I am pro-choice, and I think its sad that people (mostly Christians) try to make people feel bad about abortion. You think the president has any control over this? Congress and the Senate are the ones who pass laws and regulations. Contrary to popular belief, the president can't make and pass laws by himself, declare war, or spend money. Compared to Congress, he has almost no power. When something goes wrong, everyone immediately looks to the president since he's the figurehead, but 9 times out of 10 it was Congress that did it. I have my doubts about what is being said about Obama. Yes, that practice is outrageous and should be outlawed, but before I blame Obama for being cold and heartless, I would to see if the person drafting that bill tried to put their own agenda in there. You would be surprised at how many things are done in hospitals that aren't official procedure. Just because something isn't part of protocol, doesn't mean it isn't done. This is an example of a taboo subject that is ignored by higher ups in general in order to keep their hands clean. If proper legislation were in place to account for the treatment of the baby, then this sort of thing wouldn't happen. The actual procedure is to strangle the infant, leave it, or kill it in some other way.
