my family owns a restaurant company. multiple times throughout the year we play paintball through a local paintball shop. we bring over a thousand dollars worth of business to the paintball shop, as well as getting the name of our restaurant (Marzonis/Hoss's) out to the public. we give discounts and coupons to the store owners creating repeat business. Though technically we're not "sponsored" it is a known fact that we run hand in hand. this type of relationship helps immensely.

Paintball is not mass marketing. The only way to get sponsors like that is to market products to other paintball players, which is what paintball manufacturers do, but it also happens with mainstream brands, like Rockstar and Relentless energy drinks. Another problem is the association with a sport which is essentially shooting people. NatWest bank sponsor a league in the UK. I don't know the deal, but banks won't tell everyone about their league, and this impacts other brands that might invest.

When someone sponsors a team, say a local field, when your team goes out and plays and other players ask where you got your gear you mention your local field and shops and its advertising, and in return for your advertising the field might give you special deals such as 10 dollars off paint or free field or something like that.

But everything can change, i mean, i talk to my friends about it and they think it's easy, like a walk in the park sport, but i think it's got a lot of potentional like rugby and other sports, back to the point, say, in a year, if 100 paintball players took just one of their friends to their local paintball site and they were interested and liked it, then they would start playing, and that would be an extra 100 people to tell others, but, there are thousands and thousands, meaning it can change.

Mikes got a sponsor were it counts, paint! You could buy all the best gear and never upgrade and paint is a continuos purchase. Even if you used one case of white box that is like $20 every time and you play once a weekend your looking at $1040 a year! Even more if you have to use field paint. My field paint is $120! And with my member ship it's $60! Any ways if you are looking for a sponsor get it in paint because that is were it will hit you the most financially!

Paintball is such a niche market it's almost impossible to get outside sponsors. Mike's telling the truth, no one outside of paintball really gives a shit about paintball. Sure the sport is getting more and more popular, but I highly doubt it'd ever match basketball, baseball and the like. I think paintball is one of the most expensive hobbies in the world (especially cost of paint...)

So if the paintball team could have sponsorship from a certain enterprise, by potentially increasing that enterprise's visualization, it would be cool! :D What I mean is, if you use the name and contacts of an enterprise in the chest area of your team's paintball shirt you get a certain support, in your right shoulder another kind of support, in the paintball team's site, etc.

Just like in F1 Racing! Different parts, different supports! XD Would be cool!
