The T70 has been my favourite car for more than 40 years and would give my back teeth for a ride in one. This is an excellent video especially when the sound is turned up. As for the comments about an auto box, the gear lever is on the right hand side.
the engine in these cars it at the rear and the gearbox even further to the back. There fore the gear changing shaft has to run on the side of the engine to reach the gearbox. So if it is a RHD the gear change is to the right, if a LHD, the gear change is to the left hand. I the Lola T70 (RHD) the gear change is on the right hand (not visible on the video)
@aerowerks I'll stand my previous comment. Racing cars don't have auto boxes if they want to win races, otherwise all cars would have them. The Chaperral, which I've never heard of, may have had them but I doubt they won many races. F1 cars inthe 80's and 90's and today, have semi-automatic gearboxes which are not full automatic gearboxes. Auto boxes are banned.
@375GTB I thought this course seemed a little short, I always thought Nurburgring was a huge road course like Le Mans that snaked around the mountains
@fredericia01 Agreed. Although I have to say a pumped flat6 is also veeeeeery sexy. Very. I'd go for the V8 as well, soundwise. Balancewise to drive it, I would always prefer a Porsche. Ahwell, my office walls seem to fade away ;-)

@J2MSaigon Ah thank you, makes sense, but kinda the exact opposite of what most cars is, as far as the RHD and LHD configurations.

@mike548
Sort of confusing but back then right hand gearshift was normal, except in saloon cars.

Amazing - favorite cars the T70!! you should use a chasecam for your filming - would give a much smoother, better quality image - like it deserves!!

is this the race car used at the end of the film'THX 1138'?

They used Lola t70 MkIII's in the movie. So since this is a t70 it's at least very close.
