So, I have an order put in at a service provider for an LG Optimus 7 (don't tell me to switch it i chose the phone because its the one i wanted.) I think it is preloaded with 7, will I be able to update to 7.5, or would i need a phone that comes with 7.5 pre-loaded on it?
@siljalaine You are obviously a troll. If you had ever used WP7 at all you would know without a doubt that it is the smoothest and most responsive mobile operating system out there. Also, what is this Andriod and where does one purchase it?
Try to stole somethings from other operating systems, but is never be an open resource system. Never earn the goodness of the Android. The Android is the future!!!!!
@HUNLuther I think Android already is now, and it's more for ease of use and good design than open-sourcedness. You shouldn't think like a power user, you should think like a consumer, and the consumer wants stuff that works.
@SanderLeopard I not think only the good design, is secondary, every platform customable for friendly interface... The surpriced thing is, how can the Android use power sources. In the same device is more fast, more stable. I has a lot of Win builded devices in the last few years and all have critical bugs, unworkable functions. And its not a manufacture mistakes, not a hardware problems.
@HUNLuther I hope you do know that this is not Windows Mobile. Last years have been very bad for Microsoft Windows Mobile, and this new approach really gives me a feeling that they're going the right way. Maybe their approach isn 't your way - which is why Windows Mobile or Android is good for you. Android can use power sources because it can. It's what it was built for, but as a consumer you don't even know what that is. So they don't use it.
@HK6 I don't think so... WP7.5 might become a very strong competitor but Android has the advantage of running on a tablet, where MS puts their chances on a combination of WP7 for phones and Win8 for tablets
@Chopaan I missed good syncing services which my Android didn't have. As well as better security - no risk for trojans and weird apps that steal stuff.
I am sorry, but windows is shit. They should of waited to release the phone the first time with mango (7.5) not this half built OS bull. Wasted everyone's time jumping the gun and trying to get this released early. The OS release with the first windows phones (wp7) was not acceptable, period.
Why do all these Mango vids have a British voice telling me about the phone. They sound like the cheesy salesmen on those late night info-mercials. I'd believe everything they say if I didn't already own this useless phone. And I use the term "phone" loosely. And can I use MP3s as ringtones or just the stupid s**t I buy from MS?
I have an HD7 (no Mango), the one that never should have gone to market. Looks like the same ugly phone that I'm using now. Will Mango address the issues of poor quality camera? Will I be able to save a pdf on my phone and send it when I need too? How about the issue of "no custom ringtones"? Will I be able to create my own folders and store whatever the hell I want to in them?? It's my phone after all. Flash video? Great phone if I were just starting to grow boobies and had a crush Beiber.
@nightsonnyjim - having watched 12 different 'Mango vids' I have yet to hear a 'British' voice and by that I take it you mean English. I thought I detected a Canadian there and a Hispanic accent but apart from that mostly American.
@BusterWebb1000 I think your dumbass meant to say "You do, it is". You see, you stupid no english speaking Iranian, "you are stand corrected" makes no sense. You stupid twat. I bet you'd like to have that one back, wouldn't you? Ok, not only do children like this phone, but so do stupid people. From now on, no one write to me unless you pay your own phone bill. I deal with adults only. English speaking adults, not like Mr. Emptysack here. I'm ignoring replies from virgins from here on out.
@nightsonnyjim - should I now declare myself an Iranian virgin, then you will no doubt ignore this comment! My English and Grammar is correct you inbred illiterate dickhead bigot; I am sure if you ask a grown-up they will explain this to you. Your lack of understanding of my language and racist attitude toward Iranians leads me to the conclusion that you are American...بنابراین تشکر
@TwitchF4C I'm sorry Sunshine, but no points for your english. You're punctuating and talking smack on a 4th grade level. And shitsack is one word, what are they teaching you kids today? I should have never let your dad blow me, I'll be labeled a faggot dick forever. Oh well. Anyway got that Mango update - the phone still sucked. And much like with your mom, I sold that bitch! Now, not only have I banged the sweetest part of your dad's neck, I just scewed the guy who bought the phone. Call me!

they would never catch up like this.. no flash support or crap, browser support for mobile version-nope. Apps store? nope... what else? interface? nope, copied zune... thumbs up if true
I cant wait for MANGO for WP7 but one BIG ISSUE: how about the APPS MARKETPLACE ? 80% of everything in the apps marketplace is useless and most of the apps there isnt as good or value as to what android would have to offer. So... Whats going to happen, Is there a big change also for the WP7 apps marketplace or MANGO just focus more on the hardware of the phone itself mainly ? Could be awesome to see new things happening for the apps marketplace. YOU use the apps more then making calls.
@KAZAN00 How about I give you one of both since there are so many. A program (or app) would have to be Touch Studios which is a first party app by Microsoft that allows you to script on your phone (yes, you can script games with it). A feature would be a messaging system that has Facebook chat, Windows Live Messenger, and SMS all integrated into one "thread" and allows you to switch between them in seconds. @HK6 is TouchStudio more important that say, FaceTime? Or iCloud to sync up your data? Or Google Services with Google Talk/Hangout and Sync doing all that?
Right now, WP7 is playing a catch up game with others. I could've bought it but I looked at available apps, really? No Google Maps? No Opera Mini? No flash? I mean yes, ios5 also does not have adobe flash but everyone bashing it for it, and I don't see anyone doing the same to WP7. I'm not saying there wouldn't be any of these things though
@KAZAN00 First off I would just like to say that iOS and Android have much richer App Marketplaces because they have been out much longer. I am not denying that. FaceTime is limited to Apple products and Skype will be coming soon to WP7 I am sure. You have been able to wireless sync your WP7 from Day 1 and SkyDrive can be used to save documents. I have a Google Maps app and don't need a different browser although there are many I could download.
@KAZAN00 iOS is bashed for not having Flash because they are very much against it as is evident by the decision to remove pre-installed Flash from their OS for desktops and laptops. The lack of such apps like Google Services and even Google+ is simply due to developers targeting richer app marketplaces and development cycles being started before WP7 became popular. I am sure with time, the WP7 marketplace will be just as app rich as the iOS and Android markets and maybe even more so.
@HK6 yeah well that's all in the future. I see no reason for buying a phone that I need to "wait for" to come around with great apps. I'd rather use my Android or in fact an iPhone two years more before WP7 starts to blossom. And I mean who knows? Android also is moving forward rapidly, I dare to say even faster then WP7 is. @HK6 Although I do think you can actually do some serious programming on Android, and there are some tools to script actions to certain events, so I'm not sure there would be any actual functionality missing beside the "fun" part in scripting your own phone
@HK6 that's a good one. an app that no one is going to use and a feature that can be recreated using third party apps on any of android or ios phones. really useful, I don't even know how I would live without scripting on my phone. Granted you're given a fair points, that is two things that android or and ios5 does not have, but what about all the thing that it DOES have that Mango doesn't? Like something more important than "scripting on a phone"? Okay but seriously though, think about it.

This phone seems to suck hard!
As all windows based phones it is so slow and unstable.
Look at 4:30.
The phones almost hangs when he "clicks" on the display.
At work I´m forced to use serval windows phones and all of them sucks.
Unstable, slow and often hangs.
Andriod and iPhone are still much better.

@HK6 okay then, tell me one program and or feature that android and/OR iOS5 does *NOT* currently have that Mango has?
KAZAN00 5 months ago
@KAZAN00 How about I give you one of both since there are so many. A program (or app) would have to be Touch Studios which is a first party app by Microsoft that allows you to script on your phone (yes, you can script games with it). A feature would be a messaging system that has Facebook chat, Windows Live Messenger, and SMS all integrated into one "thread" and allows you to switch between them in seconds. If you want more just let me know but I think my point is proven.

KAZAN00 5 months ago

@KAZAN00 I think WP7 has already blossomed but sadly app developers do not care much for WP7 yet.
