The original title of the Slovenian march, the name of the Serbo-Russian March and is dedicated to the Russians and the Serbs, who participated in the Serbian-Turkish war. At that time a lot of volunteers from Russia, which fought against the Turks in Serbia, to help Slavic brothers.
Tchaikovsky composed the music themes from the Russian and Serbian folk songs and national anthem!
This march is about dichotomy of despair and hope that triumphs in joy in life despite whatever adversities; there is no madness in it. The madness comes from those who habitually or culturally misinterpret Russian character. Great orchestra!
I love that this is an amature band and that these people are playing just for the love of music. It's great! Does anyone know where i could find this piece for the piano?

just a little constructive criticism.
First off, all of them being non-music majors, they sound very good!
Second. I'm very impressed with the winds, very tight and not too overbearing on the strings.
The only real problem is the intonation of the strings, they are fluctuating pitch at times, all in all the whole orchestra sounds great!
