people used to migrate to find work, why migrate to uk where there are no jobs? no jobs for the british people never mind imigrants - after the 2nd world war people were encouraged to come to uk to help with british workforces to build the countrys infrastructure and labour force (when jobs were a plenty) nowadays they come get on the unemployment partly because its a freebie. if we had jobs here we could start giving people work buts its a con politicians use imigrants to start divide + conquer
