Suicide Silence basically took this song and made it sound like every other crappy screamo song ever made. There is also such a thing as too much distortion. He's using quite a bit in this song as it is, much more and it would be overkill for this style of music.

The slow tempo and distortion isn't enough to send me into a frenzy to want to go and kill someone, the lyrics are weak and don't sound angry apart from the chorus, but then it sounds like the vocalist is really really trying to scream it, while SS turn this song into one where I'd happily beat someone to death. Listen to SS's cover of this, you'll see what I mean (Vocals)
