yes ADHD medicine is over prescribed but ADHD is real. The brain scans i had done when i was younger can prove it. The thought connections being made in the brain are not fast enough so they get lost. If you have ADHD the medicine actually speeds you up so those connections are made. How do you know if your kid really has ADHD? Get them tested. Most ppl go to a regular doctor which they should not. KId needs to get tested and get an IEP.

We need to take artificial dyes and sweeteners out of our food supply as well as all other unnatural chemicals (aka poisons). Kids don't need drugs to learn. That's a false datum - and they certainly don't need speed to "sit still". It's drugs used to control - and since "illnesses" like ADHD can be "falsely diagnosed" to kids who in reality need glasses and have unhealthy diets or get too little sleep, it can't be right.

@andreashowrox - the idea that kids have to sit still to learn is a recent thing, and just ain't true. We all learn better by doing along with the book learning, and looking up words. The "sit still" thing is to benefit the teachers (not all of them) who just can't deal with busy kids. The whole "be quiet and don't move" thing didn't exist when I was in school, and ya know, we all learned to read by first grade, arithmetic by first, and learned MANNERS by kindergarten. With no drugs.

Here's the deal: I went to schools all over the world and have met thousands of people I call friends. They are all adults now of course but I don't know a single one that ever took medications for not sitting still, or being class room clowns, etc.
There were kids who had medical illnesses that required meds while at school but there were none I knew of that took psychotropic drugs.

There is no such thing as a "bad" kid. Once a child gets labeled it becomes easier for him to be drugged. We need to discontinue this dis service to our kids.
Get the idea? The medical / government / K12 system is a social and scientific fraud, a whore for money and social oppression disguised as a competent authority. ADSD? First of all, NEVER, get amalgam fillings, NEVER get vaccinations, do NOT listen when told these things are ok, they are NOT. Also avoid fluoride, and this all is just for starters, so get to some real studying on your own, kids, and don't turn your back on Jesus, the real thing.

Kids don't need drugs to learn. That's a false datum - and they certainly don't need speed to "sit still". It's drugs used to control - and since "illnesses" like ADHD can be "falsely diagnosed" to kids who in reality need glasses and have unhealthy diets or get too little sleep, it can't be right.

Awesome! Kids don't need drugs like speed to concentrate in school - I met a girl once, aprenticing to be a teacher: She'd met a kid who'd been given drugs 'cause he had ADHD - reality was he needed glasses!

@andreashowrox - the idea that kids have to sit still to learn is a recent thing, and just ain't true. We all learn better by doing along with the book learning, and looking up words. The "sit still" thing is to benefit the teachers (not all of them) who just can't deal with busy kids. The whole "be quiet and don't move" thing didn't exist when I was in school, and ya know, we all learned to read by first grade, arithmetic by first, and learned MANNERS by kindergarten. With no drugs.

@ZethByrdLA -I totally agree and I wanted to respond to that post earlier but I didn't wish to elaborate here.
Here's the deal: I went to schools all over the world and have met thousands of people I call friends. They are all adults now of course but I don't know a single one that ever took medications for not sitting still, or being class room clowns, etc.
There were kids who had medical illnesses that required meds while at school but there were none I knew of that took psychotropic drugs.

@theandreashowrox They don't need meds, they just need to understand the meaning of the words that they're studying. That's all there is to it. As simple as this. Simply use a dictionary.

I've to be honest, even though I don't like Rap I thing it is a good form of communication that can have a positive influence on others. Actually, I enjoyed this video because it is telling the truth and it has a positive message. Let your children watch this video and pass it on. ADHD and possibly the whole of psychiatry will go down in history for what they are: frauds. Everyone looks back at history and is amazed at some of the weird and awful things that happened, but we all suffer from the same "nothing that weird or awful could be happening now" mentality. Well, psychiatry doesn't cure a darned thing and yet there it sits, charging us money for nothing and even harming people. ADHD's days as a "medical" diagnosis are numbered.

Now is the time for them to come to the table so they can come clean. Perhaps ADHD should be expunged from the DSM? That's just a thought.

There is no such thing as a "bad" kid. Once a child gets labeled it becomes easier for him to be drugged. We need to discontinue this dis service to our kids.

Get the idea? The medical / government / K12 system is a social and scientific fraud, a whore for money and social oppression disguised as a competent authority. ADSD? First of all, NEVER, get amalgam fillings, NEVER get vaccinations, do NOT listen when told these things are ok, they are NOT. Also avoid fluoride, and this all is just for starters, so get to some real studying on your own, kids, and don't turn your back on Jesus, the real thing.
