I don't think it is gonna happen now. I heard that Bayh and Kaine(my governor in VA) are out. Bayh could help in the midwest. I think that Obama wants someone with a lot of experience on foreign affairs. Obama needs to get elected first and then worry about that later. Delaware is a blue state anyway. He needs Hillary's voters.

Actually I like that he's more of an ordinary orator. What does a great orator mean necessarily? John Edwards was great at speaking and look at him now. Bayh is more savvy and not so goofy in his personal life.

He won't make a HUGE dent, but he puts Indiana in play and Ohio is next door! IF he picks him, Obama might and I say that word loosely could carry the entire Midwest around the Great Lakes area. ALso, he may pull some Reagan Democrats and Independents over. When it comes to the issue of race and I hate to bring it up, people who are hesitant about a black president will have a white vice president as a back up who is not very liberal and has experience as a governor with centrist views.

I have a theory that everyone who criticizes Bayh as being boring when he speaks are the ones who are really boring and resent anyone with more luster and looks. It's called an inferiority complex.
