As a proud owner of XL883R myself , I only says , " HD XL883R probably the best bike in the world " , no offence and I didn't say other model or other makes aren't good , it just my opinion that XL 883 is the best bike i ever ridden in my life ! click on my profile to see my video , Cheer !

More seriously, I think there is no such "best bike". We are all different and like different things.

Some prefer sportbikes, some prefer cruiser and customs, others prefer trails, others prefer big GT (Goldwing). And... some prefer 500cm3 scooters ;-) (And they would tell you "this is the best 2-wheels vehicle")

@LinkBulletBill Point well taken, I do agree that there is a limit as to how loud the pipes are. Exhaust with no baffles is too loud and inconsiderate. Ride safe and have fun.

I only ask because my 06 xl883c has 21.000 and the motor sounds just like yours...............I ve found that 04 onward motors do sound much louder than early sportster motors............ thanx for writing back wayne
