yeah that's what i thought at first too, but i did it his way for a good majority of the game and found that i had more ammo than if i had done it my way (which is to find a good spot and be patient, kill everyone). the idea is to conserve the ammo that you do have, because more often than not, when you try and kill everyone, you'll end up with less ammo than what you started out with (but you'll have more money)

Damn. It looks like you've got to have a lot of shotgun ammo to get through this chapter. I only have twelve shells left after that blind slasher dude. And I'm playing professional. Do I stand a chance in hell?

yeah just save as much ammo as you can and if you have enough flash grenades have enough rifle bullets and a rifle of course then you'll be fine
