It is not the way to close in to the Cannabis subject with reason. Reason is not the case. Cannabis prohibition is a reason it self to reject government, taxes and so on. @EgadsNo, you're figures are wrong. The cost to grow 'medical quality' marijuana indoors, can be as low as $25/ounce. However, this low figure can only be accomplished in a larger scale grow operation. I would agree this is still a large markup, and there is still room to tax marijuana, but don't just throw numbers around.

You can put a huge tax, unprecedented and it would not make pot expensive. Recent rand study shows that the cost to grow indoors can be as low as 10 dollars per ounce for finished product. The black market value (and current medical value) is nearly a 4000% mark up. There is plenty of room for taxes- and competition amongst growers and sellers.

Florida legislators are now considering House Bill 1407 which if passed will allow Florida citizens to vote on the issue of medical marijuana. It is currently in the Criminal Justice Subcommittee . Anyone who can speak to this issue or has some expertise on the matter please take the time to make your case to that committee. Florida citizens call and write your legislators and make sure your voice is heard. If not, Big Government, not your doctors, will be the making your health decisions.
