This is really sad, obviously running from police is a bad idea, because it gives them probable cause to chase and arrest you, even if you were just running because you were scared or something. However even if he was running, at the point where they caught up to him, he was no longer running, they made no attempt to verbally order him to submit, and a lot less force could have been used. I'm really thinking that police need to all be forced to learn jiu jitsu.

In that shot he was not running. He might have known something was going on, and seen these cops sprinting in his direction and thought 'best I get out of their way' - reasonable? I think the running think is a sick joke to cover up or at least lessen the mistake that was made. What a disgusting bunch of cowards that defend that action.
