This car was a lost cause anyways! it lost 2 a stock 1989 supra turbo @ WIR (supra ran a 14.9) Beyond Redline in Green Bay tryed but failed. I think all they did is make a dyno queen that made them look bad eveytime they took it anywhere!
i mod my car and so do my friends. Never had to change the fuel lines for modifications......so sounds like a manufacturer defect to me. My buddy has highly modded rx7, never replaced and kind of fuel line, and he also tracked the car. I am not hating at all, but i am just saying, stock fuel lines on any car should never "rupture" for no reason, even if modded.
I don't know about this whole replacing a fuel line junk, but i definitely smell human error. This was probably a loose fuel line. with a 466whp i can assure you this engine has been taken out from the bay. Also, its noted that 2.0t can't handle more than 400hp on stocks or this will happen. This was really just bad modification. He can't blame anything on hyundai. He can find every excuse in the world, but you can't win with a 500hp car that was originally 210.
The car had been modified. You can tell from the dual exhaust. It is very silly to use this video to tell people not to buy a Genesis Coupe. I know there are people who cannot swallow the fact that Hyundai is making excellent cars now, especially the GC. Spreading hatred is not going to bring down Hyundai. On the other hand, this video has brought people who like the car together. So stop wasting your time and grow up.

The coupe in this video belonged to Beyond Redline who has been using it for R&D purposes. This particular car has already been pushed way beyond where it was stock. It is fortunate that we have companies like this taking the risk out of modifying by experiencing this kind of sad setback and then working out the kinks.
Regardless, this was far from stock and has nothing to do with Hyundai's quality or safety.

it was the stock fuel line they did not replace that got too hot from the turbo then melted the line.. thats how the fire started..
