a single coil tele and then a strat on like the first 2 albums, so your point is even more valid. . . But Clapton played an SG on the classic Cream stuff with humbuckers. I see what you mean though, and I never thought of it before. Thank you for pointing out this interesting observation.

  • @buddyhimself Sure, the Cream sound was thick too. But then Clapton switched to the strat and went all slowhand. heheh blues. I like both sounds but for rock, the double coil is great. Yeah, yeah, Malmsteen has a kick ass single coil sound but he's an exception I'd say.

  • Curious about this weird cover, I pulled the sleeve out from between freshly-cut cellophane but was totally unprotected from the monsters inside even as a 20 year old United States Army Basic Trainee (chosen VIETNAM one) and eased the vinyl loose. Handle by the edges; you can hurt the grooves... drop it easy on the turntable at the USO, something new to listen to whiling away an hour waiting to take the bus home for Christmas, 1970... OH NO PLEASEHELPGODPLEASEHELPMENO!! but know what? He did!

  • This is where metal STARTED!!!

  • @scorpio11764 its been 3 weeks now ..i havent died yet!!! i think your on drugs...get a life morron!!!!

  • The first is still the best. Thats all I can say. The sound that started it all... After this song was wrote I wonder if they realized what monster they had created? And what it would turn in to? What it has become? And what would soon be unleashed upon the world? its so badass. THANK YOU SABBATH

  • THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL,steps of a giagantic monster riffs, the song that started it all, no words to describe this

  • I just ordered on amazon the sabbath 1st album deluxe edition.Seems really cool.Extra CD included with outtakes, instrumentals, etc.Booklet inside showing behind the castle of the album cover, under the disk is rare paperwork from the recordings.Someone on youtube put a video showing the set,it is so cool.Anyone have it? what do you think?

  • I don't know about anybody else, I get real fucking tired of these little kids debating about which band is better. Quit comparing Zeppelin to Sabbath shit heads. Realize that there are more pioneering bands out there that contributed to rock and roll as a whole. Then go fuck yourselves......

  • Today's death metal bands try, but fail to capture the creepy effect of old Sabbath, this being a great example. I don't care how loudly you scream, it doesn't make it more "hardcore" than this.

  • I think you can't really say who was or who were the first metals bands. It evolved out of mostly all the music from the 60's and 70's. All i can say is that Deep Purple, Led Zep, Sabbath and Blue Öyster Cult were the first popular bands to play real heavy!

  • All you wankers debating which band is better or whatever just don't get it, and from some of the comments I read below, you will never get it. Someone mentioned kids? sounds like a bunch of kids are commenting on stuff they know nothing about. This is a unique, early recording of a classic sabbath song with extra verses, that you won't hear anywhere else. Well done Mr fluffykok

  • how about we all just fuckin chill and just listen to some music. Look if you don't like sabbath, alright dude more power to ya, go listen to something else what are you doin' here? No one's stopping you from leaving and no one's asking for your opinion on them any man, relax. Now let's just all cool down and listen to some tunes.

  • this is from the basement tapes... awesomest!!!!

  • I cut my teeth on this old shit and it still sounds as fresh today as it did way back then. In fact it beats the shit out of modern metal. Guess being an old fart I'm just bias. :)

  • @dirtydonki no classic rock kills all

  • it took balls to write and publish this song durinng the beatles hayday, but i thank J.M.O crused the beatle then he ate the motherfucker! long live the oz!

  • good God....the guy from the photo looks like Dracula and the building in the backround looks like his castle in Romania...i'm Romanian and i think they inspired from there....

  • I love the fuzz/distortion on the intro!

  • This isn't 40 yrs old - this is timeless.

  • @Innadivibe xD its 40 years old but that just shows how epic they were they made this with out anyones help

  • Best version I have heard !!!!

  • The greatest heavy metal song of all time PEROID!

  • @harbingerOfMetal From the GREATEST METAL ALBUM of ALL time!

  • @dirtydonki There are probably only a handful of albums, that I intentionally sit down and listen to in their entirety, This is one of them. The brooding mood this album portrays is just so uncompromising. i doubt we will ever see anything quite like it again.

  • hey can you believe this is 40 years old ?

  • ~A ton of mileage has been had with the devils tritone------the devil is awesome~

  • it was until the beatlestook drugs that their music changed. ever since bob dylan introduced them to weed. then rubber soul came out and revolver from when lennon did acid. she said she said i know what its like to be dead...very good refernce to that. but this was the first time metal ever appeared!

  • I agree I have this on vinyl. And only play it on vinyl. The louder the better. This album has survived all of my lifes moves. I cant part with it

  • And so it began...

  • i wonder if Ozzy has lost his deep, gravely voice or if he chooses not to sing like that

  • yes very cool in G and and very slow

  • this song is played best nice n slow but with power... just like this

  • the overdriven bass sounds great especially the double time at 8:40 and notice how in Ozzys youth he actually had a baritone edge to his voice that was gone by their third album

  • Much better than the cleaned up version IMO.

  • Toni's hesitation makes it that much worse,,,,,,,this totally captures the point of their song................it's not a song but a revelation............feel it?

  • like i said the bells and the rain made it sound nicer.its a pitty that its not on this number.

  • The beginning..

  • I just got my hands on an original printed vinyl copy of this!!! Im so happy!!! I have been a Metalhead all my life and recently I decided to start collecting Vinyls and this one is my first one!!!

  • @Hagall717 your first vinyl of the first recording of the first evrr metal song a perfect choice!

  • @Hagall717

    You have good taste, sir.

  • @Hagall717 i got the volume 4 printed vinyl,its awesome

    greetings from MEXICO

  • @Hagall717 NICE 1 THAT SHOULD BE THE 1ST IN THE METAL VINYL COLLECTION!! (if there was one) I SALUTE U

  • @Hagall717 Dude how much did you pay i need to have this album on vinyl

  • I can't believe it! The all first song of heavy metal! (and doom metal)

  • OMG How Incredible!

  • if i had to complain about one thing about black sabbath, itd b that i have to get a new face every time i listen 2 an album

  • i got this music on a cd, i listen it on a cd with my dad, he tells what means (i cant understand bcuz im from brazil)

    rly creepy : /

  • hermano!!! sabbath es la ley!!

ozzy sabía cómo insultar les regímenes con la mejor de las magias, la música

    B.SABBATH POR SIEMPRE!

  • i think i understando u :DDD

    ACHO QUE TE INTIENDO

  • i totally agree with you SoCalFlyer1

  • oh btw thanks for posting, this sounds like the one they used for the album, if not better.. cheers

  • to clarify, the term heavy ( heavy metal) is usually defined by silence in between a riff, a slight pause.. not how heavy your guitar will go... my perception anyways

  • I hate that kids that put everything in terms of heaviness, like, "this is better because it's fastest and heaviest", but ok, if you want to put it in this way no problem, I'll say you: Black Sabbath IS one (if not THE) heaviest band of ALL time, do your homework, heaviness doesn't mean a shitload of growl, that's called "singing style", Black Sabbath rules, period

  • whitechapel is heavier, the acacia strain is heavier, even blessthefall is heavier

  • Yep and all three of them are gayer than Richard Simmons in a San Fransisco Bar on a Saturday night!

  • whitechapel and the acacia strain are gay???? ummm..... your a moron

  • Yes, they are very gay. Generic shitty distorted screaming crap. Sabbath could outplay those clowns any day, and they're in their 60s!

  • could black sabbath play a psyopus or brain drill or a the faceless song???? no, i dont believe so.

  • Yep you're the common stupid kid who thinks that playing as loud and fast as you can equals a good song. Nah. All your shitty music sounds the same. Deal with it. None of your bands even come close to Black Sabbath. Infact..they're light years away. I know it hurts...but we all go through tough times. Please don't cry over this. It's ok

  • well said! (applauding from a crowd)

  • tony iommi could play the solo from war pigs on them

  • kyle we DON'T WANT or expect or ever NEEDED sabbath to play anything other than BLACK SABBATH! all other bands with metal after them are BECAUSE of sabbath. open your eyes my friend, for you live in a world of idiocy, when there's so much reality you haven't realized yet! -bonne P.L.U.R.

  • i love black sabbath, im just saying everybody who listens to bands like black sabbath have closed minds and cant accept that there are soooo many bands that are more talented than black sabbath, like dimmu borgure

  • No, it's just the bands that you like don't even come close. You know why? because they all sound the same. Get it through your adolescent head. Dimmu Borgir sucks. One again, playing fast as hell and screaming does not equal good. Black Sabbath are better than every other gay band you listen to. Deal with it. It's a fact.

  • your so stupid. dimmu borgir is not fast at all, dimmu borgir changes times, does very impresive sweeps, they are veryyyyyyyyyyy technical. since when do you know anything about musical art? and why should anybody think you know what your talking about, you favorited bob marly and kiss. wow, i doubt pot smoking hippies make technical music, your stupid, get over it.

  • Very technical? Aww that's so cute. Bob Marley and KISS are good, too. Why should anyone think you know what you're talking about? You like Dimmu Borgir and metalcore. I doubt satanic fags and skinny retards make good good. You're so stupid, get over it.

  • I enjoy dimmu borgir and kiss :D haha. but still you gotta respect your roots. it if werent for sabbath, there wouldnt be any metal, we'd probly be listening to an evolved form of punk (like punkcore; PunkDown = punk breakdown). if it werent for sabbath, there wouldnt be any maiden or metallica. and in turn there would be no guns and roses or aerosmith. Meshuggah wouldnt exist if it werent for metallica! dimmu borgir is still good, but its not about the technicality, its about enjoying the music

  • Ive never even heard Dimmu Borgir :P I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy it, though. Too black-metalish for me.

I've heard the other bands and quite frankly I realllly don't like them. It's just a little irritating to see kids start saying "this band is better because they can play faster." I tend to focus on the quality of the writing and not technicality. Any guitar player can practice and sweep pick, but a handful of them can write quality and unique riffs.

  • Exactly, quality isnt about speed but the groove and cohesiveness of the instruments. dimmu borgir is not a band some people, but they are a great band. if i may suggest some of my favorite Songs:

All Shall Perish - The Day of Justice (perfect solo) and Awaken The Dreamers (amazing riff)

    Obscrua - incarnated

Meshuggah - Straws Pulled At Random

Job For a Cowboy - Entities (the solo is intense)

Gojira - The link (all of their songs are great)

The Eyes Of A Traitor - Echoes (greatest album)

  • @kyle1255 It's obvious that you know little about music. With great music technicality isn't a goal, it's a means to an end. To become great technically takes no talent. Just a lot of practice. Talent comes from creativity. Your worship of technicality reveals your total lack of musical knowledge. I've been a musician for 38 years. I guarantee I know far more about music than you could ever dream about.

  • @tbcass You can even say this about Metalcore, bands like Zao, Undying, and Prayer for Cleansing started it, but bands like Atreyu, August Burns Red, and Caliban are still around today. So, Black Sabbath did create a genre, but that doesn't make them the most creative band ever. Death Metal wouldn't be here if it weren't for bands like Black Sabbath, but Black Sabbath wouldn't be here if it weren't for bands like The Beatles and artist like Elvis.

  • @kyle1255 Of course. That's obvious and goes without saying but I was only talking about Metal. Metal, as it's defined today, started with Sabbath. They were influenced by Hard Rock and Psychedelic bands that preceded them but they took those influences and created something completely new. Sure, there are many later bands that technically have been better but for sheer creativity compared to their peers none of them beat Sabbath.

  • @kyle1255 Thrash metal, Death metal, Black metal, Doom and Gothic metal etc. all came from Sabbath. Bands like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple and a few others were influential as well but it was Sabbath that first put it all together to create what today is considered Heavy Metal. All the Bands you mention can be traced right back to Sabbath. They just took metal off in a different direction but Sabbath created something that didn't really exist before. Something completely new.

  • @tbcass And I understand, it's your generation of music, I get that, but you don't have to attack what I like, I'm sure Black Sabbath was an underground band when you listened to them too, so just because these bands are underground doesn't mean they aren't good. I personally like the sound, I like hearing complicated music, it's pleasing to my ears, and a lot of other people agree with me too.

  • @kyle1255 Actually I'm not attacking what you like as I like it too. I was disputing your claim that the newer bands were "better" because they have more technical skill. Sabbath were never considered technically great even back then. 70's bands like Deep Purple who were technically great would blow them off the stage in a cutting contest .The fact is technicality is only one small part of great music. Deep Purple and Sabbath were both great bands but for different reasons.

  • @tbcass And Cannibal Corpse is freaking stupid, they only made one good album, they're cheesy Death Metal. Just like Suicide Silence, it's cheesy and generic.

  • @tbcass But Cannibal Corpse has a sweet bass player. Black Sabbaths bass player is pretty awesome too, but I think the best bass player I've seen is the one from Brain Drill

  • @tbcass your right!!! purple and sabbath all the way...best 2 bands on the planet

  • @kyle1255 In conclusion I suggest you read some books. Learn some Rock history. Try to understand that musical is about more than technique. I don't fault you as when I was your age I would have said the same thing. I've been a musician for far longer than you've been alive and I've learned a lot in that time as to what makes a great band. It takes a lot more than mere technique. PS you say the bands you listed sound better than Sabbath. That is only opinion, not fact.

  • @tbcass You can say this about anything, Death Metal came from Heavy Metal, Heavy Metal came from Metal, that came from rock, rock came from jazz and blues, and they came from big band music, big band music came from orchestra. And again, I LOVE Black Sabbath, they influenced some of my favorite bands, such as The Acacia Strain. But Hardcore has so much more passion in it, the shows, the lyrics, the instruments, everything. And listen to The Ghost Inside-Chrono, VERY pretty, melodic music.

  • @kyle1255 m8 shit is just oozing from your mouth, you dont have a clue what your talking about. just remove your comments. what the hell are you mentioning a band as moronic as Cannibal Corpse for, growling down a mic is hardly "chilling" its just fukin anoying, death metal all sounds the same. no variation in the lyrics either (not that you can understand a word the guy is screaming) most of them are about Murder, and the most disgusting of all, Jizzing blood into a 30 day old corpses asshole.

  • @MrRavewolf If you would actually read my comments, I don't like Cannibal Corpse, I mentioned some bands and everybody assumed I liked crappy Cannibal Corpse. I even said a long time ago, that I didn't like them. And btw, Cannibal Corpses bass player is very talented, along with Black Sabbaths, and again I do like Black Sabbath.

  • passion in the shows? anyone can jump like a clown full of angst while doing the same palm mute riff over and over

  • @kyle1255 You're so goddamn stupid, kid.

    Go fucking die.

  • @kyle1255 When a musician can't create something new all they can do is practice a lot until they play what has already been done faster better in a technical way. That is fine but it doesn't make them better musicians, just better copiers. Maybe someday when you learn something you will realize that. Until then you are just a rube.

  • @tbcass I don't even listen to much metal, this was about a year ago that I said this, and yes, these bands are more talented than Black Sabbath, it's a fact, they sound better too. After the Burial is way more talented, and I like the sound better to, it's very creative, break downs are creative. And you can say that about any genre, Black Flag created Hardcore, it's still played today with great bands like Have Heart, Defeater, Bane, The Carrier, and Killing the Dream.

  • @kyle1255 First off, Black Flag didn't create hardcore. There were several other bands involved that shaped it into what it is. And you know who Black Flag emulated? Black fucking Sabbath. Just listen to the My War record. And After The Burial better than Black Sabbath? What kind of drugs are the government slipping in your water supply? Just because they can play fast means fuck all when compared to the Paranoid album. I'm only 21 years old and I'd still rather listen to this than any breakdown

  • @Hawdkoah I hate to go off topic when some killer raw sabbath is playing but Black Flag are among one of a handful of bands you could say created hardcore. Nervous Breakdown was recorded in January 1978. You can't name a band who recorded a hardcore song before this because there isn't any. Bad Brains demos are mid78, Middle Class 7" is months after this as well, Germs-Lexicon Devil if you want to include that it was also later 78.

  • @thereagauze

I realize that they helped create hardcore and I'm aware of their impact on the scene, but they weren't the only ones heading in that direction. It takes more than one band to create a scene. Bad Brains were on the other side of the country when Black Flag released their first EP. They had no way of knowing someone else was doing something similar.

  • @kyle1255 how can they be more talented? black sabbath is the creator of metal. without them there would not be any death, black, thrash, stoner, power, folk (usw,) metal or that emo music. i like cannibal corpse and they sound very powerful and brutal but black sabbath is their master and thats what the bassist of cannibal corpse said in an interview in the movie "Metal - A headbanger journey".

  • @tbcass You can also say that about Screamo. Bands like Saetia started Screamo, and there's still bands around like that, few REAL Screamo bands, but they still exist, like The # 12 Looks Like You for example. Same with Grind, Napalm Death Started it, and it's still played today with bands like Insect Warfare. Emo too, Rites of Spring is what started Emo, Emo bands like Algernon Cadwallader are still around today. And AGAIN, the same with Death Metal, Death Started it,and Aborted is still around

  • @tbcass So, all these bands started new genres that are still around today, they must be very creative.

  • @kyle1255 dude. those are sub-genres of heavy metal. sabbath started heavy metal. Sabbath played it darker. Sabbath played it heavier. Sabbath created a new sound altogether. Screamo came from an extremely aggressive form of hardcore punk. EVERY metal and punk band imitates either Sabbath or some band that imitated their sound. Alot of modern metal is played faster than it used to be. BUT even though thats the case it doesnt mean they have more talent. having more talent means more creativity.

  • @kyle1255 So have ANY of those bands started a genre that now has more subgenres in it than ANY other genre of music? and have they influenced literally thousands of bands, if not many many more? those bands created subgenres but were still following in Black Sabbath's footsteps nonetheless. The guitarists may be able to play faster and more technical stuff. but that doesnt mean much. Sabbath's riffs are repeated constantly, even though they are played faster.
