  • The T70 has been my favourite car for more than 40 years and would give my back teeth for a ride in one. This is an excellent video especially when the sound is turned up. As for the comments about an auto box, the gear lever is on the right hand side.

  • that is the bitchenest sound and car ever.

always like T-70 lola's. they were simple reliable and nice looking.

I could drive around that treack for hrs on end and never get tired of that good ol chevy V-8 rumbling away.

    that is sooo totalllly hot.

  • never heard of a Chaparral?

  • that thing is music to the ears

  • @mike548

the engine in these cars it at the rear and the gearbox even further to the back. There fore the gear changing shaft has to run on the side of the engine to reach the gearbox. So if it is a RHD the gear change is to the right, if a LHD, the gear change is to the left hand. I the Lola T70 (RHD) the gear change is on the right hand (not visible on the video)

  • @J2MSaigon Ah thank you, makes sense, but kinda the exact opposite of what most cars is, as far as the RHD and LHD configurations.

  • @mike548

Sort of confusing but back then right hand gearshift was normal, except in saloon cars.

  • @mike548 why don't you plant your face in camel dung and do us all a favour!

  • @dunnodekong aren't you too old to be on the internet?

  • @mike548

You are a retard, no full on racing car has an auto box, go and watch videos on how A4 paper is recycled you chuffin muppet.

  • @MrDemontrigger At least i'm not a 34 year old loser

  • @MrDemontrigger Jim Hall's Chaparrals had them, so did F1's in the late 80's and early 90's

  • @aerowerks I'll stand my previous comment. Racing cars don't have auto boxes if they want to win races, otherwise all cars would have them. The Chaperral, which I've never heard of, may have had them but I doubt they won many races. F1 cars inthe 80's and 90's and today, have semi-automatic gearboxes which are not full automatic gearboxes. Auto boxes are banned.

  • awesome video thanks! i never knew of the Lola until i was just browsing the Japanese Tamiya website

  • chevy engine yes, no, maybe?

  • @zman6033 yep a chevy v8, very unreliable

  • @LeBorisPebble yep so unreliable that lots of people use them to win races

  • @zman6033 oh yeah they won races with this engine, but it wasn't a good engine compared to others of its time.

  • @LeBorisPebble

    what are you talking about?

  • @Whitewolf1949 How it wasnt a very strong engine compared to others

  • This short course does not count!!

Only the the full "Ring" counts.....

    The "Nordschlieffe"

    jcarroll330P4@

  • @375GTB I thought this course seemed a little short, I always thought Nurburgring was a huge road course like Le Mans that snaked around the mountains

  • Nice noise, but seemingly unable to catch the porsche in front of him,

    strange, uh ?

  • yeah i thought that wierd ?? brilliant sound tho .j.

  • lol stig1138 i thought same thing, was excited to see this on the green hell :P

  • There´s nothing, and I mean nothing that sounds like a hard pumped american V8.

    Great video.

  • aston martin v12 is so much better

  • you mean the one made from two ford v6's?

  • i do

  • @fredericia01 Agreed. Although I have to say a pumped flat6 is also veeeeeery sexy. Very. I'd go for the V8 as well, soundwise. Balancewise to drive it, I would always prefer a Porsche. Ahwell, my office walls seem to fade away ;-)

  • @fredericia01 pfffffffffft okay

  • @fredericia01 Apart from a merlin v12

  • well done love it.

  • Ah, if only this track was the old Nurburgring. (Nordschleife)

  • Magnificent!

  • Amazing - favorite cars the T70!! you should use a chasecam for your filming - would give a much smoother, better quality image - like it deserves!!

  • is this the race car used at the end of the film'THX 1138'?

  • They used Lola t70 MkIII's in the movie. So since this is a t70 it's at least very close.

  • Yes, slightly modified in the rear end body work

  • That's the way I like it! Bringing back sweet memories of Spa 6 hrs . . . This october i'll be there again.
