  • Hell, mine failed after only 13 months... since the docs said it had a 12 month warranty, I assumed i was just screwed. What really ticks me is that there's a notice on the bottom of the laptop that said it has a 2 year warranty, something they did not bother to indicate when I contacted asus about it.

NEVER buying another asus product. EVER.

  • @IAmTDurden Good advice! Asus and Nvidia are both worthless companies that don't care about their customers. I'd recommend checking out Apple, Hp, and Dell.. they took care of those affected by this crappy video card.

  • My video card just died today, and does the very same thing as this one in the video? Is there a fix for it or it's really at the it's end?

  • @Potencialiscsimbi Some people have gotten lucky baking their video card in the oven (see other videos), but your laptop is likely at the end of it's life prematurely thanks to nvidia!

  • everyone has had this problem with asus laptops. mines doing it as well. thought I purchased a product that wouldn't suck.

  • I have the 8600 M Gs and it failed 2day

  • I have the same problem , a 9300m g has failed like yours and tried to fix it and it cannot be done. I'm wondering if they stupid people knew that they fitted weak silicon on that bloody gpus . first had errors of windows then the stability went south, the strange bars and colors appeared , the screen split in 6 with same bars and colours and finally the gpu died , now the display wont light itself up

  • I have the same problem in my Sony vaio Fz-21s it have too the Nvidia 8600m, it's 4 years old only, that a fuckkk !!!!!!!

  • My Asus G2s have the same problem. I bought it on Newegg.com about two years ago, and I really don't know what to do now.

  • @Danuvies I bought it from NewEgg as well... Its too bad that ASUS is stating they have no responsibility... Even though Apple, HP, and Dell are willing to take care of their customers. Definitely the *last* ASUS laptop I will ever buy. They don't value repeat customers.

  • @marlboro03 You most likely had a faulty video card as well. It's too bad Asus won't take responsibility like the other manufacturers.
