  • Look at the current crop of GOP fatheads say about religion, A bunch of gibbering Protestant throwbacks

  • cool intro song

  • Islam actually has limitations on the size of stones to throw when someone is being stoned. Not too small, because they've actually got to feel pain. Not too big to actually kill someone with just one stone. So about the size of a fist then?

  • If not an atheist president, atleast an atheist or agnostic person asking unbiased questions to the canidates. This way, you get to expose their true feelings on groups their religion hates.

  • The music makes it so much better lol

  • In Russia, Bears send Priests to attack you!

  • TUNE!!!! :)

  • This is simple: If you are not open minded eventually you run out of arguments then you get pissed off and you start insulting people. When you take it to the extreme, you start torturing and killing people. Man, don't you love religion?

  • Oh my GAWD...

    I love Rush!

  • Love RUSH the band, but that screechy ass singer has held them back from millions.

  • Wat

  • Gotta say it. Love the band, HATE the singer. Stopped me from ever buying an album. I'm sure they lost millions.

  • Well, to each his own I guess.

  • The moral of the Elisha story is clearly, "don't mock bald guys."

  • Did he? That sucks!

  • @civwarfan

No Matt is fine; this h2omanz moron has been going through and posting that on every single (and I mean EVERY clip) Atheist Experience clip. It's not funny or smart. It's just stupid and kind of creepy.

  • @Jimbrown257

O thank you kind sir for the truth.

The truth is like a warm bath I love slipping into.

    Peace.

  • @h2omanz ?

  • "Religion requires freedom and freedom requires religion." Sounds like doublespeak to me.

  • I always appreciate a 1984 reference in conversations about religion.

  • Jesus died. LOL

  • Awesome, no moral obligations as long as you love jesus and believe he is your saviour!! WEE! As long as Hitler truly believed in christ, he could go to heaven, while me, an atheist living a moral and decent live cannot.

Seriously, you call that "moral"??? :-/ Give me a fucking break. Your God is a dick.

  • Haha no I would not. I would like for you to find the passage of scripture that says to do that. I think what you may find is that God called the Israelites to carry out his justice on those who were going against His laws. So in these passages, found in numbers and judges among other books, call for the destruction of cities and peoples in the name of God. It's like the flood in Genesis. Except this was God carrying out justice, instead of His people, the Israelites.

  • Haha, people who say that kind of thing are what God calls non-Christians lol. If you lack faith in some of the Bible, you lack faith in its entirety, therefore lacking faith in God! so, thus spake the Christian is not the truth. It is thus spake the non believer. For instance, let's look at the law of adultry. Many "Christians" dont agree with the thought of not having sex before marriage, so they claim this as allegory. They are wrong, and do not know Christ. Message your response to me.

  • Do you have faith in the entirety of the Bible? In other words, would you take your unruly child to the edge of the town you live in, and stone him/her to death, as the Bible commands? Yes or no please.

  • Thus spake the Christian, "the parts I like are true; the parts I don't like are allegory."

  • Yes and that also is the reason for the many denominations of essentially 'the same' abrahamic religion

If there are too many things you dont like or want to follow, nah no problem..try mormonism, try Lutheranism try..etc etc

  • Freedom requires tolerance and understanding, as well as personal responsibility. Sadly, we live in a world where people espouse to believe in many things, yet don't behave in the manner that they should. Religion should not be singled out. Lawyers, Doctors, Politicians and the like take vows every day. Yet they don't honor them as they should. Every form of human endeavor has been corrupted to some extent. Be it medicine or law, politics or the clergy. It is a sad and unfortunate reality.

  • This is true. But in no field other than religion do the practitioners claim a mandate from the creator of the Universe to act as they do.

  • we need freedom from religion. Stop the mind control.

  • It isn't mind control, dipshit. It's like saying that the corporate structure uses mind control. This isn't some conspiracy thing.

Imagine religion as a business. Business people want more customers. Religions want more believers. But in the end, no one is forcing you to buy a certain product or believe a certain dogma. You still have a choice.

You want to stop mind control? Drive along an interstate and see the billboards or turn on the TV and watch the ads. There is no difference in the goal

  • Have you ever seen the video "Jesus Camp"? Well they're not the only people out there doing that bullshit.

  • as much as i try to stay neutral on the issue, jesus camp is pretty f#cked up.

  • Yeah it's horrible what they're doing to those kids. They aren't even allowed to watch Harry Potter because apparently he's an enemy of God because he's a warlock. Last time I checked he was a sorcerer =]

  • Freedom only requires us to be able to work together despite all of this fluff of belief, religion, and opinions.

  • It isn't really hypocrisy as abortion is aborting an unformed creature and killing living babies is killing something that, depending on the age, is conscious. It comes down to science really. Babies are really not developed enough to even be considered human till about 1, give or take of course as this varies of course. Now, no one with even an elementary understanding of the mind thinks babies are conscious in the womb, this is a belief driven by religion rather than facts.

  • Sure it does, but the personal attacks are hilarious. What is happening here is you are projecting your faults onto others. The fact is consciousness is a measurable thing, like anything else. Whether you like it or not, humans are mixes of chemicals and electrical impulses. The thing you know as consciousness is nothing more than a mix of those things. Everything you do and think can be traced back to areas of the brain and shown by the electrical impulses when thinking.

  • Wow Rugglebum, if it was me talking to whatsetyouapart, the moment he called me a Nazi slave-owning genocidal madman, I would have simply walked away. At that point, he reveals what an idiot he is.

  • I've been called worse. I find when someone dumb calls me a name, it really doesn't bother me that much. This is especially true if they haven't a leg to stand on, as can be seen. I mainly keep the argument going for anyone else reading, not so much him. Clearly he won't listen to anything other than himself and his "holy" book.

  • I'm sure Rugglebum didn't really mean that it was ok to kill babies up until the age of 1, even if he took the odd position of saying they weren't fully human...

My view (as an atheist) is that morality is about promoting happiness and alleviating suffering. Due to this, its wrong to kill something that can suffer it's destruction. Only at the earliest stages of pregnancy can a fetus not suffer its destruction- but up til then, the mother's potential to suffer must take precedence.

  • Now about the 'crimes of atheism'. The 3/4ths human doctrine for blacks was insisted on by CHRISTIAN southern slave owners.

Hitler was a Catholic and constantly cited Providence. In fact, both Nazism and Communism committed genocide precisely because of beliefs that had no evidence, and which they held because belief without evidence was seen to be a virtue. What made them bad wasn't that they weren't religious enough; it was that they were too much like religion.

  • there is no such thing as pro-abortion

    there is however prochoice

    and anti abortion

    so get the semantics correct

  • Well, to be fair you can argue that pro-abortion does exist, but it's a wholly bad idea :P.

I'm prochoice when it comes to abortion, but being pro-abortion is a bit morbid and disturbing.

  • @justinatorator Pro-choice is moronic. Everyone has a choice to do whatever they want.

Its pro-abortion and anti-abortion, Or pro-life and anti-life. You use choice to define a woman's reproductive rights, which she already has.

  • @ccrg109 no anti life means yo uare against life. abortion is not hatred of life. rape babies should they be kept so you can remember you children as one of the most horrible experiences in your life. also pro life was created so that you can say yes we love life. and pro choice so we can say it is our choice wether or not to kill something that has a chance of becoming human. also they can BECOME children and if you are against killign them well men kill about 9,999 every ejaculatulation insex

  • @cake1834 I was referring to justinatorator's semantics about using certain words. I'll have to rephrase. You are correct that abortion is not hatred of life.

Some women opt to having their children through rape. Some don't. Seeing as how women have that right to begin with, they should be fighting to get sex education taught in schools so there are less abortions, less all around pregnancies.

Actually you are grossly mistaken, a sperm and an egg are just the basic cells to create human life....

  • @cake1834 Only when they join is it considered a potential human being. However, it is a human non-the-less. To compare sperm to a living organism that is growing is like saying a seed is the same as a tree. However, it is not. That seed can become a tree, but only after it is planted and watered and maintained. Just like a human fetus.

  • @ccrg109 you have said that a human fetus is not a human i agree. it was most likely my wording was off. i do however was tryign to say that it can create one but isn't one. i meant that if you say it is one then you also beleive that sperm is sorry if it conveyed the wrong message.

  • @cake1834 A human fetus is a human.

  • @Strangerinasland then a seed is a tree. and sperm and eggs must be unfertilized humans. so then in one ejaculation we kill 9999-10000 humans.

  • @cake1834 The seed is analogous to the sperm and/or egg not a fetus.

  • @Strangerinasland actually seeds are alive. sperm is alive. the thing is they are exactly the same. when a woman is able to about a baby. it has not developed a brain or nerves system.

  • @cake1834 Seeds have not developed leaves, branches & fruit. How do you about a baby?

  • @whatsetyouapart you do understand that a fetus in considered a human or at least not able to be aborted after the 2nd or third trimester.

  • I would suggest that freedom is not defined well in this gentleman's estimation. It is kind of an ambiguous term. Freedom can imply murder with impugnity or responsible liberty or even enslavement to one's own belief's and not another's.

I like posting with thoughtful atheists but the guy stage left doesn't seem like one.

  • Yeah, it was that dude who called down orbital strikes on demand wasn't it? Bear strikes are awesome; shame its all bollox though :}

  • Freedom requires religion?

Long answer: There has not been a single theocracy that has not violated basic human rights or denied its people the right free speech, the cornerstone of freedom as we know it. That's why it is written in the Constitution that there shall be no law that prohibits or advances religion.

    Short answer: BA-BULLSHIT!

  • Freedom FROM religion is liberal bullshit.

This is a Christian nation. This nation belongs to God. A nation without God is a nation in chaos. Without God there would be no laws. You should read the Bible.

  • You had best be trolling.

Look at the Netherlands. The country is largely atheist. And there, the Dutch are committing the oh-so-unforgivable crime of... just living their lives. The Netherlands have one of the lowest crime rates in the world.

Actually, America is an agnostic nation that happens to have a lot of Christians. The Constitution says that no law can be passed to inhibit or benefit religion.

  • On top of this, God does not pass laws in this country; men do. Men who represent the populous. And yes, I have read the Bible, and what I read appalled me. The Judeo-Christian God is a sadistic, egotistical, genocidal maniac who, according to the Bible, created us and is toying with our lives for his own twisted amusement. He does what ever he wants, be it good or bad, and if somebody so much as makes a minor faux pax he declares that the streets will run read with blood.

  • The very phrase, "Free in Christ" is contradictory. Basically here's how the argument can be summarized: Jesus give you the freedom... to become his slave. That's like saying the cure for breast cancer is leukemia.

  • Finally, take a look at other nations and societies that held God supreme, and I don't mean the Arabic nations. Those didn't have much hope from the get-go. I mean the Spaniards, medieval Europe, and the Quakers. Related to these, respectively, are the Spanish Inquisition, the Crusades, and the Salem Witch Trials.

  • hotdick. Religion is bullshit

  • Are you sure?

  • religion can not exist with out inflicting violence of some sort

  • Myth, insanity, delusion, murder, torture, incest, child rape, inequality, bigotry, racism, confusion, misdirection, blood sacrifice, ritual murder, ignorance, crimes against women, crimes against children, classification of blacks as animals, bestiality, injustice, separation, divide ,hunger, just to mention a few of the collected ideas the church has graciously donated to society for the common good. How nice.

  • freedom requires religion?

pure bullshit, thats my take on it

  • I voted for Ron Paul.

Funny how all the smart people seem attracted to both atheism and liberty.

  • 'I happen to vote for Ron Paul.' LOL. I hate the fact that the two parties shafted him because they fear his intelligents.

  • it is the system good or bad, if it can be changed.

  • religion is anti freedom

  • Agreed

  • too true.

What about he freedom of a child to grow up without it. Too often ignored.

  • relgion is the first organized force in the world. then governments when formed.

  • It depends on how you define government...tribal bonds and pack law existed long before religion. Technically an alpha male led tribe is a government...not a terribly just or good one, but it still is a form of governance.

  • It is ironic to say freedom requires religion.

Religion establishes a relationship with the absolute dictator of the universe, where "he" supervises everything and can convict people of thought crimes. All praise and glory to him is required of you.

    Give me a break!

  • uh oh, I think the bears are coming ...

  • guinniepig-bears ?

  • Maybe it'll be like "Night of the Lepus" all over again. =D

  • The single greatest movie about gigantic killer rabbits that was ever made. You get 5 points for the reference *thumbs up*
