Sorry if this is pretty late, You can take a paper towel, and fold in into a reasonable square, tape down the sides so it doesn't flip up. Now poke a hold in the middle wide enough for the soldering iron, and also not too big for the area you're soldering. Doing this would prevent you from over soldering, so the paper towel would catch the solder, not the controller.

As long as the paper towel is a small strip, it shouldn't do very much damage. If you're scared of catching the paper towel on fire, duct tape the whole thing :p

Ok so the LED point is critical because it pulses or something....something about the electrical current cuts in and out rapidly makes the button pulse rapidly....hence RAPID fire lol. Iono...something like that.

Solder one wire to the middle point under the A button, and with the other end of the wire just put it on different spots on the controller to know where to solder it to.

yeah it did, im sorry i didnt include this earlier you need to get the 250 vac push button, because the ressistor's power is traveling further, because its not in the middle so a stronger button at "250 vac"

as long as the soddering points arenting touching each other ur good iit throws off the trigger button if. u get it on the two soddering points and make them connect get that sodder off if you just got some random sodder on a point that ur good. i recomend using some flux so the sodder will atatch to it easier.
