It sure does. :) I can't wait until Spring arrives because honestly I'm getting really depressed with all the cold winter weather. It will be nice when it warms up and the snow finally melts. :)

The thing is, with university classes,I got so caught up with homework and studying that I kind of put off the peace stuff. I plan on joining a volunteer team this semester at university so hopefully I'll be able to get involved in some sort of peace thing through that.Maybe not likely, but there's a chance. :)

On most university campuses there are activist groups of all sorts. It's always a challenge fitting into a schedule any activity that doesn't directly relate to studying, but I'm sure there will be like-minded people there when you find the time. Good effort!

Unfortunately I'm in college right now and still have quite a few years to go before getting a degree. I'm planning to go into philosophy. I want to put my education first. I remember there was a gathering in Toronto this past August and I didn't go because I couldn't afford to go to both college and the gathering. The cost of my classes was about the same amount as the plane ticket to Toronto.

How about something on youtube to help spread the message of peace? The use of vlogging has really become widespread on youtube and it might be a good thing to use it for a medium to talk to other people around the world. People could make video blogs discussing their ideas for how to make the world a better, more peaceful place. Or, maybe even create a group on youtube called people for peace. Do you think either one of those ideas might be helpful? :)

I think that youtube is a powerful tool & yeah these ideas are great. This is why we decided to create this channel, we have yet to use it the way it's meant to be used (with us talking) but I guess we are still a little scared about putting ourselves on youtube

with that being said, we don't want to get stuck making great videos, we believe in the internet as a tool to get us what we need in the real world. so the goal has to take us out in to the real world... did that make any sense?

Yeah, getting out into the real world makes a lot of sense. It's the only way that any real progress is made, right? :) Granted, making these kinds of vlogs can also help to inspire other people to think about peace and organize their own peace movements in the world. But, I see your point in how it's best if people get out into the real world and spread the message of peace that way. :)

Unfortunately, I haven't been doing much lately in the way of peace. This summer, or what's left of it, I'm going to be getting prepared for university in the fall. But, maybe there will be some sort of groups at the university I could think of joining, but I think I'm going to try to focus on my studies for the most part.

I think evolution has peace in store and that it is somehow wrapped deeped within the human genome. Violence is destroying the earth. Peacemakers are preserving it. I think nature favors peacemakers.

Perhaps. Whether nature favors it or not though doesn't really seem to help change people's minds as far as taking action towards peace. I've found by talking to some friends of mine in the past that it seems not that people don't want peace, but it's more that people don't believe they can make a difference in the world. When the Iraq war was about to start my friends would mention the peace marches in conversations but didn't believe they could make a difference. Kind of a shame really.

You are right about people feeling that they can not make a difference. The media sometimes clouds the seriousness of an issue by using other issues to distract us. At least we can hope that nature has evolved something akin to a peacemaking gene in humans.
