i can remember a moment right after i was born, when the giant lights were over me, with the doctors heads over me .. it hurt to open my eyes, but i wanted to see what was happening.. i felt like the same person as i am now, except without the knowlege gained since obviously.. i think when im old, if i get old, ill still be exactly the same person as when i was born, but with an overlaying of experiences

Now that they can ID downs and other things that can make a child crippled or retarded I wonder why any woman would carry a crippled to term instead of wisley having it aborted?
The nazi's didn't start euthanizing cripples and embezzels, the greeks & Romans did. The United Fascist Union, which I'm a member of, recommends humane euthanasia for crippled and retarded children prior to their reaching the age of reason, probably because the Romans did.
There are many reasons to keep these people around. I had a sister with CP and because of her being in a wheelchair along with many others we now have more advanced types of wheelchairs for the ageing and those injured in acidents. Also Steven Hawking (one of our greatest minds) would not be here. There are many things that these people can teach us along with compassion and humanity. There are many who can have a fulfilling life with these disabilities.
Who should be the one to say what type of life many of these people will have. My sister was given 40 years and the doctors were wrong. She lived to be 49 almost 50 before an infection killed her. I have also known another woman who has CP whose family were told to put her in an instatution. She is now a Speech specialist and over 60 years old. Granted there are degrees to the illness but with tecnology progressing their lives could be better.
When my girl was 5 or so months, she got an amniocetisis and the ultrasound showed my son look up at the needle, and reach for it. The doctor and the nurse were amazed. He is now 20 months. He was tested and has already started school where he has already learned to count to 5.
Go Spock (both of them)!! Yeah, looks like Bradley was all the rage in the 80s. My mom was going to use it for me but never got the chance (complications, emergency C-section, I was lucky to have survived).
I'd like to see a followup on Bob and Kim. That birth was so gentle and positive. Also, I love the name Morgan for a boy. Wonder if he has a girlfriend...*lol*!!
I don't know how Bob and Kim are doing or what kind of a person Morgan turned out to be, but I can tell you that The Bradley Method is alive and well. ;0) I used it and I teach it.
This video is interesting. I'm going to go in search of other In Search Of episodes. I loved it as a kid - the yeti one was my favorite!
During a church youth trip to New Orleans when I was in high school, I met a male Morgan who was about my age. He was beautiful. I hung out with him for a bit, and he told me he missed his parents and his guitar. Now I wonder...
If you believe there are three parts to your being, spirit soul and body you experience will be on different levels. Thus you will have different levels of retrieval of memory and awareness. The spirit/soul of the baby is not totally bound in the body. My kids still say things that surprise me. I had been fasting for a week and wondered if I would loose any weight and my daughter said to me, what is water weight. We are more connected then we think.
Honestly iloveabcnews, I did not even feel that much pain during my pregnancy to be honest. I worked out alot during my first and I still do now. It did not even take me hours to give birth. I'm sorry, what I mean was being pregnant was fun to me honestly. Take care!
I love In Search of, but this episode is lame! no wonder it was the last one made! I wonder if the people profiled on this show ever watch themselves on Youtube?
According to wikipedia, there was another host for the final season. Does anyone have footage of this? Of course, Leonard Nimoy reigns supreme, just curious.

how would an unborn baby know she is IN A BEDROOM? no open eyes to see through the womb?? i think that discredits her.

They explained serveral times through the video that the theory was based on the child seeing through its mother.

@jemp4704 I don't agree. I think it's cruel. But, it probably depends more on the individual case than a quantitive judgement.
I believe euthanasia is best in the case of cripples, especailly if it can be done before children reach the age of reason.

i was c-sectioned myself and yea i agree that prolly aint pleasant at all.

I'd love to go under hypnosis and see if I remember my birth. I was c-sectioned, so I know it couldn't have been pleasant.
