  • So beautiful anthem ... So emotional...

  • Iranian sportsman - be a man! Shake the hand!

  • LMAO - you idiots ranting against the Iranian have to realize he didn't do it for personal reasons, its all political and if he had shook the Israeli, SORRY, I MEAN THE BRAZILIAN representing israel's hand, he would have been in a lot of trouble. so kindly, SYA.... u need a Brazilian to do your bidding.

  • Notice that the iranian is staring at the floor nearly the entire time. This is because of shame. He knows that they will eventually start shaking hands, but that he is not allowed to do that with the Israeli.

So before anyone blame the Iranian, know that the majority do not dislike Israelis. It is only required from our soon-to-be-gone regime.

  • 10 people are iranian

  • Did you notice the creep from Iran wouldn't shake the Israeli's hand?

  • Congratulations Sergio ! It's a very great zjut for you, your contry and all your people!

  • Comment removed

  • Lol at the Iranian guy running away from the stage right after the anthem is over.

I believe most Iranians are not like this, though, and would rather topple their government.

  • fuck the apartheid state!

  • The Iranian guy didn't shake the Israeli's hand not because of personal reasons by because that is what his government expects him to do.

  • almost a miracle, Israel between Iran and Germany. How did the Israeli athlete feel? What crossed his mind?. Was the Iranian athlete scared or was it contempt? I am not sure. Then listen to the Hatikva and remain silent, indeed silent, almost in awe.

  • Israel Rulez! Iranian shit Listen to Hatikva anthem and cry!

  • @dorettos23

yes a 60yr old country is better than 10,000 year + old country, keep talking out your behind, and the islamic republic shown to Iran is masonic to hide true history, yes speaking the truth opps, lock me up.

  • @IrianWarriorWithin lol just checkin your channel...what a gross! I don't hide...never. Ahmadinejad will be destroyed like hitler and all the dictators.

  • stop the propaganda machine for all....

  • Brought tears to my eyes! Love hearing hatikvah-the hope. THe hope for peace and freedom. Damn the Iranian~ in the spirit of the olympics he refuses to shake the Israeli's hand...good he lost. grrr!!! Love the Israelis spirit and soul!! Long Live Israel

  • For everyone Insulting the Iranian... If he were to shake the hands of the isreali that would have been the end of his career and the Iranian government would have hunted down his family and kill them

  • You are so right, and that didn't even cross my mind. Thanks for pointing it out. Unfortunately, he will probably see the same fate simply because he was beaten by an Israeli. I hope that the Iranian people find the strength that they need, to reclaim their country from the maniacs who are now in charge.

  • @Farmani why? Its the people who should take over the Iranian government and get the crazies out!

  • I may not like many of the things the Israeli Government does but, in this case, the Israeli representative aptitude was simply magnanimous..... Sad the Iranian rep couldn't be as polite; it's a poor representation of the great Iranian country.

  • El iraní,se negó a saludar al israelí,quien extendió su mano en forma generosa.

    Está todo dicho.

  • He is not necessarily a jerk, if he would have shaken the Israeli athlete hand the

Iranian regime would have possibly retaliated against him or his family.

There is always "the other side to a story".

No need to jump to fast to conclusions.

This is just to bad for everyone.

    EZ

    EZ

  • @EZRASCHLEY The fact that the Iranian is probably too scared to shake the Israeli's hand, yet the Israeli was forthcoming to be friendly to the Iranian does indeed tell "the other side to the story". The Israeli has nothing to fear from promoting good international relations, as this is what Israel wants - worryingly, the same can not be said for the Iranian. I just hope he gets the recognition he deserves for coming 2nd, rather than condemnation for being beaten by an Israeli

  • I thought this competition was for sportsmen. Not only is that Iranian NOT a sportsman but he certainly deserves a special award for being a total dickhead. Still I suppose he is representative of all the other sad tossers who come from that sick country. Sergio, you make us very proud. Well done my friend, you are a true star.

  • Have you noticed the SYMBOLIC SIGNIFICANCE ?

On one side Hitler's flag of yesteryears

on the other side the Hitler of our times,

and in the middle the Israeli flag that beats them both!

AM ISRAEL KHAI עם ישראל חי

  • You have to understand "institutional" hatred. Every public event in Iran starts out with "Death to the U.S. Death to Israel."

There are many Jews living in Iran. The Government knows where each of them lives. When looking for people to hang, those (and the Bahai's) are top on the list.

All that is necessary for a hanging is some kind of "indication" that one of them is a spy for Israel. Anyone, anytime can "turn in" a Jew or a Bahai. Then they go on trial (if they are lucky).

  • We have to be proud as Israelies and jews !

We dont need that shaking hand from that Iranian sportman for to be a winner.

We can winn without it and that what we did. !!!!

    KOL HAKAVOD.

  • If that Iranian guy were to shake his hand, that would be the end of his career. Maybe even more than his career. So I won't blame him so much as the Iranian regime that forces him into this.

  • what a jerk that iranian is. so what else is new? only goes to show you how backward, low class and weak minded those iranian citizens are! even the athletes are losers.

  • @adniloniram

    Beautiful comment there.

I have a fetish for racist xenophobia you see ... =/

  • @diegokacha Dec. 21 approx.: Thank you for your superb post; I'm so glad I know enough Spanish to understand it! Well done!

I've often thought that God has a quirky Sense of Humor. This shows He also has a flair for Cosmic Drama. This scene is beyond the imagination of a human playwright.

  • Should've provided the English translation:

If this were a Master Card ad it'd be something like:

    1. Trip to Poland: $700

    2. Fifteen years of training: $275,000

    3. Listening to Hatikva while seeing the flag of Israel waving between Iran's and Germany's, on Polish soil, and seeing the reaction of the Iranian athlete: PRICELESS!

  • El irani perdio contra Israel, su reaccion fue tipica de los loosers.

  • El Iraní, como dijo Maradona, la tiene que seguir chupando.

    Arriba Israel.

  • did anyone notice that the announcer did not say the state of Israel when he was given his medal

  • @bouncekwf yeah, i also noticed that...

  • Si fuera un anuncio de Master Card sería algo así:

    1. Viaje a Polonia: $700

    2. Quince años de entrenamiento: $275.000

  • I HOPE THE IRANIAN WAS NOT HUNG IN HIS CONTRY FOR LOOSING AGAINST THE ISRAELI..........

  • @wolfiber and I hope he was :-)

  • the Iranian is just a piece of garbage. He refused to even shake hands with the winner. And I thought that there were no politics on the track.

  • @hburack I think he was afraid. There might be no politics on the track, but there are certainly politics in Iran. Deadly politics.

  • Anazing! So simbolic! Well done Sergio !!

  • min 2:50 epic

  • Young Israeli extends hand in friendship to have to refused by the Iranian who would have been punished or worse for reciprocating. Sad... very sad that there has to be this sort of hatred on the sports stage... Israel has tried time and again to extend its hand only to be rebuffed with NO, NO, NO. I pray one day the hatred will end.

    Gershon

  • Nice sportsmanship, Iranian a-hole, for not shaking the WINNER'S hand.

  • @Babspace But I don’t think he would have survived the next 72 hours if he’d done it. he lives under a terrible regime.

  • mazel tov !

good for u and our contry!

it was not not only winning, it was being a true israel citizen

  • so nice to see the Israeli flag on top of the German and Iranian flags

  • @thejosephschwartz In Poland, yet!

  • @thejosephschwartz too bad no one gives a shit. is anyone even watching this in the stands? LOL

  • Mazel tov

  • THAT"S MY COUNTRY!!! UP ANS ABOVE THEIR ENEMIES EVEN IN THE LITTLE THINGS!!! THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL LIVES!!!

  • This idiot Polish announcer swallowed her tongue when she would be announce country of the winner of the first place. What a pathetic piece of shit.

  • This is awesome. I feel bad for the poor Persian; if he shook the Jewish hand he would have had his cojones chopped off when he got back to Iran.

Nice to see the class act Israeli reaching out to the representatives of those that executed the last Holocaust and the one representing those that wish to orchestrate the next one.

  • Comment removed

  • Thank God for that little tiny, 1/3 of San Bernadino County, country named ISRAEL!!

God Bless them and God help the rest of us...

  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Superb job!

  • Notice that the announcer names the country of every single contestant -- except Israel. (Although she mentions its name at the end, when she mentions its national anthem.)

  • The Iranian guy is right for not shaking the Israeli's hand.

If he shook his hand, they would have executed him in Iran and jail his family.

(and like in Iraq - rape the family girls - Sadam had a royal rapest - Iran have the guardian sadomize)

The Iranian guy saved him self - and he was banned from all competitions anyhow.

  • @chagaysh blah blah blah

  • if the 3rd place is awarded to someone from Germany, and the second place to someone from Iran, how come no mention is made of where the first place winner comes from?? strange isn't it, that Israel goes unmentioned?

  • Серега-Герой!!!!!

  • We met Sergio at the World Master Games in Sydney last year. He is a true class act. Mazel Tov Sergio, you are a hero. NEVER AGAIN

  • NOTICE THAT THE IRANIAN JACKASS REFUSES TO SHAKE HANDS WITH THE ISRAELI CHAMPION!!!!

  • If he shook the hand he would lose it when he got back home. The Mullah's would chop it off

  • funny how the israeli extends his hand to shake with the iranian and the iranian refuses...

  • @deathofisrael

You look like a Nazi and talk like a Nazi.

Fuck you hate monger antisemite, it is you mouth that is soaked in blood !

Death to you, and God bless Israel !!!

Don't you answer me because I am going to erase it, and I have no intent of waisting my time, on poison like you !!! People like you make me puke !!!

You are a Hitler in a making !!!

  • @victorsblock because it is big. Not like yours 1.5" piece of rag. Now get fucking lost, imbecile.

  • @mk181818

I thinks you directs your hate towards the wrong person. I have a BIG Hard Kosher Steel Cock.

If you like that I can stick in your mouth but only muslim usually likes that.

  • It shows you the real problem of the Middle East , but why in sports ?

I knew the guy from Israel who went to the Olimpics in Munic, and never came back....so sad...

  • Comment removed

  • Sergio Britva no necesita que un mediocre le dé la mano; independientemente de la nacionalidad que sea. La mediocridad es un mundo aparte. Qué hermoso sería que ese mundo desapareciera. Saludos desde México.

  • Um. I find that lots of people are defending the Iranian contestant by saying, he's afraid of what will happen to him when he gets back to Iran. HELLO, THAT'S EVEN WORSE! The problem isn't this particular weightlifter, the problem is a society and regime that would punish one for shaking the hands of an Israeli . If you defend the contestant on that ground, in that same breath you impugn the regime ten times worse.

  • @Philosotox

You are right, but the Iranian guy could have refused to participate in the competition.

I am sure he knew that there will be an Israeli weighlifter in the competition...

I knew David Berger, the Israeli weightlifter who went to the Olympics in Munich in

1972 and died in the massacre on the 11 Israeli delegates by Muslim terrorists, and

nothing has changed in 38 years, they still hate the Israelis just as much, if not

more.even as beautifully things sports, they mix politics..

  • @Philosotox For merely getting onto the podium withSergio ,the Iranian guy and the top Iranian weightlifting delegate ended up getting a lifetime ban from competition for Iran from the Iranian Ministry of Sport .What a bunch of maniacal douchbags. 88usa

  • At least the Iranian stood during the playing of Hatikvah--he could be punished for that. I actually feel sorry for the athlete. He doesn't seem to have any animosity towards the Israeli but seemed afraid of what his superiors could do to him if he even shook his hand. In the Olympics, the Iranian teams wouldn't even compete if they had to compete against Israel. I think they should have been expelled from the Olympics for that.

  • Totally snubbed by the Iranian, and the Pole announcer didn't bother to state the name of the winning country. It's sad to see that the hate is ingrained so deeply that they can't show signs of sportsmanship on a world stage. It's not about land or anything else material. It's about pure, whole, never ceasing and unconditional hatred.

Congratulations to Sergio and Israel. Well deserved. Congrats to Iran as well, as it seems like you need all the rational, moral support you can get.

  • Seeing Sergio with tears in his eyes, made me want to cry as well. Even in a world weight lifting event, the Israeli's get spurned by some of the contestants. The deep hatred many of the Arab countries have for Israel and Jews is evident even here as the Iranian refuses to shake the Israeli's hand. How pathetic. In the end, the Iranian was punished anyways for standing next to the Israeli.

  • @leonkushner

Your comment is so great, good people like you reminding me of our Prime Mister who is such a good person. In his speech in the Parliament

about Canada standing beside Israel (even if it is not so popular, It is worth watching on you tube...I will vote for him, for sure !...

The Iranians are showing to the world their real face how stupid and antisemitism

they are, and same goes for the Muslims around the whole world...

What the Hell does politics have to do with sports...

  • @011jaffa Thanks! We have the best prime minister that our country has ever had. Possibly one of the best world leaders as well, reminiscent of Churchill. I just hear Jose Aznar speak on the defense of Israel. He is the former PM of Spain. He spoke with such conviction about supporting democracies like Israel. We must continue the fight and posting comments like ours will certainly help.

  • @leonkushner

Thanks Lion for your comment, I am happy that you support Stephen Harper, we

have to do more so others will appreciate him and vote for him, because I am afraid to loose him as our PM.

  • @leonkushner

Thank you for telling me about Jose Aznar, it is really touching, but it is shame that he is not Spain's PM anymore, lets hope that the current PM of Spain Jose Luis Zapatero thinks the same as Jose Aznar. Israel needs many friends as Harper and Aznar...

  • @leonkushner

Unfortunately, I read about Spain's current PM Jose Luis Zapata, he is not a "Fan"

of Israel (mildly said), he condemned Israel for using too mush force...and at that

time he was wearing the Muslim terrorist scarf. You can read it yourself on the internet...

  • The Israeli's flag higher than the iranian is very symbolic in my mind. Notice the iranian putz wouldn't shake his hand...he was so pissed. Bravo Israel!

  • Bravo Sergio !! from Argentina,Roberto Glaubach congratulates you and say:I´m proud a lot to be a Jerwish !! The stupid action of the iranian shows in a more than clear cut, how far from Israel they are !!. A storm will fall more earlier than later over "Adolf Amadinejad" and their stupid talibans.Just criminals, dangerous criminals. !! endangering the whole world. The Jewish Culture and Civilization will prevail. ISRAEL WILL PREVAIL. WE WILL SUCCEED !

  • Sergio looks so proud and moved when Hatikvah is played! Congratulations Sergio!

  • si se fijan el el minuto 1:37 el irani no tiene la dignidad deportiva de darle la mano al israeli, que gano la medalla de oro....

  • I am crying!!! Super!!! Iranian idiot will be beheaded for losing to Israeli... Seeing an Iranian, a German and a winning Israeli in Poland is something;)

  • fuck iran

  • עם ישראל חייייייייייייייייייייי !!

  • David Berger, the American-Israeli weightlifter murdered in the 1972 Munich massacre, grew up across the street from me, in Shaker Heights on Fairmount Boulevard. He was a few years older, and when we were little kids, he would let us watch him lift weights in his parents garage. Sometimes he would let us little kids ride on his back while he did push-ups. I thought of him while watching this video. And, like Sergio Britva, I choked up during Hatikva.

  • Congratulations and well done, Serio Britva. You are a true sportsman and gentleman.

  • In Memory of the Israel 1972 Olympic Team Savagely Murdered by Islamic Terrorists. Bravo Sergio Britva.. showing great skill and integrity. Proudly representing the ONLY DEMOCRACY in the Middle East. The Iranian, sore loser

was pathetic...but if he shook the extended Israelii hand, that might be cropped off

back in his stone age Iran. As to the Polish woman speaker...who mentioned every

participant's country, and Iran twice, but Israel not once. She committed the crime of omission, nut

  • כל הכבוד פשוט גאווה לאומית תודה לך פשוט מרגש לראות וחבל שלא שדרו בכל הערוצים

  • Its a Zionist conspiracy. LOL.

  • Congrats to Sergio Britva. That Iranian should be ashamed of himself. What a fool.

  • Well done Sergio !!

You are a true Israeli. You offered the hand of partnership, but once again found the partner was missing. You can hold your head up high, not only for your sporting achievements, but for the way you conduct yourself.

  • @KaufmanMather

This is so sad . And bravo to the Israeli for willing shaking the hand of the Iranian. But I wont judge to fast because we do not know anything what is in his heart. He may be an enemy or he may be not but just because out of scare of the reactions of the Iranian authorities he may not wanted to shake his hands. many Iranian people disagree with their government. They have no freedom and can be sent to prison just for shaking a hand to an Israeli in public.

  • @KaufmanMather

  • @KaufmanMather

Once again?! ha ha ha, if only.

  • aM i NEUROTIC? The announcer, fucking polish bitch, calls the country for the German and the Iranian but does NOT announce the country for the champion, at 1.24 No wonder Poland was and will be a champion of antisemitism, they suck it with the mother milk, in church.

And then we have that Iranian piece of SHIT who gets the stretched out hand of the champion and he snubs it. What a people !! No wonder they have a country living in the Middle Ages: every nation has the government it deserves.

  • @Purrete You are not neurotic, the Iranian guy snubbed the Israeli. On the other hand it was a lovely rendition of "Hatikvah" ...

  • Ah, to hear the Haktivka - yoffi! What a sight, the Israeli beside the last oppressor and the present enemy. How symbolic. of being right there between those who hated you in the past and those you hate you now. And to stand tall and be the winner- we Jews are proud of you!!!!!!! Israel shall stand strong no matter what the world proclaims. NEVER AGAIN!

  • LOL how awesome is it to see the Israeli flag rise above the IRANIAN and the GERMAN flags hahaha

  • I think he was about to, naturally, shake the mans hand but he remembered what the Iranian government would do to him back home.

    Don't forget two basic facts:

    - Iran is under an oppressive, Islamist regime

    - Iran's government continually intervenes in Iranian sports

    Mazal tov, Sergio Britva.

  • Стыд и позор Иранцу; это спорт, а не политика!

Ты не должен был вообще участвовать в турнире если уж такой "политичный".

  • fuck you ARAB MOTHER FUCKERS. FUCK ALL YOU DIRTY HAIRY IRANIANS. WITH YOUR HAIRY MOTHERS AND BROKE ASS NIGGAS. FUCK YOU.

hahaha the Iranian guy... an absolute disgrace as usual!

  • am yisrael chai!

  • Iran, didn't they tell you when you competed you might have to shake hands with a Jew? Show some class!

  • Hey Iran, you're quite the championshit, eh? Shame on you.

  • wow, talk about bad sportsmanship.

MAZEL TOV SERGIO BRITVA! canada is proud of you!!!

  • wow, talk about bad sportsmanship.

MAZEL TOV SERGIO BRITVA! canada is proud of you!!!

  • Israel is here to stay, get used to it!

  • 2:45

Strange moment. The Israeli flag is between the German flag and the Iranian flag - while Hatikvah plays.

  • goo israellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.iran u always suck

  • awwwww great Israeeeeeeeeeeeeel!!!! i love love love love love love you!!!! you r above everyoneeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

  • iranian classless pos , but problbly didnt want his head or hands chopped off when returning to ackmackidentijahadi

  • Hatikvah is one of the most beautiful national anthems I have ever heard.

  • Dispicable behavior, he doesn't deserve the medal or to stand beside the others!

    Mazel Tov Israel!

  • Though the announcer said the name of the country from which the winners came she wouldn't say "ISRAEL" while introducing the Israeli first place winner, and the Iranian wouldn't shake the Israeli's hand!

  • It's fucking Ironic How the Israeli flag is high above the German and Iranian flags as Germany tried to annihilate The Jews during World War two and the Iranians are trying to find a way to do it now.

The Fucking Iranian dictator "Ahmud Needs A Jihad" must be munching on the end of a fucking Persian carpet after seeing this video!

    Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Thats some fuck'n funny shit man!

  • mazel tov to Israel! Am Yisrael Chai! Germany shook hands, Iran looked down with anger and humiliation- what a shame-

What a proud moment for Israel and humanity!

  • L'ATLETA IRANIANO AL RITORNO IN IRAN E' STATO RADIATO A VITA DA TUTTI GLI SPORTS PER AVER ASCOLTATO L'INNO ISRAELIANO.....

LUI SI E' GIUSTIFICATO DICENDO CHE NON SAPEVA CHE C'ERA UNA PREMIAZIONE CON L'INNO

    MA NON E' SERVITO

RADIATO LUI E IL SUO ALLENATORE

  • Israel seeks for peace, Iran search for war, nothing can simbolize it more than here!!!

  • Mazel tov, Sergio. Felicitations a vous pour votre geste sportif. Et aussi pour votre victoire.

You behaved like a true gentleman and a sportsman. The Iranian mullahs clearly lost the plot - but you cannot expect anything better from Islamists who have no notion of human solidarity and are only fuelled by hatred of other religions. The Khameini fellow has now started targeting India also.

  • CHAI CHAI CHAI AM ISRAEL CHAI

  • Congratulatlons, Sergio Britva -- not only for your winning success, but for your integrity and excellent sportsmanship. Your Iranian opponent was pathetic immature.

  • @IamaZionistGoy Make no mistake about it, she forgot on purpose, but he made sure they knew where he was from, proudly wearing his shirt with ISRAEL printed on the front.

  • I think they should disqualify the Iranian from future competitions for poor sportsmanship. Or even take away this medal.

  • As an Iranian, I would like to say I am sorry! Wish the Israelian Winner all the best and hope comes a day that all Iranian, Israilians and Palestinians are relaxe and friendly to each other.

  • Gotta say, I love seeing the Israeli flag flying above that of Iran and Germany. Nice symbolism there.

  • What we see here is more than Israel doing what it does best, winning. But it captures what Israel is all about. Class, strength, integrity, Sportsmanship, Honor, extending its hand to its neighbor, and last but not least, RISING ABOVE all the triumph in the end.

Israeli's and Jew's might be out numbered in this world, but never mistake it for a weakness. We have the heart of a lion, and the eye of a tiger!

    Mazel Tov Sergio!

  • @dannymax0901 love what you said...am yisrael chai

  • I'm sure he had a cold.

  • fuck the jew haters and fuck this announcer and fuck this persian motherfucker. i'm persian myself and fuck that fool. nobody hates on jews like that, that's bad sportsmanship.

  • @heartbreaknate19 Very well said. I couldn't agree more with you bro.

  • First chess, now this?? LOL, poor Iranian competitor not strong enough to shake the Israelis hand. Three times a charm?

  • very soon the whole of Iran will salute Israel!

  • I feel bad for the Iranian guy. It's not his fault his piece of shit tyrannical government would imprison him for shaking the Israeli guy's hand. Mazel Tov le Sergio!

  • The Iranian weightlifter perfectly represented his county's policy of hatred, oppression, and all that is evil in the world. I don't want to hear the people are great and it is only the government either, they hate en masse.

  • Mazal tov Sergio and Israel! Wonderful.
