  • @carltilley99 u r on some other planet this album is quality and always will b.

  • does anyone know what the girl is saying in the beginning?

  • Listen to this album while on a car ride through the countryside. That's what I did, and disc 1 seemed to match perfectly with the scenery of farmlands, wide open fields, and vast quantities of forests.

Disc 2, however, was the "Shit's getting real" side. I love how the first disc works better with real images, and the second disc lets you experiment with the images in your mind. Anyway, it told a story without any words. The only ambient house album that's better is Chill Out by The KLF.

  • @Oceangiraffe Chill Out is a milestone record. Will never forget the impact it had when i first heard it.

  • This is one of their best albums. Perpetual Dawn, Little Fluffy Clouds, A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules from the Centre of the Ultraworld? Perfect, awesome, amazing, one of the top ten albums of the 1990s no question.

  • no , i kinda agree its 1 of orbs worst

this is the one special tune on it , the rest iffy

  • I wish I could love this, but I can't. The album is The Orb's worst ever; no excitement, just a sort of experiment catering to Gilmour fans. It is certainly time for a recongnition of Gilmour as an artist, but why with The Orb, of all things? I don't get it. Connect Gilmour with an artist who can show him off in a better way than this...

  • @thomasmoredamian this album is just perfect...you are on your own with those comments

  • @thomasmoredamian your a demented and tortured soul who cannot release now from then. Gilmour wasnt even close on this album, sure theyve done a album with him now but this is ORB.... sod all to do with Floyd or Gilmour other than influences. Even then it holds more in kin with the Brixton movements than it does the 60's 70's experiments.

  • ive bought it at least twice, i have the hard copy...

  • I'm a huge fan of Orblivion, I basically need to own everything they've ever done.

  • Holy balls! I AM NEW TO THIS! This is... =]

  • Danski GREAT upload, I'm always watching this, its that good I'm all over it like a tramp on a bag of chips...I've got you more hits than Rhianna took from fist wielding Chris Brown.

  • 4:51 BOOM

  • Quality..I fell off my bed at 2.20 ish as I lay there the beat kicked in and I bounced off the wall.

  • This song gave me chills...I love it!

  • What is the point of the first 2 minutes of the song?

  • @surfer987dog to trip you out and change you mind, you go into two mins differently than if it just started at 2

  • mint tune.i love it

  • hahah i feel like im in the 80s

  • @ahernra lol 90's?

  • anyone know what the choir singing is? like the name of that piece?

  • @conzor9898 Miserere mei deus is the name of the peice^^ have fun

  • @Castanedaria thank you so so much <3

  • @conzor9898 you are very welcome mate, have a nice day^^

  • The fourth dimension is time.

  • @88Cortex another trait of the 4th dimension is angles of 90 degrees off of what they are now, we can't see what it looks like because we're trapped in third dimension, but we can see the shadow of what one, and it's called a tesseract, carl sagan can explain it better than me haha

  • it could be detrimental for mind, if you listen to this by headphones. if your ears hear different one from another thing, it knocks off the psychic balance. it can lead to sort of depression...

  • @Kiokken you are retarded.

  • @fuckingdouche you don't believe me? look up the damages of headphones. it's very common, that people get deprived of their health due to the absence of knowledge!

  • @Kiokken no, i sincerely do not believe you. id be happy to see the research and proved evidence if you would provide accurate sources. obviously headphones damage your ears/hearing, but i don't see how listening to music would lead to depression and knock of your "psychic balance". music makes me happy, personally.

  • @Kiokken I know! If I knock you off balance I won't be depressed any more.

  • @letsbeone it seems to be that you don't take care of your health...

  • @Kiokken Knowing you're such an idiot has me feeling better already. Thanks! x

  • @letsbeone may it be that you call idiotic every fact that doesn't fit into your wish for the reality? nevertheless, it won't stop them to exist! it's high time to take off the pink glasses und face the truth!

  • @Kiokken And still the rapture heightens, bring me up Oh Imbecile Of Sound. Thank you for I have found savior in your dribble.

  • I so love this track, it is the b side for the little fluffy clouds 12" I have

  • @philsterd371 Where did you manage to find a 12" of Fluffy Little Clouds?

  • @peterk5699 back in the day i supose.

Its a beuatiful track but it is recycling stuff for those who are complaining. I think this is a great track.

LFC is a better track if pitched up almost to the wrong speed its much more funky beat then.

  • Comment removed

  • @philsterd371 I love LFC. Listen to it lmost every day, great for when writing an essay :D

    I'm taking a guess it's a 45rpm and switched up to 75?

  • @Hanley1975 Ha i did years ago and went into that spiral thing listening to this track. I'd love to go back there again. Wow

  • im on mars :D

  • We know the choral "Misere Mei" by Allegri is the singing part of the song but can anyone help. When the beat starts there's a Violin solo. Can anyone tell me what that solo is please ??

Hope someone out there can help

  • @mrfroy1973

Just found this track for the first time - awesome. The violin solo is from Vivaldi's violin concerto in E, R.271 "L'Amoroso": 2nd movement "cantabile". Several good recording of it out there!

  • @vancouverbabypanda Thanks for identifying the Vivaldi sample! I knew that it was Vivaldi, but i hadn't yet figured out which piece.

  • @mrfroy1973 hi, its vivaldi. someone has given all the info at the top of the page.another mystery solved, its bugged me for years.

  • one of the orbs scrappier experiments but I still love it... :D especially the part at 4:50

  • i agree real drums are better but hey if theres no drummer around. lol

  • @limamusicuk Drum machines have become so advanced there's very little difference...the main advantage of real drummers is that, say something goes wrong and someone skips a section, a drum machine will just keep playing where a live drummer can compensate or sometimes cover it up with a hook. Drum machines don't improvise either, but if you put the time in drum machines can sounds virtually identical to a live drummer (so long as you have a good machine)

  • yeah right sure you was in the orb, and i would like to see you do better than this,

  • ma il miserere che si sente all'inizio, lo hanno preso dalla versione di age of empire?

  • @meatymouldia I am glad Alex kicked you out for being such a whining loser. Now all you do is talk crap

  • Its very good music...checkout my edited version....

  • ummm....errr......it's MY edited version!

ConnaughtVaughan you're just a clone of me!

  • @OldSchoolSkill stop being cerebral you old fart and enjoy it maybe you'll get more out of life

  • @OldSchoolSkill Last time I checked, anything with a beat is music buddy.

  • @ldjx1000

You're right. Nowadays, all you need is a computerized beat and a rhyming dictionary to make "music." techno-backgrounds don't even need the dictionary!

Although I actually like some of it, most modern "music" is just loops stolen from other musician's hard-long labor. Sadly, much of it is mind-numbing stultifying boring imagination-less meandering. Still, this kind of computerized "creativity" is better than other pastimes.

  • @OldSchoolSkill Well that's definetly true, when it comes down to music today, imagination is pretty much dead.

  • @OldSchoolSkill Its all preference. Music, much like art, is very subjective. You either like how it makes you feel or you dont. Humans like patterns. We like predictability in general. Most music has an underlaying pattern that we can recognise otherwise we would generally feel offcenter listening to something that didn't.

  • @Totaltwist

    True. No argument.

  • jesus...i feel like i'm back on acid....god those were some good times

  • orb are fucking cool

  • Gief "Spanish castles in space" if you have them. Many thanks.
