so what did the pied turn out to be?? male or female, i have one just like it, and mine appears to be a male because it whistles a lot, but the pet-shop i got it from i was told it was a female and ive seen it mating lol so idk..., really cute birds you have btw
Well The pied is so cute! And how knows if it will be a boy or a girl just yet! But I think Major might have been cheated on lol how did to normals give a Latino and a Pied?? who is split there?
This is the 4th or 5th clutch they've had. Someone on Tailfeathersnetwork explained all the ways that the genetics work with tiels and somehow they traced it to the male which I was told meant the special colored birds would be female.
I've found that you cannot let them go unclipped for long. They just adore flying into windows at full speed. By being clipped they are more likely to develop a fondness for their human. I let them grow them back. Even then it is sometimes necessary to trim the outer feathers if they get too sassy. :-)
