dead sticks get caught sometimes in living branches of growing plants and trees, sometimes these sticks can be pretty big and build up, this tangling makes it harder for trees to grow to their full potential, this can be gathered for firewood without cutting trees, and it actually helps the trees, and more luscious and wholesome forest growth, since the healthy growth of the forest we can sense and is connected intimately to Our life, all are aided and none harmed - the karma free tree hippie
Wonderful ! I love fractals. I create my own images using Tierazon.
I also happen to live on the West Coast of New Zealands South Island, where I seek out and photograph those wonderful 'Middle Earth' landscapes you speak of. I have some of the most beautiful images of New Zealand forests and wild places. You can view some of them here in my 'Wild Places' album on Flickr .... Look for 'New Zealand Wild'
I'm also on facebook. Look me up: Steve 'Lord Potty' Reekie :)
@PottyEsq Hello Steve, first, thank you for your kind remarks. Second, I have viewed your many remarkable photographs of unparalleled Aotearoa beauty. Although choosing a favorite among such excellence is impossible, I particularly like the image of the Primeval beech forest at Coal Creek with central ferns. Your eye for color, balance, and resolution is exquisite. You are indeed a kindred spirit.
@carolnorris The experience this video was created to portray was, for me, a magical one. Your comment conveys to me a sentiment that leaves me with the feeling that I was, in some measure, successful in communicating some of that magic. I thank you kindly.
Absolutely stunning imagery ! It reminds me of my sojourns of many months in my younger years in some of the most remote parts of New Zealand ( Lord of the Rings' "Middle Earth" ). What a gift you have ! I'm sharing your work via my FaceBook and You Tube links with others. Thanks so much - yes you really have succeeded !
@rijkent55 Hello my friend. This particular video is very special to me because I try to portray an experience I had that was truly mystical in scope. It is important to me to try to convey some of that meaning. You are only the second viewer of this video who answered my question. That makes you special as well. That wonderful magical New Zealand where you live must be a contributing factor. Thank you kindly, your company is always welcome.
Wonderful!!....Thanks...if only we could all see things in this way so beautifuly what a magical enchanted place it would really be.....meybe one day.....peace on earth.
I always greatly appreciate comments like yours because they make me feel as though I have made an important connection. I sincerely believe that such connections have synergistic effects where the whole becomes greater than the component parts. Thank you so much for your kind words.
Abysimus, I appreciate your kind comment regardless of time. When we look at the surrounding us world in macro or micro scale, with the perception of a child; unspoiled with laws, dogmas or lies, we can capture this world as it is - truly magical. By moving around the table at Mad-hatter's, we always get someone's dirty cup. Since everything around is in constant motion, there is always a chance of new discovery among very common subjects which are always changing. Like floating river of energy.
"We often speculate on the reality of magic. I no longer do" Can't agree more, The reality can be magic and magic may become a reality. All we have to do is to look in the right places and at the right moment. It's possible without using magic mushrooms, like Alice did :)))
Blackchisel97! Please forgive the inexcusable delay in responding to this comment. It is one that I somehow missed. Now that I have seen it, however, I want to respond because you managed to pick out my favorite sentiment in the entire video. Also, you are exactly right on about looking in the right places at the right moment. I get the distinct feeling that you and I are very much on the same wavelength.
