and another thing, praying is a matter between a Muslim and God, so thinking that such publicity would actually induce some sort of an awakening in the other Muslims or non-muslims for that matter is purely nonsensical. Actions are judged by intentions and i believe the intention here was to show others how Holy he is instead of actually intending to pray for the sake of God himself.

To be honest, this was entirely unnecessary. Im a Muslim as well but for God's sake people, why on earth would you go ahead and give yet another deliberate chance to non-Muslims to pass on un-Holy and discriminating comments by praying on a taxi ?!?!?! fine, the streets are dirty, but you could just carry with you a sheet that you can spread on the road before you spread the JaiNamaz on it. Or you could have prayed in a parking lot or anywhere. There was absolutely no need to show off like this.
