Burke left Christina at the alter. I think she really did love him but she was never ready to get married. That's not who she is. In the end, burke was forcing her to be someone she wasn't. I think that's what she meant. Hoped I helped!! :)

Her character puts off a front of not liking being attached to anyone, but in all honesty that's what she wanted with the guy she's talking about. The freedom she's referring to is being without him. so its kind of a good thing (she's free to live how she wants) but its a bad thing because she doesn't want that. if that makes sense

if you don't mind me elaborating on that...she was so used to being with him. she helped build him up (especially when he had this hand tremor), left her place to live with him. She kinda left part of her life and some of who she was to be with him (including having a big wedding and white dress--which she initially objected to). All in all, now she has to start living her own life again because she's free to do so. But she's probably like 'dang I did all this for him and now he leaves me?'
