Stewart is generally correct. To just point out that Jim Cramer is good at apologizing is pretty much moot. He doesn't 'hide behind comedy'. He's a comic first. It's a fake news show. The really sad part is that The Daily Show is sometimes a better source for news than many other news stations.
Not sure what you tried to prove with this but it failed on me. A bunch of video clips that have nothing to do with each other crammed together to make us think something that did not happen, and music sucks worse then the video. WTG on that. Also not sure why 144 people went out of there way to like this, but to each their own.
i'm not going to criticize you on this video because it would take far more effort than you possibly could have taken making this piece of shit on windows movie maker but i will say this - you have terrible, terrible taste in music.
1) When Cramer "predicted" a downtown in the DOW, it was already clear to any economist with a brain what would happen. He was hardly in the minority.
2)Scarborough can't handle Rachel Maddow or any lib with a backbone. Stewart has been up to par with guests like Christopher Hitchens. Scarborough would be no challenge.
3) What the fuck do you know about what Stewart shares with his mom? STFU
I heard Jim Cramer ate human fetuses. Not like aborted ones either, he goes around with a straw and sneaks into pregnant women's rooms in the dead of night, and just sucks the fetuses up through their mother's vagina. It's really disturbing, why hasn't anything been done about this?
How does one even go about trying to insult a clown? What, do you make fun of his big red nose? Point out the inadequacy of his tiny car? Insult his poor fashion sense?
Jom Stewart is a comic. that is how I look at him. My news I get from several sorces. But it is main stream media giving Jon all this power that he does not have. So funny. Heck I use to watch Jon every chance I could I just dont have the time anymore. This is a great time to be alive,, All the liers are pointing fingers at each other. To funny. This sounds like more crap to distract you.
This video is so stupid. Jon Stewart didn't criticize Cramer for making wrong picks. He criticized Cramer for making wrong picks and lying about it later. Saying Bear Sterns was safe and then saying he was misunderstood when it tanked. When Cramer said the DOW was going down, it wasn't exactly the boldest prediction at the time. In fact, he called a bull market which Santelli called him out on..
Not to mention Cramer ADMITTED to manipulating stocks and breaking the law!!! But you left that out!
Jon Stewart took on Bill O'Reily on the factor and whipped O'Reilly in the unedited version. Their is no one more intimidating then Bill O'Reilly. Stewart also whipped Chris Mathews on the Daily Show. Cramer is an idiot. Since the 80's the bonds traders have not been able to understand their own transactions. Read a real financial journalist such as Michael Lewis and you will figure some shit out. Liars Poker and the Big Short by Michael Lewis,
This was the most pointless video I have ever seen. Nothing you just said can be backed up. I especially like how you played Jim Cramer's quotes in the entirety but cut up and mashed together everything Jon Stewart has said.
yeah whatever!! watch John Stewart take Bill OReilly to the woodshed--on FOX! all these attacks on a satirist like Stewart just show he's hitting some sensitive nerves.
It's nice to see Stewart's Daily Show audience come out of the woodwork to defend him. For those of you who think he's some great intellect he wouldn't last in a true debate setting for longer than 2 minutes without his legion of writers and teleprompter (Who does that remind you of?) He so clearly wants to be taken seriously as a political commentator but retreats behind his "Hey it's just a comedy show" routine whenever someone seriously presses him on an issue.
@lsudolemite Did you see his debate with Bill O'Rielly? And not the Fox edited one, I mean the WHOLE interview. Stewart destroys O'Rielly without his writers and telepromptor. Go watch it.
@kilroy227 An O'Reilly interview hardly constitutes a debate. His own intellectual honesty has been suspect IMO since Obama won the presidency. I'd actually expect Stewart to fare well in that format. He's a veteran comedian and knows how to make someone look stupid when necessary. I'm talking a real political debate where he actually has to advocate and defend policy positions, as well as punch holes in arguments set forth by serious-minded people who know their facts, not a cable TV hack..
One of the things that makes Jon Stewart so effective is he has great timing and has really funny commentary. This video is really badly made and has poor points in contrast. Jon Stewart is a satirist and a good one at that the maker of this video isn't. In future if there is no music that fits don't play any.
Hi, I am from Romania, but I watch Jon Steward every time the show is on. I can't believe you hate that guy, he is really funny and sarcastic, that's he's role on the job, he doesn't have to be actual or anything, just funny. I really don't like Obama, but then again I didn't like G.B. If you don't like he's show just don't watch it, stop complaining, it's not like someone is forcing you to watch it.
@codenamepsychedelic, You're right, the people that understand his show love him, the people that are too stupid to understand what's going on make ignorant comments here.
@williamfrist "Are you indicating that the DNC should be paying Jon Stewart to talk about the issues with a comedic undertones?"
Its only fair since he and his team of writers work so hard to promote the DNC agenda/talking points "with a comedic undertones" every night... do you really think the DNC should get all this propaganda from the Daily Show for free?

Great vid. Jon Stewart. he needs to pull his head out of Obama's ass and decide if he wants to be a comedian or not. lets hope not because he is a waist of a good time slot.
Lol at the mother question! Do you think maybe she STARTED investing when she was younger? No? That is just 'cause Ted Haggard has been banging your ass for too long. Btw, that was a joke to illustrate that you should ALWAYS take comedy so seriously. Btw Jim Cramer's edited Obama comment is fully available on The Daily Show website, which is probably where you copped it anyway. So please stop insinuating that they tried to hide it!
this shows absolutely no hypocrisy of Jon Stewart. I'm not quite sure what you are trying to expose about Jon here but it was a horrible, horrible attempt.
The Daily Show is not only funny as hell, it's actually the best news show on TV. Jon Stewart seems to be one of the only people in the media who actually holds people accountable for things they say.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I get sick of John Stewarts racist comments. Ofcourse no one notices them because we have been socially conditioned to believe that insulting white people is ok. On one episode of the daily show he made a comment about how a rich person needed to go to prison. He made a comment about not going to a "White guy" prison. Prisons are not segregated, This jack ass was saying that white people have special prisons.. Hides his racism behind comedy... smug scum.
The Daily show made a response to Rick Santelli calling over mortgaged home owners losers who made bad financial decisions. The Daily Show then showed clips of many CNBC analysts giving bad advice. Cramer just happened to take the pot shot personally. And quite rightly watching the clips, Jon Stewart points out he never made the claim to be an expert on the issue like Cramer. After all in 'Cramer we Trust'.
I am a fan of Jon Stewart. He just made a joke about Cramer on his show. Cramer blew it out of proportion. So what is Jon gonna do make the whole thing a joke. He is a comedian what did you think he was gonna do. If you actually watched his show and all the pieces that happened during the timelime of events instead of flashing clips maybe you would realize the point Jon was making. Instead you just make yourself look like a jerk TheMouthPeace
"Apparently Jon Stewart doesn't share his millions with his mother"? Where the hell do you get off jumping to that conclusion? The money she invested was probably his, and now that she's lost it, he's probably doling out again. You asshole.
Difference: one has a comedy show the other millions look to for financial decisions. Apples to Oranges bud... Like comparing Dane Cook to the Pope. I wouldnt do confession with Dane Cook and I don't expect to be entertained by the Pope.
The problem with that is, Jon Stewart is a democratic comedian. Fairness and honesty (the way you're talking about it) aren't funny, and ultimately, it's all about the contract with Comedy Central the ratings his show gets. His show is hilarious, but no one should really be getting all their news from him, if any at all.
I like The Daily Show and the Colbert Report because they're funny. I don't take them as serious news though. The problem is that people take them seriously. You're still right though.
Stewart never attacked CNBC for being wrong, but CNBC's Rick Santelli for blaming America for getting it wrong. This bled out to all of CNBC's personalities, including Kramer who had some choice words for Stewart. If the "Authority" of business is so wildly wrong about the meltdown, how do they allow their correspondents to blame regular Americans?
Good video. I watch his show all the time but its very true that he hides behinds the guise of comedy to avoid scrutiny, while of course taking biased snippets from media. Hes the same as the people he criticizes...but much more entertaining.
Surprise! People who consider Stewart an investigative journalist; reliable source of news; or an informed commentator are the same people that voted for the Obama.
I voted for Ron Paul, and I think he more reliable then fox, msnbc, nbc, abc, cbs and any others I missed. The man is funny, and he has capitalized off stupid news and financial advice in a time of depression... He's making money. Good for him!
As for the comment on the video that his mother should buy bonds? wtf? They already back down from last year. Good call. Oh, and she is 75 now... she probably started buying stocks back much before she was 75... so long term investing is still legit...
He is a comedian and, the sad thing he is a better source for news than the majority of current news programs. That doesn't mean he is not a comedian anymore.
LOL....... if you rely on Stewart for your news, you are screwed. LOL He is SUPPOSED to be a comedian, but so many rely on him for the NEWS. LOL Unbelievable. What is reality...... ??
Well I mean yes John Stewart is a douchebag but what do you expect here you have a man untouched for nearly ten years in his profession untill colbert comes and now shits on people to show that he ll always be on people and as long as you have people either a) bashing obama for nonsensical reasons or B) people fuckin up on a large enough level, he just sorta lost his way i guess not defending bc i dont know the man but yeaIseeexactlywhereyourcomingfrom but kramer is kind of a snakey lookin dude
What's with all the ellipses? Secondly, Jon Stewart's job is to make funny jokes. He's not "hiding" behind comedy, that is his career: comedy. If you watch his show and get all flustered (which it seems you have), then go watch something else. The show's purpose is to entertain, not inform. Next thing you'll know you'll be wondering why Rock stars don't take their own advice... idiot.
Correct, though I would add that good political satire goes after all sides. SNL used to be good at this (haven't watched lately, though): Clinton, Bush... they took shots at them all. After all, if one can't laugh at oneself...
Too bad there's so many like epitux that are too blind to see through the rhetoric and media bias. There are two sides to every blame and every success. But seeing that is not what politicians need. They're happy watching us yell at each other and not at them.
What did he cut out? The unedited clip was immediately posted on the dailyshow website. you guys don't think the 'demonization' of the word 'liberal' is wrong- last I checked the word liberal is defined: Adjective 1. ..favour progress and reform 2. generous in temperament or behaviour 3. tolerant of other people 4. [abundant] 5. not rigid; free 6. (of an education) designed to develop general cultural interests and intellectual ability 7. Liberal of or relating to a Liberal Party -That's bad?
Well if they don't practice what they preach they are hypocrites no matter what party affiliation they have, and I have nothing for hypocrites in the first place.
That is what liberalism is supposed to be, in the sense that Republicanism is supposed to be small government no taxes right to privacy but they seem to forget that too..
No argument with that... and that's what bothers me the most: I no longer have a choice I like. I want less govt, more privacy, less taxes, etc. But no one is offering that anymore.
So my voting is now reduced to damage control: who'll do the least harm to us all? Not a good situation.
I concur- sad sad days in america, and the protests are confined to the private sectors of the country who have no real way of organizing their own protests instead fall in line with protests like tea parties under false pretenses..a valid protest but without valid cause it seems- organized by the very people we have become disenfranchised by. I asked the question- did anyone vote FOR bush in 04 or just AGAINST kerry? I say we demand better candidates not accept the lesser of two evils..IMHO.
"tea parties under false pretenses"??? Which news media are you watching these days? ...though I think I already know the answer to that one.
And how might we demand better candidates of 2 parties that really don't have our best interests in mind?
It seems we just have to wait for another truly gifted one to come along and recognize it. Doesn't happen often... but it better happen soon 'cause this latest pres is throwing us under the bus.
I don't know that Obama is doing any worse than Bush, I think your media source has just been covering Obama's evils disproportionately to Bush's, we forget that MUCH of the world, not just a judge in spain..think that Bush and Cheney have committed war crimes..something I agree with and would accuse Obama of if he had been part as well- no partisanship here- war crimes are war crimes. As for false pretenses, yes- what was the Tea party protesting? Taxes? Not Obama's taxes but bushes..?
Hmmm... who do you think is going to pay back this years govt spending... plus what's coming? And I thought obama was going to get us out of Iraq... at what point does he inherit the war criminal status?
He doesn't 'inherit' war criminal status- he did not falsify evidence so that the 'facts were fixed around the policy' (Downing Street Memo) as well, even if Iraq is in the clear..Bush authorized torture..Obama stopped that (allegedly..)
Who is responsible for the need for all of the Govt Spending- if I recall Bush started it and acknowledged it was a necessity when he started the TARP bailouts..
Of course we all owe the national debt- Obama is over-spending, but he wasn't the first..
He WILL become a war criminal if he DOESN'T allow an investigation into torture- that is a requirement of international War Law...if torture takes place in your country, the following administratino MUST investigate it, failing to do so is a war crime- so he will be a war criminal when it's clear he isn't going to prosecute or even investigate war crimes of the previous administration- you don't 'inherit' war criminal 'status' unless you continue the war crimes- like starting wars and torture..
You know I'm messing with you. What both of us don't know is the series of intelligence briefings all presidents get. Righteous obama changed a few of his promises once he got the hard realities only the top get... bet it was the same for Bush.
And why do we have to pay for a bailout of GM when they're going bankrupt anyway? Bad business decision there... oh, that's right... the govt isn't supposed to be controlling businesses.
I agree- let them fail and it will devote their resources to other areas of the economy that are more prosperous, anti-trust laws were drafted for a reason and this is it- too big to fail is a monopoly..
But I must say, I also agree that 'getting the bus out of the ditch' is hard..
but if the guy put it in the ditch was doing it for personal gain at the expense of others..well then we have a problem. The downing street memo shows they knew iraq did not pose a threat, and regime change was rule..
To be honest, I blame society at large for demanding so much above and beyond from our Government- one of the reasons the Government has become the economic policy-directive is because the PEOPLE demand that their burdens be lifted by the Government during times of economic hardship..like a recession or depression. I don't think you would turn down free money from the Govt when you are hurting? Did you turn down the first stimulus? It's OUR fault for creating this economic-controlling beast.
If the government offered you money you telling me you would turn it down? If you are in trouble even? Look at New Orleans- they demanded and INDEED NEEDED government assistance, if it were not for being saved by the government more would certainly have died there, and had the government acted more preemptively even more deaths could have been avoided. Not taking sides, just illustrating that society as a whole demands very much from the government when they are 'in dire straights.'
I've been in trouble many times in my life. But I figure things out, get a new plan, and get it to work. That's what Americans do to build a strong country. As soon as it becomes the norm to tap resources from the government (aka you and me... the taxpayers) frivolously, things go downhill fast.
Don't get me wrong, New Orleans needed help and it came (the details are another argument). WE HELP THOSE IN REAL NEED.
I'm bitching about the lackies.. those in line for undeserved handouts.
One other thing. Why are "we" so fixated on New Orleans? What about the flooding of Iowa? Why is the media NOT asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn't solved this problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks and trailers and food services are? Asking why the Federal government isn't moving the people of Iowa into free hotels in Chicago and Minneapolis? Where are the government bail out vouchers and the government debit cards that were handed out in New Orleans?
"We" are not fixated on New Orleans any more than deserved- I was merely mentioning it, but you do know that it was THE largest disaster in American History correct?
Anyhow, the reason they need help and Iowan's didn't as much apparently arises from the actual population dispersion- New Orleans was a huge city that was turned to nothing, no power, no infrastructure, no food, and most major highways were blocked, the only way in was boat or plane, and the people were trapped there, unlike Iowa.
There is also a difference from a storm surge/levee breach during a hurricane and flooding from rainfall...i.e. Homes weren't just wet- they were gone...
Hmmm... you need to get outside of the box. I've posted some pictures of the Iowa flood on my website. It's quite a bit more than you think (or what the mainstream media describes to you).
I understand that Iowa is not a single city it is scarcely populated farm land on the average..I also get that rivers overflowing will cause surge damage, but I think what you are missing is the element of surprise and preparedness that we are now ready for post-Katrina- I'd be willing to bet there are plenty of FEMA handouts occurring where needed..even in Iowa, and if not then I am outraged at that.
Well I must admit I hadn't seen the pictures- it is severe, more than I had anticipated, but what strikes me is that there do not seem to be people there, I would guess Iowa being in the flood plain they know when it's serious and evacuate- for sure after Katrina..that was what was so devastating about Katrina was the people were suprised and stuck in their homes in the morning when they awoke, stuck in the city. Those attempting to leave were turned around at the city limits by other cities..
The difference between the people of Iowa and New Orleans is probably nothing. The difference is how things were handled by the news media and local govt (whose is responsible for the initial safety for all people in their areas). Both get failing grades from me.
Honestly, why wasn't the city and state govt of New Orleans ready for this? They should know more about the possible dangers than anyone.
And don't get me wrong... I'm not crazy about Bush either. He and his party had a window to fix things... they just turned into democrats and started spending.
It just irritates me that he gets targeted by the owners of the blame themselves.
I started in the business I'm in about 22 years ago. What struck me is they were NOT blame oriented. In other words, if you screwed something up, it wasn't a matter of blaming you... it was a matter of "OK, so what is the easiest way to fix this problem and move on?" It's an engineering mindset. And I find it has served me well. If only the govt could take that approach and REALLY look at the data and make a logical decision.
Unfortunately, the politicians only care about being elected. IMHO, the Dems are the worst... there seems to be nothing they won't do. After all, why does BO keep getting his administration filled with people that can't pay their taxes? These aren't dumb people! It's their patriotic duty to pay taxes ;)
And now Queen Nan can't remember the waterboarding briefing anymore.. geeez what a bunch of hypocrites.
The Reps are yet another can of worms. Just not as dangerous.
The tea parties were a libertarian movement to bring attention to Ron Paul's Federal Reserve Transparency act and as well to protest the Tax code- not Obama's taxes, Taxes in general. The right wing, i.e. Gingrich and Armey hijacked the 'grassroots' of the organization and funded them and marketed them to the Republican constituency- you wonder why there were MOSTLY GOP at the parties when only 21% of the country is GOP now? It's because the others saw it was a GOP hijack and became no-shows..
I am a fan of the Daily Show .... but I do agree with this guy. Jon was a real dick to Cramer and he himself hides behind his comedy and fucks around with anyone he wants to!
This video is very arrogent. If Stewart is hiding why does he invite critsizm and everyone he pokes fun at on the show? Plus they told everyone on the show to watch the whole clip on their website. In fact I'd say that him and Colbert are very bold, and more honest about not knowing as much as someone like Cramer. What Stewart saw is a guy being victim to the entertainment side of news. It's a shame it all fell on Cramer though but it needed to be done. Someone bitter made this video.
We need to enrage and awaken the intelligent good people of this Country and inform them that the party is over if we allow the politicians elected by the fidiots of the uninformed majority to continue down this road much longer it won't matter who is elected next in Congress or the White House because our Country will be hopelessly stapped down by even more incredible debt to the world and and impossible to remove Socialist Laws that will kill the American Spirit. Te Mouth Peace has the tools
I've helped propogate most of your other Vids because they showed in a very effective Audio Visual way the complex realities of todays corrupt politics that need to be changed.
The ones we need to reach are not just the people who get their news from the un-funny Jon Stewart who wouldn't bother to watch any of your vids because they think they already know everything.
I can't believe that nobody else noticed how stupid it was to talk about the 75-year old, mother of a multi-millionaire who has a long-term investment plan.
Yeah, I'm danish. Doesn't mean I don't watch his show. I enjoy it alot. Very funny, very smart man. But then again I'm a liberal gay loving pinko from a socialistic hell- hole, so I would'nt know.
I was being sarcastic about all the things some americans seem to believe is the case in europe. What is I don't get? Care to explain? What I saw here, was a pathetic try to blame Jon Stewart for doing things, comedians do, and implying that he is something he isn't. To give him responsibiality as a journalist. But I have to say, as a foreigner, he does a better job (sadly) than some of the media. and that's really sad, when people come do depend on a comedy show. because the news are biased.
People watch jon stewart to laugh but they get their news from him because they are too lazy to dig for real news. Stewart is not a newsman at all. So at what does he do a good job?
What you didn't get was that Stewarts audience believes anything he says so much that they give him great props for a "gotcha" point that his 75 yr old mother is being used and lied to by Cramer giving stock tips on his show. That the poor innocent little dear has been told all her life that she should invest in the long term and that maybe she was ruined by the crash on wall street for which Cramer is responsible. They are too stupid to see through the obvious deception and (cont'd)
knowing that this works the crowd into the "comedic" pitch that he desires all the while really covering up for the real criminals in the democrat party that sit on the banking committees and finance committees and that use Fannie and Freddie for social engineering and societal revolution. But his audience just wants to "laugh" and you know...get a little news. That's what you can't get cause you are what you are.
His job is to entertain. The Daily show focus on things that they find important, and then they make comedy about it. They are on comedy central. cramer is on a financel network. There is a difference. Jon often go after the media because their "News" are biased. MSNBC is leaning left, and Fox News right. Jon's point is often that they should do their job, and do unbiased news. Many people are angry about the bias, so they watch Jon who cuts to the point with comedy. It's sad. but true.
This is the same bullshit you put up before over and over but worded slightly differently. People can read. You do not have to repeat yourself. If you are not going to read my comments please stop trolling and go the hell away. Isn't there a muslim protest demonstation in Copenhagen you could record and put up on YT to entertain us? Please do something like that and be useful. Thanks.
Then fuckin understand what I am saying. Are you stupid? This is on comedy channel. why don't you focus on the news etc, who's job it is to inform the puplic instead of a comedy show?! Let Jon Stewart do his fucking job, and stop acting like he is the one ruining your country. Honestly, put yourself together. I keep repeating to make you understand. Obviosly you can't count on the person making this video, because the dude didn't even know Stephen Colbert is sarcastic, which is so obvios. God.
Hey the real you! Except I think you're actually more angry. I say Stewart should move to Denmark and watch the muslims scare the shit out of him hahaha. He'd be afraid to leave his apartment.
Wow you seem to be a racist. how sad. . I would love to have Jonhere in denmark though. Good for you. Judge a whole country because of some idiots's drawings in a newspaper. I guess you are all like Bush then. Isn't ignorance such a bliss?
A racist? Because I made a comment about muslims? So there is only one racial group represented by muslims in Denmark? And you didn't know that I don't know about it! LOL
Ullygirldk could be a left wing American reactionary. Throwing the race card so quickly with no need to consider the facts. Just throw it down FTW! Why don't you move to the US. Alot of warmth for you here. Sigh.
Okay, what are you talking about? lol. One racial group in denmark? No, but why the hell does that have any meaning? "And you didn't know that I don't know about it!" wtf are you talking about?
No, I called you a racist, because you kept bringing up muslims and how scared Jon Stewart should be of them. I found that to racist, as if because they were muslims, the would automatic hurt someone. Which is BS. But now that I look back, I could have been misreading your comment, so I apologise for calling you a racist.
Yes well a muslim could be black or a muslim could be Indonesian or Arab. It was a bit confusing and knee jerk. But never having been to Denmark I had no idea what racial makeup muslims there may be. Frankly I've been called racist here in America but incorrectly so. It is a strategy for winning an argument or unfairly demonizing someone so I'm really sensitive to it. But on the whole I accept your apology.
Okay, I'm glad. Normally I don't throw it around, (unless someone IS racist) I guess I got caught up in the Youtube "Comment fight" As sad as that sounds. I dunno, it's mostly muslims from Iraq and Afghanistan coming here for protection. They are nice people.
This was not at the same level of intelligence and production quality and importance as the other video's.
Did Big Bro get involved?
I'm not buying it.
This is a distraction to the important issues the real Mouth Peace people would be educating us on and is composed of re-hashed facts already stated in previous videos.
Oh btw, nice jab at Jon's mom and family. Real nice. The fact that you did'nt know Stephen was a democrat is just sad. He is funny becasue he MOCKS republicans. By being exstremly sarcastic and acting like what he calls "A high class status idiot"
That was Stewart grandstanding. Nobody invests long in stocks at age 75. That is just plain stupid. He brought it up, and it was a gratuitous and stupid example. If you are 75 you invest in safe CDs, unless you are crazy.
If a financel network claim to have knowledge about it, and sometimes gives advice, what the hell is a 75 person supposed to think?! I'm sure he shared his money with her, he is a good person. But it does'nt change the fact that the network is doing bad reporting, and instead of being with the the people, they play along with Wall Street. Btw, I would change that Stephen Colbert thing in the end of the video. It's really ironic.
Do you believe for a single second that Jon Stewart's mom bought Bear Stearns stock based on Jim Cramer's advice? If that was the case, she would have gotten out of the market 6 months ago when Cramer said to do it and SAVED IT ALL!
Stewart calls a $400B crime "A cheap cop out" and smears Cramer for getting a stock pick wrong. This guy is a bozo and a sellout. He is a government lackey doling out stealth propaganda to an unthinking twitter generation.
Not on fucking Jim Cramer's advice only! It's not just him! It's the channel! should'nt they be giving real finance advice, instead of promoting gambling etc? Jon focus on what he want to focus on. He had Jim on the show so that he could say what he feels. Doesn't mean you should take it for news or not. Cause they don't claim to be!
And I would'nt exacly take your word for it, when you did'nt even Stephen was making fun of you.
If Stewarts mom is in the stock market 100% at age 75 he should get the hell off of TV and spend some time looking after her because if that is true he doesnt' give a damn about her.
I've never seen such a blatant fail.

Stewart is generally correct. To just point out that Jim Cramer is good at apologizing is pretty much moot. He doesn't 'hide behind comedy'. He's a comic first. It's a fake news show. The really sad part is that The Daily Show is sometimes a better source for news than many other news stations.

I heard Jim Cramer ate human fetuses. Not like aborted ones either, he goes around with a straw and sneaks into pregnant women's rooms in the dead of night, and just sucks the fetuses up through their mother's vagina. It's really disturbing, why hasn't anything been done about this?

This video is so stupid. Jon Stewart didn't criticize Cramer for making wrong picks. He criticized Cramer for making wrong picks and lying about it later. Saying Bear Sterns was safe and then saying he was misunderstood when it tanked. When Cramer said the DOW was going down, it wasn't exactly the boldest prediction at the time. In fact, he called a bull market which Santelli called him out on..
Not to mention Cramer ADMITTED to manipulating stocks and breaking the law!!! But you left that out!
Spengler56 1 year ago
Jon Stewart took on Bill O'Reily on the factor and whipped O'Reilly in the unedited version. Their is no one more intimidating then Bill O'Reilly. Stewart also whipped Chris Mathews on the Daily Show. Cramer is an idiot. Since the 80's the bonds traders have not been able to understand their own transactions. Read a real financial journalist such as Michael Lewis and you will figure some shit out. Liars Poker and the Big Short by Michael Lewis,

rktech68fl 1 year ago 2
It's nice to see Stewart's Daily Show audience come out of the woodwork to defend him. For those of you who think he's some great intellect he wouldn't last in a true debate setting for longer than 2 minutes without his legion of writers and teleprompter (Who does that remind you of?) He so clearly wants to be taken seriously as a political commentator but retreats behind his "Hey it's just a comedy show" routine whenever someone seriously presses him on an issue.
lsudolemite 1 year ago
@lsudolemite Did you see his debate with Bill O'Rielly? And not the Fox edited one, I mean the WHOLE interview. Stewart destroys O'Rielly without his writers and telepromptor. Go watch it.
kilroy227 1 year ago

Hides his racism behind comedy... smug scum.
teamusajohn11 2 years ago
The Daily show made a response to Rick Santelli calling over mortgaged home owners losers who made bad financial decisions. The Daily Show then showed clips of many CNBC analysts giving bad advice. Cramer just happened to take the pot shot personally. And quite rightly watching the clips, Jon Stewart points out he never made the claim to be an expert on the issue like Cramer. After all in 'Cramer we Trust'.

There's a difference between political satire and political agenda... do you know the difference? I used to think I did. Now I know... do you?
jim15215 2 years ago
One is humorous commentary, the other is the selling of a political ideology
mtlsoul 2 years ago
Correct, though I would add that good political satire goes after all sides. SNL used to be good at this (haven't watched lately, though): Clinton, Bush... they took shots at them all. After all, if one can't laugh at oneself...
Too bad there's so many like epitux that are too blind to see through the rhetoric and media bias. There are two sides to every blame and every success. But seeing that is not what politicians need. They're happy watching us yell at each other and not at them.

If liberals practiced what they preached, I'd have a different opinion.
jim15215 2 years ago
Well if they don't practice what they preach they are hypocrites no matter what party affiliation they have, and I have nothing for hypocrites in the first place.
That is what liberalism is supposed to be, in the sense that Republicanism is supposed to be small government no taxes right to privacy but they seem to forget that too..
lunac666 2 years ago
No argument with that... and that's what bothers me the most: I no longer have a choice I like. I want less govt, more privacy, less taxes, etc. But no one is offering that anymore.
So my voting is now reduced to damage control: who'll do the least harm to us all? Not a good situation.
jim15215 2 years ago
I concur- sad sad days in america, and the protests are confined to the private sectors of the country who have no real way of organizing their own protests instead fall in line with protests like tea parties under false pretenses..a valid protest but without valid cause it seems- organized by the very people we have become disenfranchised by. I asked the question- did anyone vote FOR bush in 04 or just AGAINST kerry? I say we demand better candidates not accept the lesser of two evils..IMHO.
lunac666 2 years ago
"tea parties under false pretenses"??? Which news media are you watching these days? ...though I think I already know the answer to that one.
And how might we demand better candidates of 2 parties that really don't have our best interests in mind?
It seems we just have to wait for another truly gifted one to come along and recognize it. Doesn't happen often... but it better happen soon 'cause this latest pres is throwing us under the bus.
jim15215 2 years ago
I don't know that Obama is doing any worse than Bush, I think your media source has just been covering Obama's evils disproportionately to Bush's, we forget that MUCH of the world, not just a judge in spain..think that Bush and Cheney have committed war crimes..something I agree with and would accuse Obama of if he had been part as well- no partisanship here- war crimes are war crimes. As for false pretenses, yes- what was the Tea party protesting? Taxes? Not Obama's taxes but bushes..?
lunac666 2 years ago
Hmmm... who do you think is going to pay back this years govt spending... plus what's coming? And I thought obama was going to get us out of Iraq... at what point does he inherit the war criminal status?
jim15215 2 years ago
He doesn't 'inherit' war criminal status- he did not falsify evidence so that the 'facts were fixed around the policy' (Downing Street Memo) as well, even if Iraq is in the clear..Bush authorized torture..Obama stopped that (allegedly..)
Who is responsible for the need for all of the Govt Spending- if I recall Bush started it and acknowledged it was a necessity when he started the TARP bailouts..
Of course we all owe the national debt- Obama is over-spending, but he wasn't the first..
lunac666 2 years ago
He WILL become a war criminal if he DOESN'T allow an investigation into torture- that is a requirement of international War Law...if torture takes place in your country, the following administratino MUST investigate it, failing to do so is a war crime- so he will be a war criminal when it's clear he isn't going to prosecute or even investigate war crimes of the previous administration- you don't 'inherit' war criminal 'status' unless you continue the war crimes- like starting wars and torture..
lunac666 2 years ago
Isn't prolonging the war continuing it?
You know I'm messing with you. What both of us don't know is the series of intelligence briefings all presidents get. Righteous obama changed a few of his promises once he got the hard realities only the top get... bet it was the same for Bush.
And why do we have to pay for a bailout of GM when they're going bankrupt anyway? Bad business decision there... oh, that's right... the govt isn't supposed to be controlling businesses.
jim15215 2 years ago
I agree- let them fail and it will devote their resources to other areas of the economy that are more prosperous, anti-trust laws were drafted for a reason and this is it- too big to fail is a monopoly..
But I must say, I also agree that 'getting the bus out of the ditch' is hard..
but if the guy put it in the ditch was doing it for personal gain at the expense of others..well then we have a problem. The downing street memo shows they knew iraq did not pose a threat, and regime change was rule..
lunac666 2 years ago
To be honest, I blame society at large for demanding so much above and beyond from our Government- one of the reasons the Government has become the economic policy-directive is because the PEOPLE demand that their burdens be lifted by the Government during times of economic hardship..like a recession or depression. I don't think you would turn down free money from the Govt when you are hurting? Did you turn down the first stimulus? It's OUR fault for creating this economic-controlling beast.
lunac666 2 years ago
Speak for yourself... Everyone I voted in stayed true to the course and have voted no to all the spending nonsense.
And I own my own small business so I get NOTHING of the stimulus money. No tax break, no "refunds"... nothing.
jim15215 2 years ago
If the government offered you money you telling me you would turn it down? If you are in trouble even? Look at New Orleans- they demanded and INDEED NEEDED government assistance, if it were not for being saved by the government more would certainly have died there, and had the government acted more preemptively even more deaths could have been avoided. Not taking sides, just illustrating that society as a whole demands very much from the government when they are 'in dire straights.'
lunac666 2 years ago
I've been in trouble many times in my life. But I figure things out, get a new plan, and get it to work. That's what Americans do to build a strong country. As soon as it becomes the norm to tap resources from the government (aka you and me... the taxpayers) frivolously, things go downhill fast.
Don't get me wrong, New Orleans needed help and it came (the details are another argument). WE HELP THOSE IN REAL NEED.
I'm bitching about the lackies.. those in line for undeserved handouts.
jim15215 2 years ago
One other thing. Why are "we" so fixated on New Orleans? What about the flooding of Iowa? Why is the media NOT asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn't solved this problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks and trailers and food services are? Asking why the Federal government isn't moving the people of Iowa into free hotels in Chicago and Minneapolis? Where are the government bail out vouchers and the government debit cards that were handed out in New Orleans?
jim15215 2 years ago
"We" are not fixated on New Orleans any more than deserved- I was merely mentioning it, but you do know that it was THE largest disaster in American History correct?
Anyhow, the reason they need help and Iowan's didn't as much apparently arises from the actual population dispersion- New Orleans was a huge city that was turned to nothing, no power, no infrastructure, no food, and most major highways were blocked, the only way in was boat or plane, and the people were trapped there, unlike Iowa.
lunac666 2 years ago
There is also a difference from a storm surge/levee breach during a hurricane and flooding from rainfall...i.e. Homes weren't just wet- they were gone...
lunac666 2 years ago
Hmmm... you need to get outside of the box. I've posted some pictures of the Iowa flood on my website. It's quite a bit more than you think (or what the mainstream media describes to you).
jim15215 2 years ago
The real question here is what is the difference between the reaction of the people of New Orleans and the people of Iowa?
jim15215 2 years ago
I understand that Iowa is not a single city it is scarcely populated farm land on the average..I also get that rivers overflowing will cause surge damage, but I think what you are missing is the element of surprise and preparedness that we are now ready for post-Katrina- I'd be willing to bet there are plenty of FEMA handouts occurring where needed..even in Iowa, and if not then I am outraged at that.
lunac666 2 years ago
Well I must admit I hadn't seen the pictures- it is severe, more than I had anticipated, but what strikes me is that there do not seem to be people there, I would guess Iowa being in the flood plain they know when it's serious and evacuate- for sure after Katrina..that was what was so devastating about Katrina was the people were suprised and stuck in their homes in the morning when they awoke, stuck in the city. Those attempting to leave were turned around at the city limits by other cities..
lunac666 2 years ago
The difference between the people of Iowa and New Orleans is probably nothing. The difference is how things were handled by the news media and local govt (whose is responsible for the initial safety for all people in their areas). Both get failing grades from me.
Honestly, why wasn't the city and state govt of New Orleans ready for this? They should know more about the possible dangers than anyone.
Answer: corruption... the system fell apart.
But let's just bash Bush instead. It's easier.
jim15215 2 years ago
And don't get me wrong... I'm not crazy about Bush either. He and his party had a window to fix things... they just turned into democrats and started spending.
It just irritates me that he gets targeted by the owners of the blame themselves.
jim15215 2 years ago
Sorry... I'm gonna rant ;-)
If only the govt could take that approach and REALLY look at the data and make a logical decision.
jim15215 2 years ago
Unfortunately, the politicians only care about being elected. IMHO, the Dems are the worst... there seems to be nothing they won't do. After all, why does BO keep getting his administration filled with people that can't pay their taxes? These aren't dumb people! It's their patriotic duty to pay taxes ;)
And now Queen Nan can't remember the waterboarding briefing anymore.. geeez what a bunch of hypocrites.
The Reps are yet another can of worms. Just not as dangerous.
jim15215 2 years ago
The tea parties were a libertarian movement to bring attention to Ron Paul's Federal Reserve Transparency act and as well to protest the Tax code- not Obama's taxes, Taxes in general. The right wing, i.e. Gingrich and Armey hijacked the 'grassroots' of the organization and funded them and marketed them to the Republican constituency- you wonder why there were MOSTLY GOP at the parties when only 21% of the country is GOP now? It's because the others saw it was a GOP hijack and became no-shows..

I mean the IMPORTANT stuff that's happening right now, .. The "legislated" changes to our constitution like new representatives from DC.
The beginnings of the takeover of the freedom of the internet.
We already know that the Fidiots who elected Obama get their news from Mr. Smugness.
I like your Video's but this one doesn't seem useful as did the others to inform and change minds.
Just a personal attack, no matter how spot on.

you are the Mouth Piece for Wall Street, Madoff, and all the other crooks.

I can't believe that nobody else noticed how stupid it was to talk about the 75-year old, mother of a multi-millionaire who has a long-term investment plan.
ericdxx 2 years ago
Why is that stupid? It was to make a point? you did'nt get it?
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
you're the one who didn't get it.
prrolg 2 years ago
I'm sure that's true. lol
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
Yep.
prrolg 2 years ago
;) lol
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
Oh you are from Denmark. You are forgiven for the Jon Stewart thing.
prrolg 2 years ago
Yeah, I'm danish. Doesn't mean I don't watch his show. I enjoy it alot. Very funny, very smart man. But then again I'm a liberal gay loving pinko from a socialistic hell- hole, so I would'nt know.
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
Well I'm not sure what all of those adjectives have to do with the thing but you are not American so you do not get it. All I'm sayin'
prrolg 2 years ago
I was being sarcastic about all the things some americans seem to believe is the case in europe. What is I don't get? Care to explain? What I saw here, was a pathetic try to blame Jon Stewart for doing things, comedians do, and implying that he is something he isn't. To give him responsibiality as a journalist. But I have to say, as a foreigner, he does a better job (sadly) than some of the media. and that's really sad, when people come do depend on a comedy show. because the news are biased.
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
People watch jon stewart to laugh but they get their news from him because they are too lazy to dig for real news. Stewart is not a newsman at all. So at what does he do a good job?
prrolg 2 years ago
What you didn't get was that Stewarts audience believes anything he says so much that they give him great props for a "gotcha" point that his 75 yr old mother is being used and lied to by Cramer giving stock tips on his show. That the poor innocent little dear has been told all her life that she should invest in the long term and that maybe she was ruined by the crash on wall street for which Cramer is responsible. They are too stupid to see through the obvious deception and (cont'd)
prrolg 2 years ago
knowing that this works the crowd into the "comedic" pitch that he desires all the while really covering up for the real criminals in the democrat party that sit on the banking committees and finance committees and that use Fannie and Freddie for social engineering and societal revolution. But his audience just wants to "laugh" and you know...get a little news. That's what you can't get cause you are what you are.
prrolg 2 years ago

Thanks.
prrolg 2 years ago
Then fuckin understand what I am saying. Are you stupid? This is on comedy channel. why don't you focus on the news etc, who's job it is to inform the puplic instead of a comedy show?! Let Jon Stewart do his fucking job, and stop acting like he is the one ruining your country. Honestly, put yourself together. I keep repeating to make you understand. Obviosly you can't count on the person making this video, because the dude didn't even know Stephen Colbert is sarcastic, which is so obvios. God.
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
Hey the real you! Except I think you're actually more angry. I say Stewart should move to Denmark and watch the muslims scare the shit out of him hahaha. He'd be afraid to leave his apartment.
prrolg 2 years ago
Wow you seem to be a racist. how sad. . I would love to have Jonhere in denmark though. Good for you. Judge a whole country because of some idiots's drawings in a newspaper. I guess you are all like Bush then. Isn't ignorance such a bliss?
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
A racist? Because I made a comment about muslims? So there is only one racial group represented by muslims in Denmark? And you didn't know that I don't know about it! LOL
prrolg 2 years ago
Ullygirldk could be a left wing American reactionary. Throwing the race card so quickly with no need to consider the facts. Just throw it down FTW! Why don't you move to the US. Alot of warmth for you here. Sigh.
prrolg 2 years ago
And I'd rather live here in Denmark.
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
Okay, what are you talking about? lol. One racial group in denmark? No, but why the hell does that have any meaning? "And you didn't know that I don't know about it!" wtf are you talking about?
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
No, I called you a racist, because you kept bringing up muslims and how scared Jon Stewart should be of them. I found that to racist, as if because they were muslims, the would automatic hurt someone. Which is BS. But now that I look back, I could have been misreading your comment, so I apologise for calling you a racist.
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
Yes well a muslim could be black or a muslim could be Indonesian or Arab. It was a bit confusing and knee jerk. But never having been to Denmark I had no idea what racial makeup muslims there may be. Frankly I've been called racist here in America but incorrectly so. It is a strategy for winning an argument or unfairly demonizing someone so I'm really sensitive to it. But on the whole I accept your apology.
prrolg 2 years ago
Okay, I'm glad. Normally I don't throw it around, (unless someone IS racist) I guess I got caught up in the Youtube "Comment fight" As sad as that sounds. I dunno, it's mostly muslims from Iraq and Afghanistan coming here for protection. They are nice people.
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
This happened 2 weeks ago. What world are you living in?
TheMouthPeace 2 years ago
Ok, what happened to the real MouthPeace.
This was not at the same level of intelligence and production quality and importance as the other video's.
Did Big Bro get involved?
I'm not buying it.
This is a distraction to the important issues the real Mouth Peace people would be educating us on and is composed of re-hashed facts already stated in previous videos.
What about what's happening NOW?
The Mouth Peace has been silenced.
Databyter 2 years ago
Oh btw, nice jab at Jon's mom and family. Real nice. The fact that you did'nt know Stephen was a democrat is just sad. He is funny becasue he MOCKS republicans. By being exstremly sarcastic and acting like what he calls "A high class status idiot"
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
That was Stewart grandstanding. Nobody invests long in stocks at age 75. That is just plain stupid. He brought it up, and it was a gratuitous and stupid example. If you are 75 you invest in safe CDs, unless you are crazy.
TheMouthPeace 2 years ago
If a financel network claim to have knowledge about it, and sometimes gives advice, what the hell is a 75 person supposed to think?! I'm sure he shared his money with her, he is a good person. But it does'nt change the fact that the network is doing bad reporting, and instead of being with the the people, they play along with Wall Street. Btw, I would change that Stephen Colbert thing in the end of the video. It's really ironic.
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
Do you believe for a single second that Jon Stewart's mom bought Bear Stearns stock based on Jim Cramer's advice? If that was the case, she would have gotten out of the market 6 months ago when Cramer said to do it and SAVED IT ALL!
Stewart calls a $400B crime "A cheap cop out" and smears Cramer for getting a stock pick wrong. This guy is a bozo and a sellout. He is a government lackey doling out stealth propaganda to an unthinking twitter generation.
TheMouthPeace 2 years ago
Not on fucking Jim Cramer's advice only! It's not just him! It's the channel! should'nt they be giving real finance advice, instead of promoting gambling etc? Jon focus on what he want to focus on. He had Jim on the show so that he could say what he feels. Doesn't mean you should take it for news or not. Cause they don't claim to be!
And I would'nt exacly take your word for it, when you did'nt even Stephen was making fun of you.
Ullygirldk 2 years ago
If Stewarts mom is in the stock market 100% at age 75 he should get the hell off of TV and spend some time looking after her because if that is true he doesnt' give a damn about her.
