  • This guy is confusing a starch addiction for a gluten intolerance. Celiacs disease is *RARE* only 1% of 1% of the worlds population has it. The Major symptom is the inability to gain weight. I'm sick of all the fatty's out there blaming their food addiction on one of the best super foods available to man.

  • Hi I am 13 and I found put I had a gluten intolerance when I was 4 years old and sometimes I just wish that I never had a gluten intolerance

  • I recently heard on the View show on TV that because our wheat is genetically altered (for profit of course), and have 60% more Gluten in it then the same grain anywhere else in the world.

  • I think I better start to find out if I have gluten intolerance. I started eating Cheerios cereal again and everyday that I eat at least a bowl of the stuff my bowels run like water fountain almost all day (sorry I know thats gross). Now for several years I have had wyly bowels waste like frothy floating type. I go to the bathroom more than once per day.

  • @drpersall - You are describing my condition exactly. I used to LOVE baking breads, grains, potatoes and carbs in general. This has earned me a constant bowel diarrhea, pre-diabetes, low energy, overweight, psoriasis and eczema. I have completely transitioned to Paleo like diet (still eat little beans and yams) and year later every condition has reversed. I am completely healthy now and can walk by bakery case and it does not speak to me any more.

  • @oneyaker Yay ! I am starting the diet and i appreciate the stories like yours. 20 years of joint pain, gastro, and now bloating, can't wait to see how this works !

  • @phnixlady I have not mentioned that I also added some vigorous Paleo workouts and I feel and look 20 years younger. The hunger for carbs is pure addiction that is reversible but the body must be well nourished and worked out for it to work ! IMO current brainwashed society is overdoing it with carbs and virtually every inflammatory disease is the result of it. Once you heal your body through diet and exercise alone and really internalize it, you will see how insane western diet really is.

  • potato is Gluten free. Do Not mislead people please

  • I've been told recently that mash potato for example, if mashed too much can glutanise.

  • @aimeethemoomin explain how that works

  • wait! aren't potatoes gluten free???

  • @LSecret Baking potatoes have an extremely high glycemic index. This guy could have very well been experiencing pre-diabetic symptoms since all types of carbs cause diabetes. I am finally quitting potatoes and gluten myself and limiting my daily carbohydrate intake to 70grams, on the advice of a doctor who has a video on here about that subject.

  • I have some well most of the symptoms of celiac disease... Is there a difference between being gluten sensitive and celiac? I recently was on a low carb diet, would it be considered gluten free to go back to my low carb diet? If anyone can help me PLEASE let me know. I will mention this to my doctor but in the meantime I was just curious as to how to go about trying to be gluten free for a while as a sort of test.

  • Low carb is not necessarily gluten free. GF also includes barley, malt, rye...lot's more than just wheat..

  • Thanks!

  • @aretz28 You can get lists of food that are gluten free from most grocery stores and info from the manufacturers. A low carb diet has nothing in common with a gluten free diet. Gluten is present in some of the least obvious foods.

  • Thank you.

    I'll give it a try.

  • I love bread! I can 15 slices with peanut butter and jam on them without any problem.

  • Wow! I never thought cravings for food as a sign for an addiction before. It's incredible how the food this man was eating impacted him!
