nerds concieved, designed, built and manage the world duuuuuuuuuuuuude. you're just a consumer.....like a sheep.

Nerds run you like a pimp runs a whore.

  • So that's what all those flat graphs on graph paper we do in functions and relations are of. There just projections of points from a sphere. That's why pi is in all the equations. IT's just a bloody CIRCLE is all. Why didn't my math teacher tell me that. Goddamit I'm pissed.

  • Maybe some sound or explanation would help. Because I don't get it.

  • I guess I get it...

  • but of course the real projective plane is a mobius

strip to whose boundary we have attached a disk.

You cannot embed it in R^3.

  • this is known as squareing the circle , in the occult , IE masons it means we keep going around and around in or lives living them over and over look at 0;31 youll see the x box 360 logo i have studied the masons for 12 yrs , bmw uses two opposing cones at 1:31 for thier logo ,and the pope has the same logo on his head dress Miter, the masons own this planet and thier claim to fame is the secret knowledge of the universe from the 12th century this line that loops is called the masonic circle

  • Quiet, you barbarian.

  • @tohuvohu2

I can't read this shit without telling you to fuck off. My advice to you is don't make ''occult'' references on mathematics videos. You are barking up the wrong tree trying to convince anyone interested in maths that your mumbo jumbo shite is anything other than laughable at best and more likely completely boring.

Men study mathematics because they are interested in the actual truth. You clearly know zero about mathematics. Now Piss off, you half witted moron.

  • @tohuvohu2

This is not know as ''squaring the circle'' you moron. This is known as conic sections. You clearly know nothing about mathematics. Please keep your gobbledegook, clap-trap, mumbo jumbo to yourself.

  • ingenios

  • The video would have been much better if it had been accompanied by a vocal commentary.

  • Its like the star transforms into the light cone?...maybe

  • Got'a Love Mathematical Images

  • i just noticed that if you have the video paused and you're reading the description, the image appears to expand in your peripheral. (I paused at :57)

  • omg it dose

  • es una hiperbole de una hoja o una conica en 3 dimensiones... im lost...

  • the real projective plane is a compact manifold constructed from R^3-{0} by thinking of a line

through the origin as a single point, lets call this projection T. In this animation we are thinking of them as two antipodal points on a sphere.

Then we see what happens to two parallel lines under T: they become two great circles.

How about a hyperbola? it's mapped to an ellipse.

  • After a year studying math, R3 and even logics and more interesting stuff like topology. Well tell you the truth Im still lost. Hehhehe Im sorry I keep more attention to it. My question is more confusing not because is in spanish, rather more than a thought than a question. Or in other words I was thinking and typing at the same time. Well... let me watch the video again...

  • haha, well math is hard :) keep at it.

  • Good visual of those conic sections

  • Glad you like it. It was made by my colleague Oliver Labs, so you might like his other videos too. Search for "OliverLabs" on YouTube.

  • oo yay we just studied conics in math!
