I graduated from Mater Dei in 1984 and WOW!!! Did this bring back memories. Those were some of the best 4 years of my life. However, I dare you to google "Monsignor Michael Harris" it's scandalous!!!! Good "Catholic" high school, huh?
LOL yes, but that seems to be par for the course these days. All those bankrupt dioceses in California... They should just let the priests marry IMAO. This scandal goes way beyond Mater Dei. But I digress.
No one would have dreamed Principal Harris was up to that stuff back in the day - he was hugely popular as I recall.
Anyway, I'm glad this brought back good memories for you. Mater Dei had some great teachers - I saw Mr. Ebbe, my history teacher, on Jeopardy about 10 years ago (he lost, but it was cool to see him compete anyway)! Remember his Mickey Mouse ties on test days?
Wow!!! I had Mr. Ebbe for History AP. I forgot about the Mickey Mouse ties. They were funny!!! Remember how much he "loved" Richard aka "slick Dick" Nixon. Not!! He was on Jeopardy? Wish I had seen it. Maybe someone will see this and YouTube it for us. LOL!!!

wow - that brought back some memories... now I'm going to look for stuff from my days - 1980-84!! So weird to see Fr. Harris.
