it's a shame when you think that shitty shows now get a season 5 or 6, and really good ones didn't even survive for a second season.

Robert Wertheimer created this to be a mini-series, as he put it "a 20-hour movie", with the option of continuing the story in a second mini-series with perhaps less episodes or what have you. They only got green-lit for the episodes in existence. After it aired there was no order for more...If my memory serves me correctly this was a US-Canadian-South African co-production... A great, great show, which I enjoyed tremedously. I'm still waiting for a freaking DVD set for North America...

Nobody watched it, because it wasn't an American television series. It's completely irrational but, at least here in Canada, American television shows always get picked over Canadian television shows. This is a tragic example of a great Canadian television series being passed over because of that attitude. Canadians need to support Canadian television!

@sweiland75 I watched it all, and thought it was awesome. I live in America and to be honest a lot of the TV is horrible. I subscribe to channels like BBC on satellite just so I can watch some decent TV.

@RaNdOsMaShEr i have no idea why people dont know about this show charlie jade is one of the best shows i have ever seen maybe all it will take is for some geeks to see a metion about it on some show like the big bang theory or for someone like J.J. Abrams to metion it and then all the geeks and others who pretend to be cool will watch it and then they will act like some how they are in some in crowd like how they do with firefly and twin peaks which i think suck

It's been out on DVD in Australia for a while too. Aussie retailers like JBHiFi and EzyDVD carry it.

Totally agree! Best SciFi movie ever! Actually ... I think it's one of the best movies, not necessarily sci-fi!

Really good series.
Hope this one day makes it to DVD in North America. I find it funny being it a Canadian/Cape Town production you can't buy it on DVD here in Canada.
This is why some people are d/l tv shows is because it does not exsist in any other format, except in Japan.
