NBC always brought a plot line to there NBA into's. You felt the drama,, tension but yet the excitement for a NBA game, especially NBA Playoffs and Finals. ABC/ESPN really took that excitement way for the past 7-8 years

This may be taboo but I think those 2008 Celtic and Laker teams could maybe outdue the ones from the 1980s. Main reason, 2008 teams so much more athletic. I mean could anyone on the 1980s Celtics jump higher than 10" off the ground? (yes overexaggeration but you get the pt). And the 1980s Lakers weren't much better athletically. Ever since 1990s to beyond we have a way more athletic society.

@timsk. I respect your opinion and yes maybe you rather watch 980s but fact is 1990-beyond those top teams were much faster, stronger, and more athletic than 1980s and before. Speed kills and so does athleticism. 1980s Celtics would have not ran such a crisp offense with longer, quicer, faster guys guarding them all over the court and the rebounds would not go 1908s waysince 1990s-beyond can outjump them easily and outmuscle them with more strength.

This is how ABC/ESPN needs to open up their NBA Finals Games! The human drama, better music themes like the ones CBS and/or or NBC uses, not those pansy ass, wussy ass music themes like the Pussy Cat Dolls ABC used in their past NBA Finals Games before 2008.
