Listen to this album while on a car ride through the countryside. That's what I did, and disc 1 seemed to match perfectly with the scenery of farmlands, wide open fields, and vast quantities of forests.
Disc 2, however, was the "Shit's getting real" side. I love how the first disc works better with real images, and the second disc lets you experiment with the images in your mind. Anyway, it told a story without any words. The only ambient house album that's better is Chill Out by The KLF.
This is one of their best albums. Perpetual Dawn, Little Fluffy Clouds, A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules from the Centre of the Ultraworld? Perfect, awesome, amazing, one of the top ten albums of the 1990s no question.
I wish I could love this, but I can't. The album is The Orb's worst ever; no excitement, just a sort of experiment catering to Gilmour fans. It is certainly time for a recongnition of Gilmour as an artist, but why with The Orb, of all things? I don't get it. Connect Gilmour with an artist who can show him off in a better way than this...
@thomasmoredamian your a demented and tortured soul who cannot release now from then. Gilmour wasnt even close on this album, sure theyve done a album with him now but this is ORB.... sod all to do with Floyd or Gilmour other than influences. Even then it holds more in kin with the Brixton movements than it does the 60's 70's experiments.
Danski GREAT upload, I'm always watching this, its that good I'm all over it like a tramp on a bag of chips...I've got you more hits than Rhianna took from fist wielding Chris Brown.
@88Cortex another trait of the 4th dimension is angles of 90 degrees off of what they are now, we can't see what it looks like because we're trapped in third dimension, but we can see the shadow of what one, and it's called a tesseract, carl sagan can explain it better than me haha
it could be detrimental for mind, if you listen to this by headphones. if your ears hear different one from another thing, it knocks off the psychic balance. it can lead to sort of depression...
@fuckingdouche you don't believe me? look up the damages of headphones. it's very common, that people get deprived of their health due to the absence of knowledge!
@Kiokken no, i sincerely do not believe you. id be happy to see the research and proved evidence if you would provide accurate sources. obviously headphones damage your ears/hearing, but i don't see how listening to music would lead to depression and knock of your "psychic balance". music makes me happy, personally.
@letsbeone may it be that you call idiotic every fact that doesn't fit into your wish for the reality? nevertheless, it won't stop them to exist! it's high time to take off the pink glasses und face the truth!
We know the choral "Misere Mei" by Allegri is the singing part of the song but can anyone help. When the beat starts there's a Violin solo. Can anyone tell me what that solo is please ??
Just found this track for the first time - awesome. The violin solo is from Vivaldi's violin concerto in E, R.271 "L'Amoroso": 2nd movement "cantabile". Several good recording of it out there!
@limamusicuk Drum machines have become so advanced there's very little difference...the main advantage of real drummers is that, say something goes wrong and someone skips a section, a drum machine will just keep playing where a live drummer can compensate or sometimes cover it up with a hook. Drum machines don't improvise either, but if you put the time in drum machines can sounds virtually identical to a live drummer (so long as you have a good machine)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
hehehe - you know what they did to write this tune ? they went to the local hmv (after deciding they wanted something vaguely classical) and picked up a bunch of crappy cds and randomly picked out some crap. it is a pile of shit really. (i was in this band once)
You're right. Nowadays, all you need is a computerized beat and a rhyming dictionary to make "music." techno-backgrounds don't even need the dictionary!
Although I actually like some of it, most modern "music" is just loops stolen from other musician's hard-long labor. Sadly, much of it is mind-numbing stultifying boring imagination-less meandering. Still, this kind of computerized "creativity" is better than other pastimes.
@OldSchoolSkill Its all preference. Music, much like art, is very subjective. You either like how it makes you feel or you dont. Humans like patterns. We like predictability in general. Most music has an underlaying pattern that we can recognise otherwise we would generally feel offcenter listening to something that didn't.
