You have to consider a few things when you talk about this. Money makes the world go round. Ron Paul is the only one on the republican side that isn't taking money from special interests. He is consistent in his views & they really can't find any dirt on him. He is only taking Money from his supporters witch means he only has an obligation to his supporters. This makes special interests nervous. The Media, Banks & big oil want his message suppressed.

I also don't see the media giving him 1/10 of the exposure while he continues to beat others in the debates he is ALLOWED to attend and has consistently beat Rudy G and others in the polls. Please really, the media feeds us what they want. Its up to you to investigate a candidate.
I have never supported a republican before Ron Paul. He is the most honest man in politics, John McCain's words. I think this country does not stand a chance is Hillary or obama or romney or huckabee is elected. I would rather support and vote for a candidate that I truly believe in 100% and may not win then throw away my vote on the lesser of two evils, eg Obama and Clinton or any of the others.

Gold standard is dictated by the market. Gold demand and supply is pretty standard due to gold being used just for jewelry and most of the supply has been discovered. The value of paper money "legal tender" is controlled by international bankers with a printing press. They control the entire market artificially, with that they buy corporations, and political power. How rich are you when you can print counterfeit money legally ?
gatsu6969, you have a point about the amount of gold being relatively stable. But it is the US mint, not the international bankers, which prints up US money. Since everything they print can be traced, they wouldn't suddenly print huge amounts of money.
It's true that a corrupt bureaucrat could print money illegally. But it is also true that under the gold standard he could illegally print a document that says that he has gold when he really doesn't (since even under the gold standard we won't be taking the gold around with us).

inflation is caused by an over abundance of money in the market, and not a growing market on which to spend it. the federal reserve pumps billions of dollars into the economy on wall street. that money is based on nothing, so they can do it as much as they want.

Partially cotton actually:) But the point is that anything that is rare (gold or government defined money) can become worthless if people find some other form of currency.

Gold standard is dictated by the market. Gold demand and supply is pretty standard due to gold being used just for jewelry and most of the supply has been discovered. The value of paper money "legal tender" is controlled by international bankers with a printing press. They control the entire market artificially, with that they buy corporations, and political power. How rich are you when you can print counterfeit money legally ?

gatsu6969, you have a point about the amount of gold being relatively stable. But it is the US mint, not the international bankers, which prints up US money. Since everything they print can be traced, they wouldn't suddenly print huge amounts of money.

It's true that a corrupt bureaucrat could print money illegally. But it is also true that under the gold standard he could illegally print a document that says that he has gold when he really doesn't (since even under the gold standard we won't be taking the gold around with us).

finderskeepers1949, as for your concern about the gold standard, there can be independent groups to count the gold, essentially they can audit them to keep them honest. As for its not international bankers, read about the fed, its actually part private and the international bankers are on the board, while the government appoints slightly more than 50% to "counter" the bankers vote, but they pretty much control who the government appoints to.

You are correct that Gold fluctuates based on supply and demand. If they find a large gold deposit the value drops. If they hit a dry spot, then value goes up.
Money is limitless to reproduce and more consistent. a steady upswing in volume, and downswing in value. Thats why you hear your Grandparents tell you that Hershey bars use to cost a nickel.

This isn't about an internet poll. It's about an event (here, specifically in St. Petersburg, Florida) where people show up and they take an informal poll. But as the article says, some of the candidates bussed people in, and you could vote many times if you wanted to.

Er... I just got through watching strawpolling in Florida where Romney supporters voted multiple times, I think You're Confuzed my friend. It's not the Paul campaigners/voters abusing the system.
Also finished a video where San Fran stawpoll leader CANCELLED the polling because 'too many paul supporters' showed up, paid and stood ready to vote ONCE- but denied.

youre only looking at the symptoms, not the problem.
inflation is caused by an over abundance of money in the market, and not a growing market on which to spend it. the federal reserve pumps billions of dollars into the economy on wall street. that money is based on nothing, so they can do it as much as they want.
they let the USA borrow that money, and charge us interest. they give us 600 billion, we owe them 680 billion. this is why they enforce the income tax; to pay the debt.

I'm a noncommissioned officer in the United States Air Force, and I would like to inform you both that I am far from bored about Ron Paul. I'm actually more excited about the prospect of a Paul presidency than I've been about any other candidate since I can remember!
P.S. -- I'm not an internet person, either. I'm a proud member of the U.S. military, and 26% of Ron Paul's third quarter donations came from military members. Now tell me why that is? :)

The Gold-standard permits Americans to be more entrepreneurial since the dollar they own doesn't become devalued. Entrepentures are the lifeblood of prosperity in America, and when we don't depend on Wal-Mart for everything, less money goes overseas and stays in America's economy.
Transistion back to it will be tough, but do able.

Economic charts of the declining dollar since 1913. Although I DO agree with you that the dollar is getting more and more worthless everyday. OPEC made it quite clear to us this morning that they were very upset that we have been exporting our inflation, causing a collapsing dollar. Their oil has been devalued so much because it's based on the dollar that they may be considering being backed by the Euro soon.

Have you ever wondered WHY every nation has to buy oil in dollars? After Nixion took us off the gold standard completly what value would the $ have? AAHh, OPEC was formed and waalah... the dollar had an artifical need. Everybody needed dollars to buy oil. Iran was planning the same thing but when they saw what happened to Iraq they decided to get the "bomb" first THEN make the switch.

After watching all of the videos these guys made for the debate...I'd almost be willing to bet that this video gets used to try to marginalize Paul. The misunderstanding of our tyrannical fiat money system and the resulting devaluation of our currency will be our downfall. You have to understand that Paul is a reluctant candidate. He does not an authoritarian and he would not be able to accomplish permanent change without the consent of congress. That being said, he can use the pulpit of the presidency to explain personal responsibility and fiscal responsibility and small government.

just check him out...for real though...watch as many of his speeches as you can and look up his voting record. It all has a firm basis in constitutional thought, sound economic policy, free trade (real free trade not managed.) He published a book of all his floor speeches in his time in office. It is called A Foreign Policy of Freedom.
