I don't understand why so many pubs have their TV's setup wrong! Are the engineers passing the buck or something?

You had the loosing weight report when the aspect ratio was on 4:3 hahaha:):)

Shame the Sky EPG doesn't show in 16:9

16:9 wide setting gives better results with more of the picture to be seen even on 4:3 tv's!

Yeah, it is about losing weight, HAHA! Unfortunately, any contrast settings that are applied only affect what you view, and not what you record. Frustrating stuff, but hopefully the text is clear enough to read.

Is the capture card crappy becuase you get better ones on other videos that have something to do with Sky TV
The card takes RF input and Composite video. The contrast/brightness is the same on both.
Are you using an older WinTV card, as the contrast/brightness was a nightmare on my old WinTV-USB, but looks great on my new WinTV HVR-1300.

I reckon it's an older card. Even the FM function is a bit naff - it keeps creating popping noises.
