svens pretty cool. i have a nosey be myself his name is blezzy and he'z about 4.5 months old. i realy like your cage setup. but if you have any good advice about making my cage better, or any realy good adicve about them that u have learned that you could give me that would great. Also i was wondering about when i can start feeding him some mealworms.

@MsKD031 yeah plant was dying slowly - they are hard to keep alive without natural sunlight. Yes, i built the cage myself.

@marketp1ace they will usually eat on their own till they are full. I would toss 5-6 large crickets in his container each morning, and sometimes they were all gone, sometimes a few left when I get home from work, so it all depends.

@jgallo712 Murph was when I lived in hawaii. Panthers are illegal there, so when i moved back to the mainland, i was STOKED to get a panther :)

@77BeLLaBeLLa no, that's its hemipenis. If it has not gone back in that's called a prolapse, which can be fatal if not treated. If its still out take him to the vet

@madja2224 Some is yes, too fine of mesh can get their claws stuck and tear them out (screen type mesh). This cage has a soft grade plastic mesh that is most excellent for chameleons.

never put males together, femals can co-exist if givin lots of space & males tend to stress females out if put together for reasons other than mating.

i have a Vale chameleon, he cost me £95 male

had a small female chameleon but she died due to a problem with her arms she cost me £75.

you can find out how to get one by searching for reptile shops that sell snakes ect. you can special order them all in all my chameleon cost me £300 or so, i advise getting males as they live longer and theres no hastle of egg laying

He doesnt look to be a full grown adult. He seems very active too.

I would try changing the gutload you use for the crickets, or even change up the feeder items. He seems like he could use more than 5 crickets a day, especially if he's going after that leaf like that!

Sven is almost 1 year old now. I raised him since he was 3 weeks old. He hatched Jan 5th.  Im going to try to switch his feeder again, so far he has denied all roaches and silks.. but loves waxworms.. sadly i cant use that as staple, so not sure what im gonna try next.

Superworms are great as a staple, one problem, their shells a little hard. They're very cheap by the 100's+ and even easy to breed. When having many on hand, you can pick out the ones that recently molted.

I would starve him for a few days, and offer him crickets again. Crickets are the best staple IMO.

One of my Panthers choose Superworms OVER Hornworms!!! crazy..
