The song was recorded in the Spring of 1993 by Loyola Marymount University student Dale Johnson for his final project in music engineering. He got a B+. This is seriously my favorite song of all time and it didn't even make an album. It's super simple, but the melody is just amazing. It's the perfect mix of rock and pop, which is why Weezer used to be so sweet. They were grinding you down with those power chords, but they had the most beautiful melodies ever to grace a teenage ear. Rivers, you stole my heart with this one.
