  • all those screaming young girls at the rolling stones are in their late 50s to mid 60s today. one may be your grandmother! lol

Mick spoke with Andrew to change the stop sign and JB close the program but the producers refused. JB did a spectacular show as always, but the Stones were no less .. At the end of the show was to greet alos JB Stones.

    Saludos desde Argentina.

  • At 8:10 that has to be a time traveler. Pretty long hair for early 1964.

  • 11:34!

  • Um yes can you guys go backstage and bring back James Brown again please?

  • Excellent. Could it be 45 years ago?

  • where the hell is Bill standing?

  • @denfnharsh Off to Brian's right, I had to look to Lol!

  • wow jonesy is toasted here...can see why he would be dead in 3 years after this

  • keith is having so much fun, it's awesome.

  • at 10:44 Mick didn't "use to love her" ----he "used to 'fuck' her" as one can plainly see him sing at that point-even then they were the bad boys!

  • Thank you SO much for posting this extraordinary performance by the Stones. Yes, we were really THAT young at one time...!

  • where's bill wyman?

  • To bizzarma the tnt show was the 2nd filmed concert,by the same people that made the tami show. If you watch that was rock the tami show with chuck berry, its a mixture of the tami and tnt shows. The tnt show had bo diddley, the ronettes ike and tina turner and others.

  • @mic187x2 wow thanks for clearing that up I was wondering why I didn't remember some of those acts as i was only at the second nite of tami how'd you get so knowledgeable?

  • To bizzarmaThanks for those emaiils on this performance. Did you go to the TNT show

  • @mic187x2 dont even know what the tnt show is

  • @bizzarma Pretty much the same thing, but with different letters.

  • Although James Brown stole the show, Mick did a great job holding his own. Nobody ever saw a white boy move like that, much less an Englishman. Such a treasure to see Brian strumming his white teardrop Vox. Thanx for the upload.

  • heymic187 MY view is that if the Stones didn't want to follow JB then they could have easily changed the format for the second night, the one I attended, and the one that was filmed. I am so glad they didn't go home and if you asked me then I would say the Stones were the best But now after watching the edited video JB is clearly smoking everyone off the stage

  • for some reason I' m having trouble posting a reply so if anyone wants the whole story of the tami show , e mail me at wildwood04@charter.net For one thing, JB 's performance was stopped several times by the director shouting "CUT!" No one would have heard them if they tried to do it while the Stones were playing.

  • which member is brian jones?

  • @porn1978 the one with the white guitar.to mick's right.

  • @Krose333 thanks!

  • I meant 10:44 not !0:44 oops..........I was at this show and it was The Stones and James Browns best night . Compared to these two GIANTS of the industry the Beach Boys, The Supremes, and all the other great bands were just filler. When I got my twelve year old ass home at three am that night, my ma gave me hell. It was worth it though because I knew that I had just witnessed the past present and future of rock n roll Best concert ever;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

  • @bizzarma interesting you were there. what about the story that is constantly told. paricularly by bob slade of wrks fm in ny. the story being that keith richards didn't want to follow the amazing performance of james brown and the famous flames. but mick jagger insisted and this was one of their bggest disagreements. i actually felt sorry for mick jagger with his non dancing self, i agree with keith they should've went home.

  • @mic187x2 I posted a response to you separate from the reply because I was having trouble with that thanks for your inquiry

  • at !0:44 of this video it seems Mick has changed the lyric am I right? Can I claim to be the first to spot this? Well?????? Do I get a prize?

  • 04:00 Happy Charlie ! He is our darling !

  • Thanks for uploading this, what great quality!

Saludos.

  • This is my personal favorite performance ever caught on film of the original Rolling Stones. I know they had to follow James Brown, but to me they totally rose to the occasion. James Brown's performance was a little over dramatic for my taste.

  • Just reading kieth's book. Lovely to be able to reference this on my iphone. Kool!

  • They couldn't quite top James Brown, but they gave him a run for his money. I don't think I've seen Stones perform better than this.

  • Amazing performance ... especially since they supposedly had to follow James Brown! Thanks for posting
